A wonderful place to spend the day relaxing, and having fun. Reasonable prices. Take a picnic, or grab food at Rubys food window, bring some music and enjoy.
My kids love it. But now is closed
The water here, even on a hot day, is so cold! Its a nice facility for a good price to sit out in the sun. You cant bring any sort of tent but you can get an umbrella. I wish the water didnt feel like an iceberg and the sand got a nightly grooming or something. There is access to the Rubys right next door which is great. Parking is pretty easy. Fun time overall and good value.
Great place for families with kids. Safe environment with life guards on duty. Bring your own beach chairs, umbrellas. Canopies are not allowed. Picnic areas needs to be reserved in advance. A lot of day campers from various school. Water is on cooler side. No wifi. Restrooms are clean with changing area. Kids pay $6, adults $8. Free parking for disabled people.
Safe and very cute. Kids love it. A little dirty at the end of summer. Next year will try at beginning. Still, definitely fun for kids and a great family outing.
Spent so much time to go here, and last year they didnt let us in because of different time and prices were like at $40 if I remember correctly. They had some special occasion but it was no where on the website, and it wasnt even suppose to be on that day. Great waste of time, nice.
This place is great for toddlers because the water is shallow and there are no waves. Theres also a little playground as well. Because you have to pay to get in, I felt like families there were a lot nicer and more considerate than youd find at a public beach, and we went on a pretty crowded Su day afternoon too. The only downside was that we brought a pop-up tent for shade but they only allow umbrellas.
Excellent option for kids. The staff is always checking the water. Also checking the safety of everyone specially kids. It was not deep at all, which is fantastic for young kids and their safety. Water was crystal clear today. This is a family orientated fun place to go. If you have young kids I recommend you to stay closer to the playground, kids love it.
Such a fun safe place. Went with my nephews. They had a blast. Lifeguard on duty really looked out for safety. The entrance price is not bad if you stay there most of the day. Price to reserve a table though not worth it. The lagoon is only a few deer deep safe and fun for the little ones. Theres also a great slide area for the older kids and experiences swimmers with 8ft deep. Have fun and bring some blankets and a cooler.
Its wonderful I love it
This place is a water playground with picnic areas. Is a nice spot for families with small kids. Theres a fee, so check the website or call before you go to make sure you know what youll need to pay for yourself and family..
This is the most requested place of my family. Kids love it here. This is the most interesting part of the city and we really enjoyed the whole time. Its worth it.
Safe and very cute. Kids love it. A little dirty at the end of summer. Next year will try at beginning. Still, definitely fun for kids and a great family outing.
Should provide more shaded areas. Make sure you have plenty of sunscreen and a big umbrella, if not you will get bad sun burn.
Visited two years ago and this was a good place to bring younger children. Not the case this time around...trash all over the grounds (not enough trash cans and people dont seem to care about public space), bathrooms were disgusting, tons of rude and obnoxious people. Got pushed out of the way at the one functional outdoor shower after waiting our turn. Someone else tried to start a fight with people in line at the Rubys window for no reason. Will not return because the environment is unwelcoming and trashy. Ill spend my money elsewhere.
KROQ THE RADIO STSTION hosted for the first time their annual Weenie Roast at this location on the beach. I loved it. We were on grass not dand all day . We attend every year and really enjoyed it at the beach.Great atmosphere which made all who attended in a great mood fueled to the nice sea breeze. I completely recommend to all .
We had an awesome family day out. Very nice and safe swimming for kids.
Great place to take the kids for the day. Tons of fun.
This place is awesome for people with young children. It is very safe and family friendly. The staff is very attentive. We had a great time. Definitely worth visiting.
Small poolside like mini beach!... perfect to spend the day with the kids. They have a 2 slides and splash area. They also have table s throughout. Most importantly there are lifeguards onsite. You can get from Rubys Diner to complete your day out at the beach.
This is a wonderful place to go. Its low key and fun and a place you can take the kids and grandparents and spend all day knowing that everyone is getting their vitamin D and having a blast too. Its a diverse place that represents LA. Mostly mommies and children, which is a cool vibe. The lagoon is seawater and easy swimming. There are areas cut off for different swimming abilities. The life guards do their jobs well. The slides are bomb!! Its great to have a Rubys for lunch if you dont want to bring food. The staff is helpful and friendly. The parking is decently priced and you get validation. My one complaint: its seasonal and only open during the summer. This breaks my heart because I would be here all the time. Anyway, whether youre a local Angeleno or an out of towner visit this place for laid back fun in the sun. Oh and they do test the water consistently, as an added benefit. So go!
Most of the staff is really friendly. Had an issue with a staff member saying something was ok the supervisor cleared it up and didnt penalize us for it which I completely appreciated. Didnt use the restroom but the place itself is clean. The staff comes by and empties out trash bins. They also pick up trash from the floor. Its a really nice place.
I went to the Seaside lagoon for the Wowsa open water swim fest. It was a great event and I have to share the best story. A swimmer from Malaysia attempted the 10k swim and didnt finish. As he walked up to the beach he realized his bag was gone. He had not finished and he was not without dry clothes, his wallet, his rental car keys and his passport. He was utterly defeated and walked up to on of the vendor booths. The people at HARDCORESPORT heard the news and gave him a dry set of clothes at no charge. The most amazing thing occurred next when one of them realized he didnt have footware and GAVE HIM THE SHOES OF HER FEET!!!!! amazing!!
Fun place! I enjoy coming here to bring the little ones! You cant go wrong if you need a tablet you can always rent a spot. Definitely reserve and be ready to come have fun. Definitely a spot to enjoy during the summer. While at it try Rubys dinner!
Great place for the family. $8.00 adults $6.00 kids. $2.00 x hour parking with validation. You can even order lunch at Rubys window or take your own lunch.
Amazing ALS event and gathering of community. Perfect spot for kids and family to gather
Best place on earth
This was a really cute area, fenced in, and no waves. Shallow/zero entry, it was great for my 4&5 yo. Parking was a bit confusing, there is a lot across from the Crowne Plaza with Rubys diner that you can park in. Parking attendant was snippy. They validate parking so if you are there for more than 3 hours bring your parking ticket to the check in area. Bathroom facilities were clean and lifeguards on duty. I will be visiting again.
I loved the seaside lagoon 1 because it is Georgus. 2 the water slides were so fun. And 3 that staff was so polite. #best beach ever.
Awesome place for the family. I have great memories of being their as a child and today Im with 2 of my granddaughters! Loving it!
We go every year. Great place for kids. Dont forget to get an ice cream cone at Rubys.
I brought my kids here they loved it! They had so much fun they asked if we can go back soon! We deff are !
Geez who loves creepy tubs of toilet water!? We doooo
Love this place been coming here for years
Great sea food spot Joes crab shack. And diner. Rubys
FUN FUN FUN. GREAT PLACE TO PLAY! Life guards shallow and deep water.
Entrance for adults is $8 and children $6, they do charge for parking though it varies on the amount of time spent there. The kids do love it, and the area is gated. One is also able to reserve a spot and have a bday party.
This place is great. Water isnt too deep, no waves. Fun water spray areas and for bigger kids a couple slides.
Nice spot to have a bite and hang out by the harbor. Everything is in close walking distance. Food is good and reasonably priced.
Love this place Family oriented facility.
Eat at Rubys Diner next door. View the Lagoon from Rubys windows. Great place for kids.
Fun and relaxing. Only thing you cCant have floaties in the bit deeper water. But Fun especially for the wee ones.
Small man-made beach. Perfect for little ones to introduce them to sand and water, and good for family outings.
Cool but its only open in summer
5 stars if people werent smoking weed near the lagoon. Law Enforcement needs to have more presence near the lagoon.
Havent been here since I was a little girl with my mom best day ever
Was closed when I was there as it was winter though looks like a great spot.
Great location, and amenities. Couldnt find it online, but there is parking next door with validation for $6. Also, no shades or tents allowed, only umbrellas.
Very clean well kept area including bathrooms. Swim areas are roped off to assist swimmers to know where they need to be depending on how well they can swim. Lifeguards are very attentive to whats going on. Parking was pretty good. Awesome place to bring kids/people of all ages.
Go to Joes Crab shack the food is worth the wait
Cool place to watch the 4th of July fireworks it has Rubys right next to it that sells some really good apple pie
Tight, kids enjoyed it had a really great time get there early for a good space.
We love visiting every summer. Can get a bit busy if kids camps are present. Price increased a bit, but its a pleasant place to relax, knowing kids can be safe in the gated surroundings.
Fun for the kids, lots of places to walk and enjoy sights of ocean living, decent places to eat close by
This place is awesome. Its pretty much a man made beach/lagoon thats fun for people of all age groups. They have a nice little sandy area for the kids to sit down and play and make sand castles of sand angels.
Its a great place with no waves or current but still have ocean water and sand shallow areas fountains and water slides
Very nice for kids under the age of 9 but not older cause than it gets boring
This place is amazing, the picknic area and the bathrooms they keep all the time cleaning, believe me your kids really enjoy this lagoon, have a parking lot at the marina and you pay $6 approx.
It was really nice... Ill be having my sons first birthday party here next month! Only thing I would change is the trash on the water
This is my favorite place ever. Its so beautiful, clean, friendly. Ive been there 3 times. And its just like being there for the first.
Man made swimmimg hole for the whole fam! Little kids can enjoy of all swimming stages. Water is chlorinated with recycled ocean water, so I wouldnt call it a pool. 2 small slides and 3 water play areas. Big kids may get bored, but for the price its worth it! Try it at least once if you want a change from traditional pools or the beach.
Safe for little kids my kids always have a great time there, the only thing I dont like is the small playground on the beach it is very rusty
Was unfortunately closed during a beautiful sunny day... Looked nice from outside the fence though.
Ummm great place to take pics? Haha
Love that its not over crowded and can find a spot under a palm tree.
Nice place to visit. Very calming listening to the splash of the waves
Some ghetto ppl go there now but it used to be nice
I like going here with or without the grandkids. Very peaceful and pretty
Wonderful place to bring you toddlers to, great experience for all!
Fun place to launch our kayak into the harbor, park near Rubys. $2/hour parking.
I had a great time with my family and the Staff was great and helpful
It was a really nice place to go with the fam... not expensive and lots of parking spots...
Great food, relaxing ambiance!
Great place to hang out and cool off during the week. Saturdays and Sundays are packed, still enjoyable. Bring umbrellas for shade, they have coupons for Dominos Pizza or you can order Rubys. Mixed crowd. Slides are fun.
Nice place to bring the lil ones. The place is clean & lifesavers on site at all times
The best
Lets just say that its ok for small children. Safe, enclosed yet not that big of an area. Picnic tables need to be reserved, that was a disappointment, but overall the kids had fund. Recommend for small children 2-10. Parking was relatively cheap, but you need to have your ticket validated at the office as you enter. Entrance fee was also quite cheap, $6 for children and $8 for adults. Overall, had a good day. Recommend you bring beach chairs because there are not many tables available to sit.
Great place, but water was very cold!
Great place for the summer
At the beach, open area, great for kids if all ages to have a safe fun time .
Awesome sauce!!! Friendly staff, kids love it.
