Great place for a walk and family time. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of benches to stop along the way to take a break and drink in the beauty of mother nature. Also, stop in at the museum gift shop for interesting one of a kind gifts or something for oneself and if you choose you can take a stroll upstairs (for a price) to view the past and current showing. Oh almost forgot the planatarium....awesome astrological showings.

This lovely area could easily be called the Crown Jewel of Berks County. Within its confines can be found an amazing museum, a first rate planetarium, beautiful gardens of all seasons, an arboretum, sculpture garden, and fishing creek. Its one of the few places I know of where a family can experience an entire day of fun and learning surrounded by the immense diversity of natures own instruction. If you love all things beautiful and enlightening, you owe it to yourself, family, and friends to come and enjoy this finely polished gem.If that doesnt interest you, this site is one of the best places in Berks County to enjoy Pokemon Go or Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

We had a good time walking the trails and looking for hidden painted rocks. One of my daughters actual found one in a tree. She was so happy. There is a vast variety of flowers, trees and shrubs as well as a lot of very cool sculptures to see along the trails. There are also plenty and benches along the trail in case you want to take a break or just sit and take in the beauty all around.

The Reading Museum has many fascinating exhibits BUT it used to be a better museum. No more Degas pastels, for instance, that they used to display. And the great gem collection has been missing for years: where are they? Better not get rid of the F. Church oil or the N.C. Wyeth (among other great artists) or it will be simply just a beautiful building. Also, place the rope barriers further from the taxidermy exhibits: too easy for people to mess with them (and they will)....

We absolutely love this Museum! We have taken our grandkids to the Dinosaur Exhibit (last year) as well as the Aliens and Androids Exhibit recently. Also the grounds at the Museum are very well maintained. We arrived a little early to the Museum so we walked around on the walking path. They have a lot of well-maintained flowers and trees. Also has a little stream which we saw some ducks. We wish we lived closer to the Museum because we would get a yearly membership so we could take the grandkids more often.

We always have a great time, even if its just to take the kids to walk the trail. We enjoy having our daughter read all the info along the trail about the wildlife that lives around the area. That alone has helped build her confidence in reading aloud. So if your looking for a quite, peaceful stroll down the path or an adventure in the Museum or Planetarium then look no further.

I never thought Reading had such beautiful parks that run through a part of the city. This one is great because you can make your walk a short or long one, depending on how youre feeling. Most people keep their dogs on a lease, but every once in a while some dont so keep a lookout. Otherwise its a great park for family walks.

My daughter and her two friends had a dance party at the Reading Museum last night (Saturday) for their Wilson friends. Everybody had fun, and the Security provided was very cooperative and excellent. Only issue, if the party room doors were closed, it got to be too warm inside, therefore - they should be kept open if possible. It had a little stage for the DJ and a wooden dance floor already provided that made things very easy for setup. We were allowed to bring snacks and drinks, and everybody had a great time! Thank You Reading Museum!!!

We did the mini golf with the museum... Though I think that should have considered a 1 price admission as opposed to it being a price for playing and getting in, because you couldnt play without getting in duh, it would have made dinner people not happy... And I get it... Its too get people to see the exhibitions... Never disappointed with the museum... Just done off the people decisions...

I took my 6 month old puppy Riley for the first time to walk at the museum. I loved that parts of the walking trail has been remacademed. I enjoy the new benches, the flower gardens, and listening to the babbling creek. Its such a peaceful place to walk or just go to unwind and sit and read. Everyone was so friendly we met on the walking trail. I just WISHED there was a restroom available at 5:30pm. I give a hugh thanks to all whom keep the museum property so nice and clean. This is a nice place to go with a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. In the past I have gone there on a daily basis to walk and play Pokemon. I stopped going there and now spend my time in a different park. The problem is, they do not have a restroom outside. They do however have a restroom inside the museum but will not let people use it unless you pay for admission to the museum. This is a park with a very high volume of people on a daily basis. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that they do not offer families a public restroom. I have talked to several people that share my opinion.
