I ended up at this park because I got a flat tire on my way to work and this was a convenient place to fix it. There were some cute ladies with some cute dogs.
Looks like a great park but I didnt see a bathroom from where I was standing and these places In this city lock up due to covidHoax an late night. I give it two stars instead of one because they allow the shelter less people to stay on the one side an that is mighty kind of the folks of Portland to accommodate those who are less fortunate or live a less flashy lifestyle. In fact Ill change it to 3. Open The restrooms at your parks you get 5 star. #WeAreAllInThisTogether that includes people who need to pee an poop and wash up.
Nice big park. Plenty room for dog or cats to run around. Kids to play on swings slides teadataarter.
Very good park for baseball, kickball, weed smoking and van life viewing
This park was beautiful your dog would love it, if youre one of those people that walk your cat to your cat will love it.A bunch of places that you can take your girlfriend to or your boyfriend too and have a picnic. Theres some playgrounds there that you can let your kids play on.Theres a plenty of Pokemon stops in Pokemon around if you want to play Pokemon while youre there.I hope you enjoy yourself while youre there. Please if you would follow me or like my review it would really help me cuz Im trying to move up with my Google badges. It will also encourage me to do more used go to other places to try other things.
This is a very small, pretty park with open grass for picnicking or playing catch with your dog. Basketball court and a kids play set. Also bathrooms!
Very nice and chill park, with basketball court.
Great little off leash area for dogs; basketball courts, seating areas around perimeter. Love this park.
A nice place to be
Great little park, we stopped for a picnic and to set up a slackline. There was a group of kids playing cricket in the middle of the field by the parking lot and a number of other people walking dogs around the park. Nice easy spot to get to.
Wonderful space to gather. Everyone could hear.
Ive lived near this park for a long time now and gone to it science I was little. It has a great dog park and a basket ball court and a playground. I also learned to ride my bike there
Great Park most people use it for their dogs also next to SEI student enhancement Center. Id give this park a five and I wont reason being Ive never seen the restrooms open its wasted taxpayers $ just saying.
Wonderful park, beautiful grass.
The lights kept turning off and on while it was dark, and the playground is fairly small.
Off-leash Park great for the puppies to meet up with their friends. Definitely need to unlock the bathroom and a garbage can
This is a basic small city park. Has a grassy area, a kids playground structure, and a ball field.Best for those local residents who live closer to this park than others.
I grew up in this playing in this Park. In 1953, I was born 1808 N Vancouver. When built the I-5 freeway, my parents bought a home where the Park is. When they decided to build a Park in honor if a local African American Doctor (Dr Denorval Unthank), my Parents bought a house right across the street. I grew up watching them build the Park and played in the park for many years with my friends. I have since enjoyed attending numerous events in the Park every summer. This park is right in the heart of what was known for 50 years as the Black Community.
Good place to walk your dog and safe community, people are nice
Great neighborhood park. Basketball courts, playground, baseball field, good for friendly dogs. Small, but family friendly. They could upgrade bathrooms tho.We take our small dog here every day .
Great park for dogs or a picnic, watch out for the tweakers on the beach though
A great place to bring a dog!
Its alright. It just sucks cause i have a dog and he is a professional ball player. The park ranger informed its that we can not have our dogs off the leash.
Great small park for young kids, lots of shade for hot days.
Gotta love this old school park ... My dog got his lil smell on plenty of space and quiet for pets and kids
Great place
Not the park I grow up to now to many dogs not enough for family and kids. As before when I was a kid. My grandkids cant get the experience I had SAD.
Dont tell anyone but lots of dogs run free here
The park was pretty enthralling! Very scenic as well.
Great neighborhood
Pretty park, off leash dog area. Sometimes the homeless are there with aggressive dogs
Looking for quick fun for small kids. This will suffice
Standard city park here. Nice trees for shade, a large open area, and small play structure make for a nice neighborhood green space. I probably wouldnt go out of my way to come here as there are plenty more parks in Portland that offer a lot more, but if you are in the area or want a reprieve from your work day, it will suffice.Insider tip: If you are at the nearby New Seasons, grab some food and come here for a nice relaxing picnic!
Awesome park. Swings are amazing!
Really nice place to be on a summer day
Nice park and basketball court
A great place to hang out since I was a child and even better place now with SEI and concerts available on demand
My dog loves this park. There are usually lots of great pups here too. Pretty well kept.
Good place to take dogs
This is a review for 5Q, not the park thats a few blocks west of it.Ive always loved this place. Before I became vegetarian, I thought their 5Q burger was the best in Portland (especially back when it had feta). Now, I love the mushroom-based burgery thingy (and I dont even like mushrooms). 5Qs always been the best hangout for a post-practice drink with bandmates or for an afternoon of grading.
Its a park, parks are cool
The SEI event was lit
Its a great park for dogs, and families, especially kids learning to ride bikes. Has a baseball field and small playground. Excellent basketball court.
The music was incredible and the featured band Lake Side still got it going on...
SEI had Ann event at the park today. Great location. Friendly people at the park. Lotsof open space and shade.
This park is dedicated to a true hero in the history of Portland. Dr. Denorval Unthank is a hero and should be an inspiration to us all.
Great for taking dogs there
Good place to visit when in town
Nice community park. It could use another few picnic tables. Great place for basketball.
Fourth of July in this park is savage af!
It was lit... I had a great time.
Nice Park for all types of gathering, or just sitting on benches and enjoying the door.
I always feel like there is a sense of community when we go to this park, the neighbors stop by and watch the events the children can play and it is just a nice Community Park
It had a ni e breeze
It was a great day... Basketball, lunch, and our little dog loves it! Great place for the whole family!
Great place to practice soccer in the shade.
Fun park, great place to have family functions. Bbqs, Bday parties, family reunions, company picnics.
Not a completely safe place
Yall gonna [un]thank me 4 recommending dis here park yall
Because its in nature most of Portland is in nature
Great place to go for a walk
We love our small neighborhood park
When its sunny out, so fun to play with the dog here!
It was clean, lots of laughter and a great place to go.

Awesome
Quite park
It’s nothing special
Nice
Open and clean park. Dogs here often.
Awesome
Nice neighborhood park but the facilities are locked year round and the drinking fountain is broke.
Awesome place to park & sleep when youre living in your car – since thats the only way I could afford to live in Portland for a time. The bathrooms are open irregularly, but maintained well.
