First time I played Mona Lisa 5 years ago, and came back to check remodeling Mona Lisa quest (my fav theme). I love the idea of hand-made quest, know the family own this place, puzzles and ideas are just amazing.
This place is an interesting place! It can be a team building event for work, friends, family! You have one hour to solve the mystery but little instructions as to what needs to be done! So you are not sure what really needs to be done. So it can be difficult to figure out the clues as some things are not a part of the clue. The people are nice and do check in with you. The room allows up to 6 people in a room and there is one room you start in that leads to another. Roughly 6 different clues that leads to mastering the ultimate goal.I would consider visiting again.
This was my first Escape Room experience. We did this as a team-building event and it was a lot of fun. The staff was friendly and the room was put together well. The riddles were challenging, and we really had to work as a team to solve them. Overall, it was great fun and I highly recommend the experience!Im giving this 4 start since one of the riddles was nonsensical - at least to us. We solved the whole thing by ourselves (you are allowed 5 hints) but this was the only thing we were stumped on. The hints were not helpful either. At the end, we were basically told the answer, and we did as instructed and escaped, but the solution did not make sense. It took away from our feeling of accomplishment, and put a (small) stain on an otherwise perfect experience. I am not giving any hints as to the puzzle or the solution, in case this was just an issue for our team. (I did ask the person who recommended this place and they agreed with my assessment, but your experience may be different.)
This was a fantastic way to spend an evening celebrating my birthday. We had a helper assigned to us that was absolutely wonderful. I wasn’t sure which building to go in, and he called me, came out to the street to get us, took us in, and was both kind and helpful the entire time. He truly ensured that we had everything we needed for a very fun and rewarding experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. I will always remember this extremely entertaining and exciting evening.
Love these guys always great puzzles and staff
Such a fun experience. My fourth escape room and the detail in the game was definitely the best I’ve seen. The puzzles were a bit simplistic and although we only had 2 minutes left when we finished I felt like they were a bit obvious. We had trouble with the mechanics.
We had a great time doing the Express at Conundroom! We went on Thanksgiving so no one else was there - this turned out to be awesome since they gave us extra time to solve the puzzle. It was definitely pretty challenging, but not necessarily because the puzzles were super hard - mostly because we were disorganized and passing over clues we should have followed. It definitely helps with this one to divide and conquer - there is a lot to do if you want to solve it within an hour. I would say there were only one or two items that were tricky that we could only do after getting a hint. There were no red herrings or items that threw us off course, so thats great. We got quite a few hints, especially toward the end - he always gave us just the right amount to get us unstuck. In the end we were there over an hour and a half to solve it.One of the puzzle parts wasnt working correctly - we solved it, but a screen that was supposed to give us the next clue was just gibberish. We had no idea what this meant until the puzzle runner came in and saw what was going wrong and rebooted the machine to fix it. He was nice about it, and gave us a discount coupon for next time.Well definitely be back to do one of their other rooms. This one may be pretty hard to solve in an hour but it was really well put together.
Fantastic first experience! I’m a major game lover. It was probably a bit easier than I would like but 10/10 would come back and they were really kind.
Truly the best Escape Room in WA! Celebrated birthday in quest last month, Mona Lisa is great and team was helpful. The game guide said family owned this business for couple years. Puzzles are really UNIQUE!We will definitely back with kids (make sure kids are with adult). So much fun!
This was not only an exciting outing for my whole family, but a nail-biter to the end. We were given 60 minutes tostreal the Mona Lisa and right from the get-go, we spread out to look for clues. You are given the ability you ask ONLY 5 times for assistance (we only asked 3 times), and then complete it within the time-frame. I CANNOT TELL you how much fun it was. You MUST go there, yourself. Fun for my whole family (2 teenage daughters). If you hey a chance, I strongly suggest it for you.
We escaped and figured out the Mona Lisa room! But we needed help. It was hard but fun. We have 4, would have been good to have 6.One of the best rooms in the area.
A few friends and I did the time traveling one and it was so high tech and awesome! They gave us extra time to get out even though we didn’t make it and it was set up so well. I highly recommend this place, defiantly worth the price
I thought the room was a little complicated in frustrating ways. But it was fun, nonetheless. I would suggest coming here to work as a team, would be great as a team building exercise. Maybe not so great as a party location?? If I were a kid, I think Id want something a little less time consuming (like several of the elements took more time than what I felt was necessary; they were relatively easy but too time consuming). Again, it was still really fun and I would highly suggest this place for any group of people looking to bond in a fun environment!
SO MUCH FUN!!! Our family of 4 had a great time stealing the Mona Lisa. Great puzzles kept us on our toes the entire hour. Definitely will be back to save the world, escape off a train or..........?
Loved it! It was our first time doing an escape room (we did the Mona Lisa one) and it was so fun (except for the research part). Staff were friendly and helpful. Will go again. Kinda pricey though.
Great experience here. We had the Ex. machine v1.0 room and it was tons of fun. Since we had only 3 people so we took almost 1.5 hours, and the limited time supposed to be 1 hour, but because of the small size of our party, they let us to extend the time. (Lesson learn, try to have group of 5 or more for this room)People there are super friendly and helpful, and I will definitely visit their other rooms.
My family and I did the 1-hour Express escape room at Conundroom. Were a puzzle-loving group, but having never done an actual escape room, we were all completely blind going in. It was challenging but not frustrating, and we all had a great time putting the pieces together and working together to beat the room. Highly recommended!
Weve been coming to Odyssey VR since we moved to Seattle in 2017. Weve celebrated 3 birthdays here and I normally bring my kids in when family come to visit. Every time we come in something has changed and/or been upgraded for the better. Its always a fun experience and my son always walks out looking like he just ran a marathon. The games are always changing and I feel like the website does a good job updating what games are available as well as age ratings. Most importantly, I feel the pricing is fair and appropriate, for birthday parties as well as hourly reservations.
We played the Express escape room (family of four w/ two tweens); it was nice having the whole room to ourselves. The puzzles were a good difficulty with our kids ages. The host was very friendly and gave good hints when we asked during the game. We ended up beating the room with 35 seconds to spare, so that was pretty intense and exciting. Overall, Id highly recommend this room and we plan on doing the others escape rooms with this company in the future.
Wish I could give this place 5 stars, but I cant. The rooms are fun and the facility is clean. However, weve now done three of the rooms (Express, Mona Lisa Heist, and Ex Machine). At every single one of our experiences something has either failed or the room was not completely set up correctly before we started. I wont go much further into explaining on here, as I dont want to give hints away to others that might not have done some of these room puzzles yet. It has been a really disappointing experience, all three times. The most frustrating part is we did the Ex Machine last night and had just over 15 minutes left (without asking for any hints!) and we needed to figure out the very last part. The guy who was our guide decided to give away the answer to the last part!! Without us asking! If wed made it through to the very end without hints, I am positive we would have figured out the very last thing in a 15 minute time frame. What the heck!?! Anyway it is fun, but I am kind of disappointed in our experiences, especially this last one. If your guests dont ask for hints, keep them to yourself!
Super fun experience for a group of middle school boys! Very laid back environment with a lot of options of types of VR games. Their only complaint was that an hour wasnt long enough!
Loved it! We did the Mona Lisa guest a team of 4 and it was challenging. We had to use all our hints and wished we started asking for them earlier than we did. My advice is get your first hint straight on and work form there. Enjoy the game!
The group had an awesome time! The host was very accommodating and helpful. And the puzzles was just the right difficulty for a group of 12year olds. Definitely recommending the place and returning for another game!
My son and nephew had a blast here. Very nice staff and clean play area. Super chill and price is solid. They network locally so your kids can see what its like to play with each other without lag. A++
So much fun! Super exciting, fast paced hour. Our host (unfortunately forgot his name), was so nice and helpful. Overall a great experience.
Nice place. Good folks made the experience as good as it can be. If you’re looking to get a good VR experience, this is no hassle, straightforward and fun.
I tried to Email you Alex, but my email failed to be sent to the address you gave me. Are you sure thats the right email address?-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Went here twice and had bad experiences both times.First experience:When we got there, they didnt have the room setup for us and asked if we wanted to try a different room. Turned out that wasnt setup either so the one guy quickly setup our original room and got himself locked in one of the rooms in the process. After freeing him and finally getting to start the room, after completing one of the very first puzzles, it didnt trigger to open something it should have so we wasted time trying to figure that out. Also, a puzzle was left open so we got an item earlier than we should have. At the end of the puzzle, we completed it but it didnt tell us so we spent more time trying to figure out what to do next when we were actually done.Second experience:We arrived early but there was no one at the location to help us. The guy finally shows up 20 minutes after our scheduled time with no explanation. We decide to do the room anyways since were all there. Once again, there was a puzzle left open so we got an item earlier than we were supposed to. But we were able to finish this one with no further issues.Probably not going back again. The staff was apologetic and offered us discounts for the next time, but were unable to do anything more for us.
Ive only been to a couple of escape rooms but this was the pinnacle. Its a hard place to find as it looks like an office building or apartment building. They have a few different escape rooms I believe on the second and first floor. We did a work team builder and did the time travelling option. The folks there are super knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Apparently we did one that Bill Gates and his kiddos did, according to the picture they have in the room. The puzzles are challenging but fun and has a really cool story line so you can get into it.We didnt finish in the time allotted but it was still a great time and would love to go back and do another one of their puzzles.
Great for groups! Encourages collaboration and involvement. Intriguing puzzles - we really enjoyed our time there.
Very cool experience! The kids love it. They said they’d to try another one next time.
Took my mom and my nephew. We all had a blast (even the grandmother). Its a little hard to find as the entrance is tucked around a corner.
One of the most in depth escape rooms Ive ever experienced. All the puzzles were very intuitive yet challenging.
So much fun. The staff here is very understanding and friendly. We were delayed by 15 minutes trying to find the place but they managed to accommodate us. We did the express escape room. Had a great time.
We had out of town guests...great way to have a laugh together and solve a puzzle! Great time.
Booked an hour for myself, wife, and two boys. We had a blast, playing together as a family as well as individually. Make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes as it is surprisingly more physical than you would think, but that made it even more fun. The team there was extremely responsive to all questions before the booking and during the session it self. If you do the arcade experience I highly recommend trying the lab first and then hitting the other games. My only critique, more fans or even A/C but otherwise I can not say enough about how much fun we had and how nice and helpful all were. We will go again.
Fun puzzles, friendly staff, interesting theme. They even let us go long when we didnt finish on time. Only thing is the room decorations and props are starting to look warn from all the use and abuse.
A fun activity with coworkers. We were a seven person team which meant a couple people were standing around at any given point in time. 2-6 people working in pairs would have been ideal.I was a novice but several on my team were experienced in these things and that made it much easier to get into it.Staff was helpful and upbeat, puzzles were interesting and required some thought to solve. We definitely came away with a sense we earned the victory.
Very friendly staff welcomed us about 5 minutes before our start time. He went over all the rules, asked if we had questions and let us get started. Our family of 8 ranged in age from 9yrs. to 47yrs and we all enjoyed the puzzle. This was our first escape room except for one of us. We solved the puzzle early and were offered an incentive to return. Enjoyable entertainment for our family. We plan to return again soon!
We had a birthday of 12 year old girls and it was great! It was a first time for all and we didnt quite finish but everyone was really engaged. Cant wait to check out another room.
Qualifications to this review: We visited with a 6 year old, a 13 year old, a grumpy adult, and were late (hence the grumpy member). Those all probably shaded our experience (the six year old was able to make small contributions and had fun, but his youthful impatience also distracted from the game). That being said, I think there were a few items in our puzzle that Conundroom could have prepared better. They are small items, but with a puzzle room small things count. A small hangup leads you to waste a clue or a lot of your time. For instance, (the actual issue has been changed to protect your experience), there were levers that you needed to hold up rather than just push up. We got stuck on this not because we didnt know what to do, but because we never thought to hold the levers up. Switches or levers dont normally work that way. You just flick them and they complete the circuit. This oddity caused us to dismiss this solution and waste time looking for another avenue. Similarly, the solution to one box was to simply slide it open. Yes, we should have thought of that, but the host instructed us not to force anything open. So, we were careful not to pull and pry boxes, clocks, drawers, etc open. It was a little disappointing when we used a clue to simply find out that we should have tried sliding the box side to expose the inside. Otherwise, it was a fun puzzle in a good environment.
Fantastic experience. There were 6 of us including 2 kids (ages 9 and 13). We did The Mona Lisa highest. At first the room didn’t seem very big but part of solving the highest is opening a door in the room that extends to a second room so the whole area is two rooms connected. When we arrived we had to ring the doorbell there’s not too much signage on the outside of the building they take you up to the second floor straight to the rooms there’s not a reception desk or anything but I found this to be all right. They give you up to five clues which were very helpful. I also appreciated the fact that since we didn’t solve it within one hour but they give you up to an extra half hour to complete it and make sure they give you enough clues at the end to solve it in the end. I was impressed with the lay out of the puzzles and I would definitely come back to this company and do a different room. My nine-year-old daughter didn’t feel like she was able to solve a lot of the clues whereas the 13-year-old did much better, so I would suggest if you bring children under 12 go with a smaller group so you can have more time including them in solving process. Because things started picking up really quickly and she felt left behind.
Took my two preteen daughters with 6 of their cousins for the Mona Lisa heist! They had a ton of fun. Absolutely loved it. It was a bit too difficult for them but they got really lucky and ended up stealing the painting anyway. Staff was great and very helpful! Would highly reccomend
Did the Mona Lisa Heist with a group of 7 between 24-30yrs and had lots of fun, finishing with plenty of time to spare. The room was beautifully staged with lots of different puzzles to solve - no one was ever just standing there, which our group has struggled with before from more linear rooms. Also loved the extra touch of leaving candy in the room! Will definitely be returning soon to try Ex Machine.
Our son celebrated his18th birthday with 7 friends doing the Ex Machine. They had an absolute blast and said it was one of the best escape rooms theyve ever done.
Great experience! We had a lot of fun. Escape room is always good for the raining days, fit the atmosphere and a place to avoid the bad weather.
Great fun and quite challenging for all of us - 4 novices and 2 experienced!
My son played the Ex Machine (time travel) with his friends on his 14th birthday, and they all really enjoyed this great game. My son said this is the best birthday party hes ever had. Hes very excited to explore more games in Conundroom!
The Mona Lisa room was lots of fun. The only suggestion I have is that Conundrum needs to make sure all of the puzzles work properly. There was a light out on one puzzle and the code gears were hard to line up properly. But overall a great time. We will be going back.
Tons of fun and just the right amount of puzzles and difficulty for the 60 minute experience. We finished in 58 minutes actually, and that was only by wisely using 3 of the 4 hints. Conundroom does a great job and were pretty excited to try two of the other rooms we havent been to yet.
Service was great! The clerk was really helpful and game selection was top-notch. Overall, my experience was quite enjoyable. I will definitely be doing it again.
:O I love it here so much, the escapes room were a blast. My friend was having a birthday party, and it was fun having all of us trying to sort it out. There’s also special 3-D printed things to match the specific escape room, which I thought were really cool. There’s even some good little candies in the little lobby before u start the escape room. You should definitely try it out.
We played Star Trek as a group and had a great time there. The staff was very friendly. The facility was very well maintained. I highly recommend the company. One note to booking is that if you have a group like us over 2 people, call or e-mail them directly.
My 15 year old daughter asked to do an escape room with a friend for her birthday so the 3 of us did Express: Stop the Train and had a blast. We finished in 58 minutes (less than 2 minutes to spare) the guide was great, the story was fun, the puzzles were varied and exciting, etc.We did need a couple of hints, in one case I had to pull a little harder on a hidden door than I thought I should have had to which felt a little on the unfair side, but overall when we were given hints they were oh duh moments which means the puzzles are well designed.
It was an awesome experience! Staff was amazing and helped us throughout the way. Signing online was easy as well and when you show up, theres no other paperwork. Ive already recommended this place to my friends and will come again!
Super friendly and energetic staff, set up was fun and great for team outing (or with friends). Not as fancy as other newer escape room attractions, however puzzles were indeed challenging and can see thought put into it. Though the only complaint is that there are some things left really unexplained and you wouldnt have known unless you asked for clue.
I had an amazing time here with a few co-workers. The puzzles are amazingly thought of and they make you think out of the box to solve them. Make sure to go in a pack of smart people as it may get difficult and distracting at times. They offer many different puzzles and they change frequently so it is never the same puzzle.
This was my first time doing an escape room and it was definitely fun.
My team loved the Ex Machine room! We had a blast and got out in 41 minutes. Since I started at Microsoft, all of our team morale events have been eating at restaurants .When it was my turn to choose, I wanted something more fun and collaborative. Everyone loved the escape room, and I think it may be a while before anyone chooses to eat at a restaurant - we will be back for another room! Thanks for a fantastic production.
Oh my goodness! This place is brilliant! I want to go again and again and... You get the point.
Went as a family of 3 (2 adults and 10y/o son) and had THE BEST time! Every was able to have their own unique experience while still being in the same room. There were many games to choose from. Staff- Shay was very friendly and helpful and got us set up right away. Would highly recommend this as a group activity!
Was very fun! Everything was well put together
I love all kind of puzzles, so when my husband found this place I was hooked. He organized an event with 6 of our friends. We had a lot of fun. You really have to work together and fast to dismiss (which we did with a minute to spare). I found that we missed out a bit as sometimes we were too many people in a particular puzzle and many others we divided and conquer, so we did not all participated in all the puzzles.Still we had a blast. It can test the strengths of some relationships and really showcases how people react in a team setting. I highly recommend it!
The Mona Lisa was fun!! Great family activity. The person overseeing the rooms that day was very helpful. One suggestion I would like to make however, is for each part the puzzle that is solved there should be a clue that comes with that to lead you to the next part of the puzzle. Instead of having to ask for help all the time. Thank you
We stayed at the venue, but didn’t join our son and his 7 buddies as they solved the Mona Lisa adventure for his 12th birthday. But because we were on site we could hear the kids and watch your interaction with our group. You guys were so patient and encouraging, and it ended up such a total blast for these kids! They didn’t solve it in an hour, but you still let them solve it, so thank you!Sarah
This was a fantastic experience for our family. We did the first escape room and we had so much fun that we are going back to do the other two rooms.
Had a lot of fun. The employee who set up The VR game for us was professional and friendly. Would do it again.
This is one of the greatest places to celebrate a birthday party in my opinion. For one of the rooms I did more recently I had a really cool game guide named Alex I believe, setup definitely differed from the other rooms that I have been to, very nice person, good jokes. These guides try not to interfere unless you are doing something absolutely stupid and/or against the rules. Otherwise they just give you a quick rundown, organize, and let you do what you do. The rooms are all very well made with careful attention to detail based on setting and atmosphere. Overall Im impressed and would definitely go here again ( to a room I have not gone to before of course )
We tried the The Ex-Machina room. It says 60 mins time and medium difficulty. I think, this was definitely longer than 60 mins, but overall fun. The puzzles were nicely setup and smart. Really liked it. I will definitely try their other room in future.
Had my sons surprise 16th birthday party here. He and his friends had a blast! He said the party was epic. Will definitely be back.
It was great experience. Attention to details. Great job.
Fun puzzle! We did the Mona Lisa Heist, it was a great puzzle.
This is a lot of fun. If you have never done it I recommend trying it.
Me and my friends have done about 9 escape rooms and Conundroom has been one of the best. We search for the blogged about difficult ones in the Seattle area and this one popped up. We tried the Ex-Machine and thoroughly enjoyed it. The puzzles were different than what you typically see which was a breath of fresh air and also made it more challenging. Great atmosphere and decorations. Multiple rooms. Kind staff. Great experience.
Fun, but a bit too difficult..maybe it was just us
Did the Mona Lisa escape room. Was easy but still took time. We had 9 people so I would say it would probably be more difficult for a smaller group. The staff was really friendly and helped whenever we asked with pretty useful hints that didnt just give away the answer. Overall, super fun. Give it a try!
We went with our teen kids and our parents. They were very helpful and we all had fun.
I had no idea what this place is. It turned out to be a fun experience, solving some pretty good puzzles. We had 2 groups of 8 people and that worked out OK. Smaller groups are probably better.
Joined a team my workplace for the games. 30 of us were separated amongst 3 rooms, 3 different themes. My teams theme was the Mona Lisa heist- 1 hour to solve the puzzles to lift the painting. With a large number of participants, each of us set to solve the individual puzzles in the teams. The puzzles were not diabolically hard, nor were they easy. Our room contained mostly logic puzzles, including a hefty number of combo locks that our teams slowly unraveled to obtain the first key. The other puzzles were also multi-stage (solving smaller puzzles to unlock larger ones). In the end, our group solved our room in 48 minutes. Other groups didnt fare so well. All in all, we had fun and it encourages workers to get along with each other quite effortlessly. I would highly recommend this establishment for team building.
Great choice for my 12 year old daughters birthday party! We chose the Mona Lisa adventure and the girls had a blast. I booked the party over the phone. The host Renata was very pleasant and professional taking the time explaining different options and helping adjust the experience to the age of the girls.
Fun time for friends or work event. The puzzles are clever and it was fun. We went with 10 people split across 2 rooms so completion times can vary.
We did the Express puzzle with a group of 4 and had a great time! Puzzles had the right balance of challenge while still being accessible, and this room had a lot of cool puzzles that were well executed. Also really enjoyed the theme. Well be back to try the other rooms!Edit: Weve now done several rooms here and its been a great experience every time!
Ive done Express, Mona Lisa Heist, and Ex Machine. All of them were great. I strongly recommend Ex Machine. Looking forward to new escape rooms!
Easy to book for our team at work. I did the Ex Machine. Had a ton of fun. As an escape room first timer I felt everything was great.
Never participated in an escape room challenge before. We did the Mona Lisa room and had a great time trying to solve the puzzles. I was hoping it would be a difficult challenge and I wasn’t disappointed. The host Alex was super friendly and assisted a couple of times to help us think outside the box. Will definitely return to try another room!
It was an amazing experience. My son and his friends were still talking about it days after it was finished. They went through the ex_machine experience and I believed he used the word genius to describe how well it was done. He said it was challenging but they were able to solve it with 5 minutes to spare.
This was our groups second time to the Conundroom Real Escape Room. We used their VR technology. All of the multiplayer games are so much fun. Everyone cant wait to go back! Thank you Conundroom for providing such a fun and unique experience.
We had my sons 11th birthday party here. My son and his friends did the Mona Lisa escape room and had an amazing time. I would highly recommend it. After they finished the escape room, they went to Odyssey Virtual Reality and played VR games had pizza and cake and had a great time. I would highly recommend both of these venues for a birthday party (they are both owned by the same company).
Weve finished all their rooms. Their School of Magic room has similarities to one of Quest Factor rooms and the Ex Machine was a bit finicky but their other rooms were quite good!
It was a little confusing at the start as we had no idea what to do. We used up our clues before the last puzzle and so we failed in stealing the Mona Lisa. But we had a lot of fun! It stretched our minds, made us think outside the box and made us work as a team. We will definitely do this again! After sharing our experience with the leader of our 55+ church group, we are making plans to do this. This time Ill be more ready for the challenge!
WOW. THAT WAS INTENSE. Went in a group of 8 for the Ex Machine game. It was a little slow start and we had to use our first clue within 3 minutes, but after that the rest seemed pretty straightforward. Lots of different puzzles and lots of interesting connections between different puzzles to find the answers. It was a real brain twister of a night. The story arch was cool and the closer you got to the time limit the more intense the story got. Well worth the price and so engaging I cant wait to do another one!
We did this as a group event at work and the pricing was great, the rooms were very well designed and the team building went better than expected! Puzzles are a lot harder than I expected but the staff was there to point in the right directions when we got too stuck!
Great team-building experience for family. We had great time solving the puzzles. The guide was very helpful and nice. Highly recommend for small team or family fun event!
