Family friendly recreation in the middle of the city. Soccer field, base ball diamond, tennis courts, volley ball with sand base, and basketball courts are under reconstruction. There are restrooms and an inviting play structure for younger kiddos.

Its comparatively smaller than Ramona or PCBP, but its still good enough for recreations after work

This park has a playground, tennis courts, a big hill, small wooded trail, pavilion, bathrooms, and a soccer field. My kid thinks this is THE BEST playground in all of Portage. It has the tallest slides. As a parent, its nice because you can sit at the pavilion, grass, or bench and have an eye on your youngling the whole time.Well maintained.

Great location with a baseball diamond and soccer field in the back. Both are smaller than regulation but they get the job done. Nice trails through the park as well.

A very nice park but it is for older children. Signs posted say 5 years and up. I suggest following that rule. It has very steep slides that go to fast for smaller kids. I took my 2 year old there for the first time and I got slide burn on my elbow trying to make sure she didnt get hurt when a sharp turn surprised us. We will come back as soon as she has mastered slides!

I appreciate the fact they keep their bathrooms clean and open. That is very important at a park, since youre bringing children. The play structure is unique with its tall enclosed slides. My son loves it.Theres a soccer field behind, if its not being used in an official capacity, you can bring your ball and practice. The sand volleyball court is periodically being used.Theres a couple basketball courts that we also use.Bring your bug spray cuz theres a nature trail. The grounds themselves are very beautiful.

Convenient location - nice little park if you dont have a lot of time. Our 6 year old is always excited to stop here and go down the taller slides for 15-20 minutes.

I want to keep this park secret for me and my family because it has a bit of everything, sheltered tennis courts, basketball courts soccer fields, a baseball field, nice playground, a great sledding hill, sand volleyball court, and nice trails to walk on.And it seems the majority of people, even in Portage dont know where its at. Please dont bother using Google Maps, Im sure they dont have it on there. /s.Ill tell you where it is, but you have to give me $5 first and sign an agreement never to tell anyone else where its at either. Anyone caught breaking this arrangement will be subject to the wrath of the monster that lives in Austin Lake.Seriously, I hope you just see my star rating on this park and not actually read the review, because I would really like to keep this gem a secret for me and my family.
