Unfortunately they are not serving any beer from the brewery during COVID. It was still nice to visit the home of Allagash. You can still buy cans bottles and swag. Some of the other local brewers have Allagash brews on tap.

Their tasting room was not open sadly. However, their beer is so good that it did not matter to me. We ended up getting cans to drink on the go and a four pack. Their employees were super friendly and helpful. She was able to give us recommendations on where to go, as well as a distillery that made whiskey from their beers. You are able to buy the beer and enjoy at the brewery across the street as well.

Allagash White is my favorite beer, so thats a huge head start. The Brewery has great brewery-only specials as well.Theres a food truck on premises that serves Maine food (esp. lobster rolls, obviously). Enjoyed contactless pickup of Allagash beer and then sitting in the parking lot having that food. The beer was enjoyed off-site

Im kind of surprised I didnt already have a review for this place... it is my favorite brewery of all time. It is nearly 4 hours from where I live in CT, but I have now visited 5 or 6 times, way more than any other brewery in CT. Even in COVID they handle everything they do with such class. The beer is out of this world, every employee loves what they do and show it without any effort, and the facility is something to be admired. I would literally drive as a day trip to get one beer from there. All this aside, I would highly recommend Allagash.

Came last year and had a great time! HUGE selection of beers to taste and get on draft! Awesome outdoor area and fun merchandise. Just came again during COVID. Not traditionally open due to this but you are still able to buy beer and some merchandise. And there is a food truck on premises if you want to grab something to eat. Great food but LONG wait- be warned!

So I was lucky enough to meet the sales manager for Allagash in NJ . After hearing Jared tell me what a great company he works for and trying out some of their craft beers I am hooked !!!!! Holy wow is this stuff great and from a company that cares about its employees and donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to different charities I knew this was going to be my forever brew. Ty Allagash for great employees and even better Beer. If you can buy Allagash in your stores please show this company your love. Ed

Im obsessed with allagash white. I had it for the first time at Geddys in bar harbor in February of 2020, chasing the northern light. Since then Ive searched for it not knowing the name or its origin. I visited Dinosaur bbq in Albany and that beer looked familiar. Sure enough, it was that beer Ive been searching for for 8 months. Will be visiting Allagash brewery soon!

I could have stayed in their beer garden for hours.... with the food truck and the lovely atmosphere! Highly recommend the trek out here. Totally worth it! And try a little of everything, even beers you might not think you’d like.

This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Portland. My wife enjoyed it too and she isnt a big fan of beer. The tour was great, led by Meg. After the tour she spent so much time with multiple folks from the group individually in the tasting room. She talked to us about what we like, brought some samples (found one my wife liked!), and even gave us a special drink when she found out it was our anniversary trip. She also took time to recommend other things to do in Portland. Gabe was also great and very friendly in the tasting room. These seem to be some of the most genuine and friendly people Ive ever met. Its obvious they love what they do and want to share that joy with others. Even if youre not staying in this area of Portland, its worth a trip out there. Give yourself time before and after the tour if you decide to book one as youll want to stick around! The tour and the drinks in the tasting room are all reasonably priced. If we lived closer we would be here often!

Allagash makes some of the best beer in America...period. It was a dream of mine to make it up to Portland, ME to get to do their tour, which did not disappoint. Our tour guide was obviously loaded with knowledge regarding everything from company history to how beer is made. Along the tour, we stopped several times to sample different beers, making it even that more pleasant. Come to find out, Allagash has a rich history of encouraging employees to come up with their own recipes, some of which have been bottled and sold along the way.The only disappointment for me is that they no longer make their Four Ale, which is probably my favorite beer ever made. However, after a $5 flight sample at the bar, their Sixteen Counties may be a close second. Tours book up quickly, so if you want to go on one, I highly recommend booking online in advance. But their fridges are stocked full with excellent beers and the two bars (one inside and one outside) have great selections as well.

One of my favorite breweries! There’s a great space that can hold a larger capacity of people and bigger groups. Both indoor and outdoor bars. Great fuse of rustic and modern culture. Really like that it doesn’t smell like a brewery. They have a huge selection of beers to try too! Food trucks are also an option on weekends.

Good option if youre looking for something to do. They offer brewery tours and they have a good variety of beer. A lot of fruity flavors. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is very laid back. And there is plenty of parking. A flight is $4 so its inexpensive. The flight is preselected but They also offer half pours if you want to try a variety.

So happy to finally make it to one of the OGs of the New England craft beer scene. Beautiful facility with a great indoor taproom and equally great outdoor, covered beer garden. One could spend an entire weekend on this street with several other breweries in the neighborhood.

The allagash brewing company is a must check out while in Portland. The tour is engaging and informative without going too deep into the details as to not bore you. Additionally, being able to have tastes of the product along the tour is a nice touch that keeps you engaged the entire time. The beers are brewed with a fine attention to detail that you would come to expect. The inside tasting room is on the small side, but the outdoor patio makes up for this. Overall, if youre in the Portland area, stop in for a tour. You wont be disappointed.

For those who are new or old to brewing, the Allagash tour will no doubt prove to be informative and fun. With four beer tastings mixed in, the hour tour seemed to finish in a blink of an eye, leaving you informed, curious, and a little happy (there are four tastings after all!).In addition, I found that Allagash has a wide range of beers not found in stores, especially their more wild beers (sours, saisons). So if Allagash White isnt your go to, there is a huge variety of options! Absolutely delicious, but do wish they had a wider distribution of these wild beers.
