Neat place to see. Would be nicer without the graffiti.

I have lived in the area my whole life and this was the first time I have ever been. The only complaint I have is there should be a better way of showing where exactly to go to find it. Other than that it was a great place to hike to. Will be going back.

Fun place to see. It was littered and had graffiti, but was an interesting structural design.

Really liked it. Went the day before and had to go back the next day and will be going more. I wanted to do the long tail but I got turned around at witches hat. The trail was well marked wear I started but when I got to the witches hat it got vague. I looked at the map and I think I figured wear I made my miss turn. Lots of things to see. Cool rocks to climb on a lot more stable then the ones at peace rock . I didnt sea any restrooms. Went to one of the abandoned quarries and saw a fox. I cant wait to go back and check out the other things. Their were people mountain bicycling. The trail connects to the S.R.T.

Part of the Neversink Mtn trail system this handmade rock structure doesn’t disappoint in terms of its presence and stance as it’s peaked. Unfortunately power lines cloud view of Mt Penn/Reading view and the landscape of Pagoda and Fire tower skyline drive. Is a worthy structure to visit and has great patina. I would say a definite must see for Berks County.

Tried to hike up but had to turn around because the terrain was challenging and steep ( ok I’m out of shape) but the most annoying thing for me was the mosquitoes it was unbearable having them land on my shoulders and face and I was swatting with every step. Bug spray did not keep them at bay they were relentless and aggressive. I literally ran full speed back to the car. Not fun at all!

I can see why it was built. However, there is no good parking area, NO SIGNS at all. I ended up walking the maintenance road and googled to find I had to turn right around a power tower. When I finally arrived the view would have be spectacular except for a cell/power tower and lines smack dab in the middle of the view! Humans ruin mother natures beauty again!

I took the really long trail. The trails where EXTREMELY steep. I brought my dog. I lived in the area for 3 years now. My friend told me about it. I will be going back to see if the shorter path is less steep.

This is a great hike, full of history. Its a little difficult to find if youre not sure where youre going. We went there longest, most difficult way only to find the easy trail afterwards. Wouldnt suggest going at night, seems like a spot kids like to go to drink and do whatever. You can see The Witches Hat on the top of Neversink Mt. If youre at the Pagoda and looking out towards the city it will be visible on the mountain to your left. Its pretty easy to pick out with its pointy roof. Definitely worth the trek. Great views from the top.

Very cool place to hike to and see some amazing views around the county that you dont normally get to see. I will say that the up keep around the actual Witches Hat isnt the best. Could use a good pressure washing and a some other general maintenance. But while there enjoy the views.

This place caught my imagination when I read about it online. Dont try to GPS it though We followed directions up a very steep, narrow switchback type road only to get to the top where we were greeted by a no trespassing sign and no directions or sign pointing to the witchs hat. Very dangerous road. Very disappointing

I used to come here as a teen to hang out with my friends. We would party all night long with no problem with the police. We could park as long as needed. Now theres no parking signs up and the lot is filled in.You can still get up to see it but you cant park there. Im so disappointed in how things have turned out for this historic pavilion. 35yrs and snot nosed kids have ruined this beautiful place.

Took a hike up here in the snowstorm today. This has long been one of my absolute favorite places in Berks County!! The trails on Neversink Mountain are wonderful, passing by cliffs, Hawks, RR tracks and remnants of a bygone era, and views of Reading/suburbs and the Schuylkill River. There is even a nice place for rappelling and a little top-rope climbing! In short, this is a little known/utilized Gem right in Readings back yard. Check it out!!

Took 4 year old... So this was a perfect short hike for a kid whos prone to randomly saying I wanna go home when were in the middle of something. Google maps will guide you to the perfect parking spot to park. Just dont block the gate. After the hat, we tried to find a nearby geocache but wound up at a large radio antenna at the top of the mountain. Whole thing took about 2 hours. I think you can climb the cliff visible from gate but I wasnt trying with him...

An interesting landmark, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. If you hike the trails to get there, I recommend taking a map with you. What appears to be the most logical exit takes you to a dead-end at the radio tower, which means backtracking.
