4 Stars because of the abundance of homeless people that hangout in a few of the areas. They are nice enough to us, its just awkward. Beyond that, the park is good. Easy to enjoy skatepark but keep in mind the play grounds and picnic areas are still closed due to covid. Pretty clean overall and a large wide open area with trees and grass for some shade.

This is nice little-known park to bring your family in south Phoenix. Theres the skatepark, grills, pavilions, tables, and lots of green space. Theres plenty of space to play ball and throw frisbees. The bathrooms are usually fairly clean.

Really slick concrete so you should be ready to fall, or be good at powerslides. Ledges of all sizes and shape, loved that about it! Nice quarter pipes on either side of the park

Park was clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the walk and will return.

A+ fairly small but well equipped, well built skatepark for all ages and Ollie levels. Lights go off at 11pm, but there is a small section that is somewhat lit you can still skate at night. Highly recommend

Love this park. Lots of homeless people stay around there and hang out on the benches and Ramada areas but the skate park is fairly kept up with. I’ve been here multiple times with my toddler to watch the kids skate.

Hermoso. Park is a very nice park to take your children to learn and practice skateboarding.

Love the park perfect for my three and one year old. Everyone is always friendly if you dont mind them being stragglers. We go early morning. I had a different experience at night. The park is packed, but theres a good bike that we love. My three year old rides scooter and skateboard at this park.

Its better then what was there before. We all know the last tennis court set up was not going to progress anyones skills. Now thats its actually alot better and kids have an actual set up they can get good with. If you want to learn the basics its a good place to start.

Hermosa skate park is a nice little park to hold birthday parties & family reunions or a nice little picnic. Id recommend this park to anyone who is interested in looking for a park to hangout for the day.

That’s a nice park down the street for me they have four baskets on the basketball courts it’s a nice size if you want to jog around the park or ride your skateboard they have street vendors which is always nice you do have the occasional hobo or street junkie Roman around but the key to themselves and their little group they never bothered me the park is pretty clean and well-kept pretty well lit

It is beautiful and green grass i love they have baseball games and other thing too do with kids.

Great Park to go to

Overall the park is nice. It has ball fields childrens playground area a public pool and the skate park. The skate park is small its not enclosed but its a neat set up with two small sections the ramps are not over 5 feet tall so its not hard and its never busy.

Few homeless hang around. Park all-around pretty clean. The kids area is just alright nothing to exciting. Skate park is re-done, kids seem to use alot.

Ive visited this park a few times and thought it was ok. I usually park near the entrance on Southern Ave. and normally just walk my dog not too far from my car, but this time i walked further in and its a very nice park. Its just close to Southern the grass need a little attention, but further in the park looks very nice

Word of advice: If u absolutely have to use their bathroom, make sure u bring your own toilet tissue.

The recreation center is a very well maintained facility with an excellent staff especially Rochelle Craig.

Perfect for walks, playing with the kids, or watching youth soccer at the fields.

Nice place to have a family outing clean with basketball court swings for the kids and great place to barque they have standing grills with ramanda.

Hermoso Park is okay it just needs a place for more people to cool down then other than just the swimming pools they provide we need like a outside water park where the kids are getting sprayed with water and having fun running around in one general area it just needs a water park little

Great Escape park ever for start up to now you dont have scooters and single lines looking for that single scooter that twist and turn on skateboard your cycle scooter wheels that spanned that have to skateboard blanks like surfing and skating on a pull system

The family and I had a great time. Swings, shaded playground are in good condition. There was a park event going on with a DJ. All around good stuff.

Love this park. I walk my dog here almost every morning. The maintenance man is super nice and the place is great for all.

Who would do this, i went to the bathroom and they locked me inside . They didnt even yell or asked if anyone was in there they just locked it at 9:30pm!!! When the park says it closes at 11pm??? Why are you locking people in! This person that locks and cares for the park needs to get fired!!! FIRED!!!!!! I had to call my husband to find a way to get me out!!! Dont EVER go to this park unless you want to get locked in the bathroom or worst!!!! FIRE THAT MAN THAT LOCKS THE BATHROOMS!!! Irresponsible LAZY GUY!!!

Way better than when i was a teen

A lot of area for either baseball or soccer. The fields are well kept but underutilized. When I have gone there very few people out having picnics or any parties but overall a very nice park.

I grew up playing in this park, my older brother came here to see the Jackson Five.

Biked for 1 hour to meet someone here

This is a decently sized park. Good amount of parking, however I certainly wouldnt leave any valuables in a vehicle as the neighborhood is on the rougher side. They have a swimming pool, basket ball courts, and a baseball diamond.

I think that the grass constantly gets overlooked, the mosquito problem is out of control, I think they should leave the water fountains outside the lock up, (they get locked up, along with the bathrooms at night) they could keep up with the cleanliness of the restrooms and the park grounds. I overall think there slacking in a lot of areas.

Great playground for the kids, I walk my dog everyday. This park offers a public pool with friendly life guards. I recommend visiting Hermoso Park throughout the year. Perfect for family gatherings, bring a grill

Clean park. It has a skate park in courts and even same pool for the summer. We like to go here and grill and let the children swim.

People i know have gone here and its never crowded there either and also there isnt never rude people there. I wish there was a park for scooters and bikes only because it does get in the way of us skateboarders. Happy skateboarding everyone.
