Beautiful park right in the middle of the hustle and bustle.Stepping inside gives you a place to get away from the noise of the city as the sound of the fountain drowns out the streets surrounding it.Its quite peaceful, even at night.

My favorite park in Pittsburgh. It went through a thorough renovation several years ago and only changed for the better. With the atmosphere and farmers market vendors, reminds me of Union Square Park in NY.

Worst parking garage in the city. Super tight spots. Dangerous turns going up and coming down. AVOID.

Very pretty little park in an unexpected space!

I like this park because there is plenty of seating and you can see a lot of the city from it. It is closed in the winter. Steps away from the Starbucks in the William Penn Hotel. Not far from like 5 other Starbucks locations. Close to Burlington, the largest clothing store in the city. Also nearby Steel City Tees, one of the coolest clothing stores in the city.

Back when I was young kid I used to go there because that have free concerts and all kinds of stuff but its changed quite a bit but its still a nice place to get out from the crowd

Decent garage, can fit larger vehicles than most downtown garages

Beautiful place to sit and eat lunch or just relax and read. Tons of sitting room and some tables during lunch. During the summer time there are food tents set up on Fridays if youre interested in some unique food.

We are from Chicagoland and just stopped by to rest on our exploration of downtown Pittsburgh. It was a nice quiet small place which other people also enjoyed. Nothing special but a nice urban retreat.

Not only is the scenery beautiful but this place is the hub for musical entertainment in the summer months and outdoor vendors lounge farmers market heading into the fall.

Peaceful on most afternoons. Great place to share a brown bag lunch hour with friends!

This spot is beautiful in the warm weather when the fountains are going. Nice place to sit for a bit, eat lunch, and just relax while downtown. Gets a bit crowded during lunchtime. Worth checking out though.

Even on a drab and dreary October day it was still very pretty and quaint. A nice respite from the brick and concrete of the city.

Like almost everything in Pittsburgh Mellon square is a small jewel in the center of the town. The fact that is on top of a parking garage makes it even more interesting. The best time to go here is spring summer when the fountains are on. Love it!

Always a lovely place to visit for a short walk inside the park and enjoy the water fountain. They have small tables where people come to eat their lunch. During summer, they have a farmers market which is decent but is small. The place is neat and a best place for short walk.

I am the security guard at Mellon Square. Would like to see more then just one shift for us cause i am getting comolsints from 7 to 10 of the regulars who walk their dogs at the park. They claim they drug activity snd homeless are out if contril when is guards are not there. I know the police are unable to patrol it all the time when we are not there

I dont know if its the same as it was in the 90s... But if it is it gets very strange here very late at night

Theres a lot of activities available for tourists down here. Relatively easy to navigate and always road parking with parking garages abundant. Surrounded by extraordinary restaurants.

I used to walk down here when I would get off work. Now that theyve refine the place, its such a nice peaceful area to just breath.

The city of Pittsburg is pretty, but parking is also a joke. Nothing on Sundays to do around there.

I went there to charge my phone in the secret outdoor outlet in the dog run area. The fountain is nice to look at but unfortunately if you arent a fan of drug addicts, this is not the spot for you. I dont say that lightly either, because I have BEEN a drug addict. I have bought drugs here, sold drugs here, and slept here. For being in the middle of town the area is pretty seedy. Just saying.

Good parking spot

Its a small park, but a nice peaceful reprieve from the bustling city. With a gorgeous fountain and lots of plants and granite, this place is great to drink your iced coffee to go and catch up on some emails before heading to your next destination. Clean and well kept too. Theres even a water fountain!

Good food

This is a quaint park in the heart of the cultural district. Often, when the weather is nice, there will be live performers here. There tend to be a handful of homeless people here which takes away from the ambiance a bit, but I guess that can be expected with most parks inside of a city.
