Very beautiful scenery! Would like to know what its like in the summer!

After walking a short ways to the right, the weeds got taller & the path got narrower. Turned around, walked back & went left. A little better but not maintained at all.

Hadnt been here in several years and decided to visit again and disappointed to find the trails have not been maintained in some time. They are extremely overgrown and you could really use a machete to get through the trail. We made it to the river, but could not go any further. Used to see people fishing here and could hike here for some distance along and near the river, but this is no longer possible.

FAILURE TO MAINTAIN ANYTHING IN PARKS,THATS NOT WITHIN A MILE OF CITY HALL,JUST PICK AN AREA,RIVERWALK IS A JOKE, ARE U WAIT ING FOR THE BUILDING TO FALL INTO LAKE,BEFORE U POLITICIANS DO ANYTHING,OR ISNT ANY GLAMOUR 4 U 2 GET UR PICS TAKEN BRAGGING OF WHAT UV DID 4 US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deer Trail park is my secret place for taking portraits in nature. Theres pretty much never anyone else back there and theres a huge variety of bent and taken trees that can be climbed or used to take a cool photo.

Lovely area to walk. Trail extends quite far into a wooded area.

I couldnt see where the entrance was because it was so overgrown. Disappointed

Only reason I didnt rate a one is because Im big on nature. However I didnt love it, and didnt hate it besides when I realized my toddlers got some poison ivy effects. The trail doesnt seem well maintained. We didnt even step off the path. I expected a little more

Paths are over grown. Need to be cut back!

Portage parks dept has failed to maintain the garbage cans. The trails are overgrown and there is no place to fish from the banks

Nice little hidden gem - good for a short hike and beautiful in spring.

Nice. Bring a bag to collect some of the trash. And a chainsaw if you have one.
