Kids love the blue slides. This is one of the plastic ones, not the big concrete one on the hillside that you need to have cardboard for to slide down.Theres also a hill great for sledding down nearly onto one of the trails, and a giant sloping meadow where I used to launch model rockets. The ones I never found still lay somewhere in the surrounding woods. For me this park is a special place where some the best memories I have were made over the past 40+ years. So visit, and make some of your own!
Called Crazy Park by one and all. Weve been there often but today we are at the dog park. My great-granddog needed some space to run and play. This area is huge. We love it. More importantly, Ms. Hershey loves it, especially when there are other dogs to play with.
Well, its a playgrounds, so I asked my child what he thought. His words I liked it, thats why I want to go back.My feedback, its a big playground with looks if things for all kids up to early teens age. Its a good playground and if the kids love it, then its golden
I visited because of Mac miller and it felt so surreal. Loved it so much. It is super clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend visiting if you have the chance
Always good food. Good prices. Fast service. They have outdoor seating!
My kids love these playgrounds. From the smallest kids to the older kids) plus that slide with cardboard is awesome
An awesome little park here in the city. Bring cardboard for the blue side though. Youll appreciate using it
I love this part of the park. Easy to find a spot to sit down and relax, and the paths seems to allow for more conscientious distancing.
This is an awesome playground. My daughter loves to go here. They also have a walk way down from the playground you can walk your dogs on, or just to go for a nice walk. They have a basketball court, and a baseball field around the park also. Just a very cool place to go.
This is a great park in a Squirrel Hill. Lots of playgrounds, for all age groups. Theyre built right into the hillsides which makes it more fun. Bridges, tunnels and pathways. Lots of shade trees, benches and tables. Up the hill are basketball courts, a baseball field and bathrooms. The Riverview Trail leaves this person of the park to go into the interior. Lots of fields and areas to play and have picnics. A great place to hangout or exercise.
Clean, friendly people, nice neighborhood. Big blue slide is even fun for adults- you go down faster than you think.
One of the best kids’ parks in the city. Lots of fun to be had on the famous blue slide, jungle gyms, swings, cable climb, and tunnels. My kids always want to stop here and kill some time, and we always end up staying much longer than intended. In the warmer months, you can have a walk in Frick Park, bring a picnic lunch to be had in the nearby lawn area, and play till the kids drop on the playground.
This is one of the better parks in Pittsburgh, but some of the equipment is broken on the playground. Its a nice place to walk your dog and the ground slide you can go down on a piece of cardboard is cool but I notice a lot of fighting between children to use it. I prefer super playground at Highland Park over this park because parents are more likely to look after their kids and the people are generally nicer than in squirrel Hill area
A beautiful and well-maintained park. One of the best in the city.
Kids loved it! Bring cardboard for a better sliding experience
Fun for the children playing and the adults cheering them on.
RIP MAC MILLER MUCH LOVE!!! BEST PLAYGROUND IN THE BURGH!!!
This is one of the best entrances for Frick park which leads to very peaceful and serene hiking trails.
My grand babies always has fun here!!!!
This is one of my favorite playgrounds in Pittsburgh. My kids have been enjoying it since they were toddlers and they are now teenagers and still enjoy it. There are picnic tables and hiking easily accessible. Parking is available in the street or with a small lot near the field.
It was very nice, but I was sad that the Mac Miller memorial wasnt there
I love this playground. Nice big play area for the kids with nice walking trails to get some fresh air.
Its a favorite for families and people of all ages. In addition to the playground equipment youll find benches and trails to relax alone or with friends.
R.I.P. Mac MillerThis place will forever be where I’ll go to be by my own with my thoughts
Cool place. ..
A lot of memories of visiting blue slide park with my family and sliding down it with wax paper and cardboard . fun times
Frick Park is always great!
Fave place to play!
Always a lovely place to visit. Beautiful walking trails and lovely well maintained playground equipment.
Saw it on a Daniel Tigers Neighborhood neighbor feature and had to take my 5 year old to play there the next time we were in PGH. Nice playground in a nice park. Showing a little wear but thats to be expected at a park like this.
Slide couldnt have been bluer
My kids age 2-10 couldnt get enough of the big slide! Despite having some very very strong wind. We stayed for 2 hours. It was surprise to see even teenagers finding something fun to do in public park.I would like for them to install a large trash bin for the cardboard, visitors bring to the park (for the big slide)... Cardboard got blown everywhere, neighbors cant be to happy to have cardboard end up in yards everyday. We were there during softball game. We had snack bar and bathrooms available. Big !
Has an awesome slide to use cardboard on!
Its big and clean
Got to stop by and see it a really nice place we were in for the mac miller circles album gallery they had a decided to stop by
Always great.
This park offers a walking trail and playground equipment. The day we went was kind of rainy but the kids had fun. One section of the playground was cordoned off but there was still other areas to play in.
Love u mac, gone but never forgotten
Lots of fun. much space to hang out and relax, take a little walk.
Always great for the kids (and adults) to get in some great sliding and a good hike through the woods!
Huge park. Very clean. Awesome atmosphere. Well kept. Fantastic, cool playground.
This was our first time visiting. We all enjoyed it. The little ones loved it. It would be great if there was a crate or something to contain the card board.
Nice park. Lots of things for the kids to do. Only complaint is that its so big and its on a hill. Therefore you cant see everything going on at one time
I love this park, great for the kids, several different options for them to have a fun time. Theres a slide that is blue built inside a hill. Grab some cardboard and slide until your heart is content. Really enjoyed this park.
We love that playground especially slide
Nice family park
Very Clean, except for a little bit of Graffiti near the playground equipment.
Great city park with a diverse group of people often hanging out with their kids. Our niece LOVED the famous blue slide.
Rest easy Mac Miller. Your music will live in forever I can’t wait till they rename this park for you! The blue slide will live forever long for never gone!
Took a field trip with a first grade class. Such a nice clean park and plenty of things to do!
R.I.P. Mac Miller. Most dope. You will forever be in my heart. Your music will always play on in my soul.
Great spot to air out the kids, and dont forget the dog.
Wax paper helps the slide go FAST!
My kids loved the big blue slide. We took them here while visiting Pittsburgh, and they had a blast. There is an abundant supply of cardboard for kids, and some daring adults, to use to aid there slide. Fun park, and a nice break from everything.
Could use some updates, but hey.
Great place for the whole family. The kids love the playground. Theres also dirt hiking trails and also cement ones
Really awesome playground.. very large picnic and walking area as well. You could spend hours here
Huge Mac Miller fan. Stopped by there on the way to Ohio and visited around midnight. The park looked very nice and I wish I was seeing it during the day. Made me want to play on the playground really bad.
Blue slime has been around since about 1972 and thats when I started going there when the paint was actually blue all the way around fast slide dangerous but a lot of fun the rest of the playground is protected rather well and theres another playground on the other side of Frick Park great place for the kids great place to take a walk tennis courts right above the blue slide playground
Great for all ages! There is usually cardboard available there but we like to bring our own.
Sometimes I just wanna go. To blue slide park the only place I call home
Beautiful city park (part of Pittsburghs expansive Frick Park) and playground. Surrounded by walking and mountain bike trails, but also has large rolling hills for picnicking, etc. The playground features the almost-famous blue slide, which folks of all ages can slide down with a small piece of cardboard. The playground is also well maintained and clean, and has lots to keep children busy.
Its the perfect place for my grandkids to run wild.
Fun, bring cardboard to go on the cement slide. Tough to watch kids though, they are easily out of sight here. Be ready to stay standing and walking to watch them, unless you are comfortable not sweing them for longer periods of time.
Freshly painted slide. Dont forget your cardboard box to use on the slide
Amazing slide (and park)Aimed for smaller kids.
Park is still closed due to Covid -19
Great place for kids of all ages! We take extra boxes for blue slide and leave them afterward for other kids. In addition to blue slide there is a great playground for kids of all ages. Right next to access to trails in Frick Park. A must see everytime we visit Pittsburgh.
Spent a good amount of time at this Park growing up... Make sure to bring a piece of cardboard or wax paper to really fly down the slide!
Kids have so much fun on the built in slide
Really nice neighborhood park!
There are multiple play areas, a basketball court, ball field, and trails. Its all part of Frick Park. Both my son and I enjoyed playing on the big blue slide as well as the other areas.
This is a perfect to go to meet up with old friends, and meet new friends!
Just ok
Fun for dogs or kids. Smiles everwhere. Everything needs repainted and exersize course needs updated.
Great place to take your children or dog.
Kids loved it. A lot to do!
Great park, fabulous!!
It is a fun park and the kids love the slide but Pittsburgh needs to keep up with the playground better and cut the weeds that are growing.
Lots of memories as a child here.
All the childhood memories a great place to bring your kids and enjoy the day
Well maintained and good equipment for children. Lots of space too.
I love this playground. I travel 2 hours to visit this place, it means a lot to me
My daughter loves it here especially the blue slide!
Very fun playground! RIP Mac my kids loved the blue slide!
