This is our main field for our adult football team. Even when the flood the grass we are still able to make it work. Bathrooms are normally open and clean, covid messed that up tho.

Maryvale Community Center continues to meet the needs of the community! Great resources are available.
Love it it was well set up and the really enjoyed themselves
One can say I am a disgruntled X employee. I worked for the City 15yrs. At this location over 10yrs. I put my heart and soul making this place a safe haven for the people in the Maryvale Community. Somehow management didnt see it as a viable option, cutting programs while not offering the amenities other centers offered. When employed there I fought tooth and nail to keep this facility on par with others in the city. Maybe I rubbed some people the wrong way. On April 1, 2016 I was nearly killed by an hit and run driver blocks from this center. I had just dropped off some kids after a BBall game. NOT one manager came to see me, nor did I recieve any correspondence from said. We were taught to care for the needs of our customers both externally and internally. Somehow that didnt manifest in my case. Almost to the day of my injury I recieved and email from IT stating all my passwords had been terminated. I was termed out of employment per City Policy I was told. City Policy is a funny thing as it is often dictated via of a memo, not approved by the City Manager. When I questioned which policy lead to my termination I was given several excuses. For each excuse given I had names of people that exceed that policy. As an example, we hired a lot of college students that only worked from May to August so the you werent active for 3 months didnt cut it because I too like those students were part time employees. After rounds of excuses I was finally told that Prop 209 (passed that November) mandated that he City clear its rolls of inactive employees. You can read it for your self. Prop 209 only allowed part time employees like myself to occur time off /sick time with pay earning 1 hour for every 30 hours work. Did I mention in 15 years of service I only called in once. Hearsay has it that my manager wanted to get rid of me ever since I refused to sign a document stating that I read the Citys cash handling policy. I did not sign it because I HAD NOT READ IT and my manager did not want to give me the time to do so. That same manager also told me that upper management could be petty about things. After my accident, and after I was termed out. I was told upper management wanted to get rid of me. So I guess they were blessed when I was left for dead at the corner of 51st Ave and Camelback the victim of a hit and run motorcycle accident.Sorry I had to vent
This is an excellent community center run by the City of Phoenix. Modern design that lets in lots of light makes for a fun and bright experience. In addition, there is a great library branch next door.
Visited last year and we were very impressed. Rona gave us great insight on what the facility has to offer. She was extremely knowledgeable and patience. The staff was great and building clean. When we come back to visit, well definitely be stopping back in. Great job Rona!!
It has a basketball court and its really cheap to get into it
They have lots of programs for kids, great community center!
Great place to hanging out, for young and old. A great place for all ages to shake off the boredom.I was actually trying to review Maryvale Park. However, I was not able to separate the community center, I previously had reviewed and the Palo Verde Branch Library. The library, community center and the park are all adjacent from one another. The information on the website is not updated and may be incorrect, in relation to the park. Still impressed with the community center. This area has a public swimming pool as well.
I go here weekly with my kids. I have my kids enrolled in different programs and they have Story Time on certain days.
Not going there again .bad area
Way too many homeless people here panhandling and also too many people soliciting. This place has gone downhill with the last 10 years.
Public Library is walking distance and plenty of parking.
Very nice facility!
Fun and lots to do
Decent overall a very fun place to be.
Im rating this community center a 2 because i went to register my child for ballet and the ladies didnt even explain the days and times to me and also what my child will needed for the first day
Great place for the kids in the community plenty of activities to choose from for all ages. Next door is the library, a park
This place is special to me cause I got to meet such special people that youll go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
Decent weight room. Has a small indoor walking track. Needs aerobics, Zumba, weight training classes for senior adults.
Was a simple job fair
Affordable place for youth recreation classes. Location and safety is my only concern with this recreation place.
This place has many resource inside and out. All you have to do is ask. Many resources outside the center are able to come together to serve different communities. Check it out...
I have been calling for over 3 hours trying to reach somebody & get the same automated voicemail, that they close till 9PM Monday - Thursday which makes total sense since no one can answer.
Nice place to exercise.

Staff is not friendly. They never greet people who pass by. Never have smiles on their faces. Cant tell apart managers from staff. Only difference is is that they are old, like in their 50s or something.
