Do not miss the chance to visit. The highlight of our trip to Redmond. This is on the property of Eagle Crest resort, where we were staying for the week of spring break. We visited one afternoon and loved it. The artist (Alfred) was there during our visit and it was a delight to talk with him about his work and life philosophies. Alfreds art is a symbolic artist and he has explanations of all the paintings that are very engaging and thought-provoking. We spent hours studying the paintings and reading the explanations. The gallery manager Patty is awesome! My 11 year old son mentioned that he likes to draw. Patty told us about an art class Alfred does that was perfect for him. We signed him up for a class the next day. He was the only student! Alfred sat with him 1 on 1 for two hours and guided him in the creation of a charcoal sketch. He gave him lots of great advice and encouragement and our son had a fabulous time. He has a beautiful matted charcoal drawing that he created himself that was included as part of the class. Lots of original art for sale, and although a bit out of our price range, prices were not crazy. Lots of high quality limited edition reproductions and framed pieces. We bought one of my favorites, and also a card for our 5-year-old daughter, which Alfred spent several minutes talking to her about while he signed it. If you are lucky, Patty might even make you some raspberry lemonade.
Excellent- art of Alfred Dolezal in legendary. Mind for the ages. His work is unique and awe inspiring.Master of art here. Highly recommended and you should check it out.
I took an art lesson from Alfred, he helped me with drawing, shading, over lapping with objects in front and back. I was drawing a hummingbird and one flew by the window and stayed there for us to watch. Lovely setting, left with a matted finished drawing.
Beautiful art work with emotion throughout. A must see if your around Eagle Crest.
Cool little art gallery! AND its the only one your going to find without going into Bend. PLUS, the local scenery surrounding it is awesome. Go check out some beautiful art and then have a nice walk on the surrounding pathways.
I never had the opportunity to work one on one with such a brilliant artist. While I stayed a week at the Eagle Crest Resort, I reserved a one on one session with Alfred. Having not picked up a pencil in years it was a relief to get inspired so quickly within his art studio/gallery. I learned new techniques and having my piece framed by Patti,Alfreds dear wife, just made it a memorable moment in such a beautiful place. Next time I need to make more time to spend with his artwork in the gallery. Each piece tells such an in depth story. Thank you so much to Alfred and Patti, it will be just the first visit.
Super location. Very nice area. Interesting Art.
This was the highlight of my stay at Eagle Ridge Resort. Just so happened it was on a Sunday and we were going to church so whats right next door is this wonderful art gallery, well needless to say we never managed to get to church two hours later were still there with the owner and his wife showing us and explaining to us hes art and the deep meanings of each peice. I could write a book on this man and his works but better to Google him and find out what hes really all about. You wont be disappointed I got to bring home some lovely gifts signed and framed
Wasnt expecting what we found. Unique and diverse art with integrated meanings and perspectives. Picked up several prints that were applicable to our son and daughter as well as a couple that applied to my wife and myself. Very helpful staff. This is a dont miss gallery, even if you arent looking to buy.
What a visionary. One can study the paintings and take in soul messages and the artist was there so that added to the overall experience
Our family was staying at the Eagle Crest Resort and this gallery is onsite. It was extremely fascinating, thought-provoking and educational. Each piece had an amazing story, which we heard directly from the artisit as he showed us around the gallery.
Very emotional and personal yet universal. His work will move you!
