Great history tour! Authentic printing presses that really help you to appreciate how far we’ve come technologically in the past few hundred years! From the Bible to book or Mormon to 1900’s printing presses, well worth your time!
A great, local museum. If you ask for a tour they will be flexible. This is one of the most unique museums you can experience. They will demonstrate original printing on a working gutenberg press to print a page of the bible! Also theyll actually melt and make type which is fun to see.
Ive been to the museum twice and each time Ive learned something new! It was a fascinating experience to learn about the history of printing and being able to see how things worked since the beginning. Definitely worth going to see!!
I love this historic tour and learning about printing through the years. I especially love the Gutenberg press. Ive come 3-4 times and have enjoyed it immensely each time.
Just walked in to look around. A docent came and gave us a wonderful tour. Fascinating. Loved it. I had no idea there was so much history around printing and the printing of the Book of Mormon.
You really need to see this place! Printing change the world in so many ways! This tour showed me and up close gave me the ability to appreciate the changes and Technology that was introduced step by step into the printing
My husband and I were walking down Center street one night and met Lou Crandall, owner of the museum. This incredible man and his little dog took us on a personal sneak-peak tour. We had the best time, and a week later, we still cant stop talking about it. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, we will definitely be back for a full tour!
Impressive story-telling and beautiful visuals of the printing press. Also, the host is super nice and funny!
The museum is great, especially if you go on a tour. They have interactive experiences and you can help print actual papers, handle the type, and touch history. The tour guide was super funny and had a really good time talking about the exhibits. If you like history (especially interactive exhibits) and are in the Provo area, its a must.
Not only was our family visit everything we could have ever wanted and more, it was a spiritually uplifting experience. As soon as you meet Mr. Crandall, he adopts you. You become his friend, his ally, his confidant. He loves you, and you, of necessity, love him back. His museum is legendary. His tour guiding skills, unmatched. We werent only guided, we were brought to experience the history of printing. The section on the Book of Mormon had our family fighting back tears.Recommend, recommend, recommend. Impossible to say too much about the quality of the museum and its founder. When youre in town, visit.
So glad we went! We learned a lot about printing and were very satisfied with the experience. The tour guides are knowledgeable and obviously care about the subject. We decided were taking my family there soon. Worth the $5 and more!
A great place to learn about the history of printing! Would recommend foe audiences of all ages!!!
Fantastic museum with guided tours and working Gutenburg press.
I really enjoy the museum how knowledgeable was the staff and how the tour is told in a story way and we get to try the printibg as well. Highly recommend.
I feel like they have the spirit of Colonial Williamsburg at this museum: storytellers who transport you to a secondary world. The tour-guide played the part of printer; he enchanted my children ages 6, 8, 10, 12, and fifteen of my middle school boys yesterday. Im going to have to bring the scouts to see this tour. The story of Gutenberg going bankrupt gives me chills every time.
This place is super cool! I didnt even know it existed until I did a commercial there. It blends right in with the neighborhood, but they have an actual gutenberg press there for demonstrations. Its huge.
Cool stuff. A working Guttenberg printing press that theyll show you how to use. Also discussed the history and showed the processes behind the printing of the original Book of Mormon.
The elderly men who direct the tours are so cute and just want to share all the information they can with you! They have a great collection.
This is a fantastic family experience; we learned a tremendous amount about printing through this guided tour. So glad we went!
This place is cool! A great museum to visit and learn history of the LDS Church and Utah.
Very interesting to learn the history of printing and remember the importance of freedom of the press.
