It is Great! Portage has so many nice parks and they keep them up nicely. Except one park where, (not sure if it was kids or radicals) but they went into the bathrooms and took a sledge hammer or something and broke the sink off the wall and broke half the porsilin toilet. So the Park and Recreation department will close that park down at last for now. I hope they catch the person or persons who did this and make them do community service and pay for the damage they caused.

I love taking photos of nature and beautiful things, so Pauquette Park was really fun! You can also have a lot of events like graduation parties or family reunions in the party shelters, or even a wedding in the grass by the beautiful pond and fountain. Theres also a park for kids to play on. But Pauquette Park does not allow pets.

Its a great park for the kids!!! Has a kiddie fishing pond and the Wisconsin River a few more steps away. I see people taking their wedding pictures there all the time. Check it out if you havent!!!!

Beautiful park, I visited for a wedding, in the gazebo. We even had the reception there too, in the covered shelter with restrooms. It was the dance floor!

Great community park and what a back story! Theres a history board by the river with all the details. Spoiler alert: Pierre Pauquette was a fur trader, multi-lingual, mixed French and Ho Chunk, brilliant mind for figures and a strong man who could lift horses. Bridal pond is named for the former clay quarry pond on the same site where in 1927 a pair of newlyweds drowned after missing the curve in the road.

The playground is awesome. There are walking paths, a gazebo, and public restroom. BUT... you will get carried away by mosquitoes. They were literally swarming the car when we pulled up. I was getting bitten through my jeans

Beautiful place! There are a few short trails that go to the river, willow trees are so pretty. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous park with plenty to do. Great playground for the kiddos with room to explore and beautiful scenery.

Love to bring my nephew here to play or just walk around and watch the water.

Its a nice, peaceful place to play basketball, fish, let your kids play, hold events (ie. weddings, graduation parties, etc.) and hang out with friends and family.

Great for Pokémon Go in terms of PokéStops, but when we went the bridges were flooded and muddy. Be careful of when you go depending on weather and time of year! Still a lovely place.

My Kids love the Playground here, with the Raft swing, and Rocking Pirate Ship. The Grounds, Pond, and Trail that winds around it are quite lovely, particularly when all the flowers are in bloom. A small park, that packs a lot of Character. Great Place for Pictures to be Taken. Also next to the Wisconsin River, right by where some nice Sandbars consistantly form during the summer months, that you can Easily access right from shore.

Havent been to this park for years as we dont live here anymore. Beautiful, but sure looks different through the eyes of a 70 year old than it does through the eyes of a 16 year old. What great memories.

This place is beautiful, for being next to a very busy road it is still fairly quiet. The playground looked great, the gazebo was nice to sit in for awhile. The fountain next to it was soothing. If u play hpwu there is much to do there. Would be nice for senior pics or wedding pics.

Fortunate to have this in Portage. The city cleans the ice. Nothing beats pond skating!

Very picturesque, alot of space, play equipment is nice. I rate it so highly because of the scenery more than the facilities themselves. This is usually a go to place for most people to go and have family events so if you plan on using it get there early or possibly reserve it if possible.

Keep up good! Could use a few updates, but can have alot of people there.

Beautiful little park for the area. They recently put in all new playground equipment, the basketball courts are well maintained, and there are two shelters for you to take your family to picnic. theres a couple other large part and Portage but this one is a great stop.

This is the quiet park you go to for a picnic, the beautiful park you get married at, not the place you go for playground equipment and sports. A personal favorite.Edit 6/2017: brand new playground equipment makes this park my kids favorite park in town now too! Amazing! Next... Replace that double rimmed basketball hoop with a single;)

Very serene and a good place to eat icecream

Small but pleasant park. Kids had fun playing on the rocking pirate ship. No diaper changing area but otherwise, the view was great and park was clean.

Great place...new play equipment in wood chips........picnic area, pond, & a BEAUTIFUL flower garden taken care of by the local gardening club

Beautiful park. But why isnt there any soda machines or anything? Many people on picnics and walking near there and no drink machines any longer. What park dont have a soda machine?

It was great for my 3 yr old grandson. He screamed all the way back home. He loved the newtoys! Very pleasant experience.

3/24/2019 Snow has melted so kids can use the playground again. Some of the park grounds are under water or too wet to use.

Very beautiful park. Some of the paths were flooded out because of all the rain weve had. The park play area for children was simple but appears well maintained.
