Good trails for an easy hike or easy trail running. Tree here are a few small hills that you could make a lot out of for some repeats.

The path is rough going on a wet day... or after a rain since only a portion is paved. If there was a heavy layer of mulch scattered, it wouldnt be a soggy and muddy. Otherwise, its a nice, quiet path.

This is a beautiful park with natural Trails route. I always seem to get lost in here, the trails wine back and forth, but its a beautiful place to visit. It has nice flowers in the spring. Only be careful if its recently rain because the trails get extremely sloppy and very slick, which can be dangerous.

A great mixture of technical single track and flat, mulched wide trail. Fun place to run, though a little small - only a few miles and youre done.

Mathers is an amazing sight. There is a few gazebos with built in grills for you to do some grilling while relaxing with some friends. The park district does a great job of keeping mathers clean.

Needs a little more work, but close to home . The surrounding neighbors sometimes tend to extend their properties well into the park . Not sure why .

I love to hike and have been to a lot of places here and in Indiana, this was a nope!!! So we were looking for someplace new, and drove by and decided to stop.Pros - a nice 2 mile hike with a lot of paths to venture onsaw a turtle in the riverCons - snakes on the path (I get it its nature) while heading back to the car we came across a 3 foot snake in the middle of the path we had to backtrack and find another path, worst part is they blend so well into the mulch came across a baby snake aggressive tried to snap at us while we walked past.again I get its nature and I am going to come across this, just giving a review for others to be aware!!

Beautiful park for a good 2 mile walk near the DuPage river. watch for wildlife as there are coyotes and other wildlife that tend to hang by the river. some creeks and stagnant water so watch out for mosquitoes

Great pace for single track riding. Nothing too crazy here, but there is a cool spot in the middle with some big drops and a few stump jumpers. If I am using that term right. It was very overgrown with lots of downed trees. I called up the Plainfield Park District and had it cleaned up inside 2 weeks. All the downed trees across the trail were removed making the main trail flow much better. Even some more obscure single track trails were cleaned up. Such a great place for a family ride through woods or some mountain biking!. Not enough down tracks hill though. Lots of steep ups that would be better as downs. Lol

Mather woods has a bit of something for every nature lover. There is a nice little parking lot with plenty of space. There are 2 picnic pavilians with grills, picnic tables, and garbage cans. Bathrooms are near the park district pole barn. The main trail that goes between the pavilians and parking lot is paved. Great for running or riding a road bike. There are 3 different official access points to the trail system from the parking lot entrance. The trails are in good condition with varying levels of difficulty. Great for running or biking. One part of the trail exits onto the pond path in creekside crossing. There are even a few geocache caches hidden around. Overall a fantastic park and a great place to get some excercise or spend quality time with your kids.
