Ive really enjoyed the classes (intro to environments, charactercraft and blender) Ive taken so far! Whether your a beginner or experienced you learn a lot and make a lot of new friends.It gets cold in the winter so bring a jacket.

Going to this school is one of the best decisions I have ever made as someone whos pursuing a designer career in the entertainment industry.I did my first environment design class(taught by the school founder Josh Kao) in fall 2018 and I am doing a character design class taught by Paul Richards(Spring 2019).Here are the reasons why I’ll keep taking more classes and will recommend it to my friends:1.Instructors are highly professional and experienced. They all work currently in the industry.The classes they deliver are not only advanced, also up-to-date.2.Classes are small but not too small. The classes I took had about 7-10 students. Everyone were able to get enough attention, Q&A time and homework feedback from the instructor. The instructors were able to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities and interests.3.The school founder Josh Kao is very responsible and friendly. Under his leading and organizing, the classes have a relaxed and warm vibe.With the instructors’ guidance and my own hard work, I’ve made huge progress and improvement during these a few months with The Workshop Academy. Before last fall, I didn’t really know much about the industry and didn’t know any artists in the area. Now I’m well connected in the game artists’ network and feel confident in this concept artist career.The tuition is totally worth the cost.I would love to see the school grow and offer more great classes.
