This is a very quiet and calm Park which a very nice walking trail. There is a ton of seating area and reminded me of a good place for a graduation party. It has a small park, but the open field space makes up for that in full.

My favorite park in Portage. Its never busy even on holidays. There are miles of well kept trails in the adjoining woods. They have a new playground. Ive been coming to this park for 20 years.

Nice quiet park for walking or to take our furbabies out for a run( on leashes). We enjoy just sitting for a few minutes on the bench in the woods. I have taken a book with, even just to relax on the bench in the woods! Kind of distracted by the wonderful sounds of birds, squirrels talking back and forth...and even spotted several deer eating a few yards away. Great place to escape ( we had to stop going in the Summer because of the terrible mosquito swarms)!

It was fine as long as you were on high ground. The lower ground, leading to Bishops bog, was flooded. Entirely too much rain lately.

I used to love this park, but so many off leash aggressive dogs ruined that. It needs a heavier ranger presence and it would be just wonderful again.

Excellent place to read a book and enjoy the park reasonable sized Banquet Hall. Perfect place to walk a dog I dont know if they have disc golfing or not though.

I really like that Schrier park is connected with Bishops bog and Eliason reserve so you can take a long pleasant hike if youd like.

Le
Review №38

Nice paved trail through the woods. You can walk deeper into the woods -- wood chips instead of blacktop -- which is very beautiful with dappled sunlight and ferns. Eventually the trail connects up with a floating boardwalk through Bishops Bog. (Make sure you wear something to keep your feet dry if you want to explore the bog.) In wintertime, Schrier Parks trails are popular for cross country skiing and snow shoeing.

Empty park. Nothing there except an open field. Good for dog walking or any events that need space. There is a center to host parties or other events.

Great place for strolls through a woods. You can take a walk across a floating path in a marsh, but I would not suggest doing it unless you have shoes that are water resistant.
