Its so important to keep the history of our neighborhood and our country alive. Very thankful to the people who volunteer and give their time to keep these historic places open for us
I have visited often, especially since I lived in Nathaniel Drakes brothers house, Joseph Drake at 746 Sampton Ave. South Plainfield for many years. This particular museum/home has so much history in it. Washington slept here, however, not known to many, he drank and had meetings with other ranking officers at my home which was build in 1762.
I love history and there is alot of information that Nancy gave us
Definitely worth a visit. You can really tell the volunteers working here are all very passionate about what they do. Parking is very easy as they have their own lot on the property.
Great program on the history of Suffrage in NJ.
Timeless taste of a more prosperous and kinder time
Wonderful and lively place, excellent volunteers. A knowledgeable and passionate staff with a variety of programs.
