Took a quick backpacking trip up Deerfield trail. Such a great decision. The trail is visible at all times and you walk across a small creek. Theres a high elevation climb in the beginning but nothing a moderate hiker cant do, without a 30 pound pack. If you have a day to get out and free your mind, head to this trail. It ends at Pactola and you can swim after sweating all day before heading back the 3.5 miles.
Great trail! The options are wide open with scenery, length and hard v. easy trails.
Its a great trail but when you start it make sure you stay on the deer field trail. If you continue on to the centennial trail its not as nice. You dont get the views thats the deer field trail offers. I didnt go to far but it was better than the centennial trail.
Great place to camp and hike
This is a 23.5 mile trail and is not for a beginner. Plan to start this hike at days earliest light. This will give you a chance to explore the trail and take photographs. Remember to bring enough water, altitude tends to suck you dry
Beautiful views, moderate to difficult. Saw some moose believe it or not, or was amazing!
Can be a brutal trail many Creek crossings all the way to dear lake loop awesome trail
