The Orpheum Theater is the place to go if youre looking for a different type of experience. Ive been here before for the plays and ghost tour. On October 25th,2020 I went to watch the Wizard of Oz on the big screen. The surround sound speaker system they put in place was simply amazing! Mix that with the crushed velvet seats, the curtain opening upon the start of the presentation, and the ceiling which looks like the night sky and you have an experience that I have not experienced anywhere else in Arizona. I want/plan to go again this year to see another movie.

Went to ABBA Mania performance. Ticket staff were friendly, ushers friendly. Tickets in balcony, so asked usher lady if I could get onto the floor closer to performance, as my friend and I dressed the part and were lively dancers. And she acquiesced, as long as I stayed in the empty seats area. After show, discovered Id left my wallet by seat, and they let us back in and found it --it was still there, no thieving! Grateful. Nice theater. Had a bar, but cant tip on credit (must tip with cash).

Great movies on a new innovated system. Had Edward Sizzorhands today. A classic in my opinion. A new way to get your family out. Or just a date. And the old school movie experience. During these crazy covid times. Is exactly what we need. Reasonable prices. Highly reccommend the Orpheum. Looking forward to the next up coming movies. Keep in mind while you are there. The architecture, history. Such a beautiful building. Everywhere you look and feel history.

What a marvelous place. Even more up grades for new events! Its a must see.

Seen Bandstand this evening and it was phenomenal! Yes, it was a Broadway touring company that performed and we would expect excellent quality from such and it was! The atmosphere of the Orpheum is stunning an old aire classic building. If you ever have a chance to see a show here I would definitely recommend it!

This is an absolutely stunning venue. Well maintained and gorgeous theater. Explored a bit before the show and the view from the balcony was fantastic. Comfortable seats with enough leg room for individuals over 6 foot tall to sit comfortably and even let people by without getting up. Great lighting and sound.Plenty of parking around, though it does run 10. Carry cash for that as not all parking in the area takes cards.

This place was absolutely amazing! The restrooms were clean, and the service was courteous. One of the most amazing things about this place is the ceiling and the architecture of the building itself.

Ayyee what nice place for a show. The interior was absolutely stunning. The chairs was comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. They do check bags and kayak detect you so be ready for a line for heading in. Parking was not too bad but for a downtown theatre it was perfect. At night the lights came alive.

I love the Orpheum Theatre. I performed there when I was 10 years old. It is beautiful inside and out! So much history there. It is just exquisite. In Dec 2018 I saw Phoenix Ballet perform The Nutcracker. I enjoyed the seating, and the show!

This was my first time at the Orpheum Theatre and it was beautiful. I had heard good things about it but when you get inside and see how pretty it is, you cant help but be impressed. I look forward to getting back to see a show sometime as this was only a book signing and author interview.

My wife and I went and saw Celtic Women at the Orpeum Theater it was such a great performance the building is beautiful and the refreshments were actually unexpected. It was a beautiful place had take my wife for a birthday present. If we were able to give them an extra star we would and the employees were very knowledgeable on where to sit and every seat in the auditorium was perfect. But if you are 6 tall its kind of tight so the only complaint that we had. We will be going there next year to see Celtic Woman again. We love them so much, boy they can Sing!

Absolutely beautiful theater, so much detail around every corner. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Kristina Kuzmic was brilliant and wonderful, her show is definitely a must see. I do hope she comes back to the Valley again very soon.

I absolutely love it here. 90 years of theater!! The atmosphere is fantastic. The architecture, peacocks on ceilings, shows, organ, ghosts. It is truly an experience. I just wish they had a coat check. Other than that its a fabulous family night and date night destination.

Beautiful theater in downtown Phoenix. When to see the Simon & Garfunkel Story which was a fantastic show! Had front row seats which was really amazing. The theater itself was beautiful and the seats were very comfortable. I will definitely be coming back to see shows in this venue. Also, there are many parking lots nearby so you dont have a long walk to the theater.

Comfortable seating and nice acoustics, however the floor has such a gentle angle that a tall man in front of me blocked my view and I had to lean to one side to see only half the stage.

The show was great and there was a good amount of parking near by. They got everyone seated pretty fast as well. The only area where I could see improvement would have to be in making sure that pedestrians traffic in the lobby area is constantly moving to ensure that people traveling through can get to where they need to be.Overall great!!

Very elegant theatre, love going to shows here! Enjoyed the Nutcracker last night!

Came here with a bunch of friends for a live podcast and it was a very nice theater. The architecture was gorgeous, seating was comfy. The sight lines and sound were good. Parking in the area was decent in quantity and the restaurants were pretty good with a variety of options to choose from within a block or two walk.

Orpheum is just beyond cool. The seats are all good and the building is a historical masterpiece. Make sure to talk to the ushers for some cool insight on the building and some of its secrets. Rest assured you can hear the tale of the ghost that resides in the balcony.

I pray this building stays forever. So unique and beautiful!

If you enjoy learning Arizona history and spooky surroundings, then I definitely recommend a visit here. My family and I attended the annual ghost hunting trip and it was quite the experience. Definitely worth the tour donation!

Great views from any seat in a beautiful historic building. Ive been to many shows here for decades and its great nostalgia...happy memories. My only criticism is the very long line into the venue. I have a lower body disability - both legs - & stood for a long while, sitting every chance I could. This could easily be remedied. But we still had a great time and we all miss the great Gorj! Rest in power Ivan...we love and miss you too much ️!

My husband and I went to the Orpheum for the first time last night and were blown away by the incredible architecture and detailing! Everything was very well run down to the smallest details. My only wish for the future would be that the show start on time.

Beautiful historic venue. There probably isnt a bad seat in the whole place. There is a parking lot and parking garages nearby.

One of my favorite places to go for elegance, community and culture. I was at a Nutcracker performance and BRAVO to the entire cast! I enjoyed myself immensely. And from the ticket takers at the doors to the ushers showing me to my seat, everything was done with a smile and greeting and with top notch professionalism. Ill definitely be back for more shows and events and bring friends.

Loved seeing BANDSTAND tonight. The theatre is beautiful. We were fortunate to have tickets in the 9th row. Not a long walk to door, bars or bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Overall a great experience!

This was a first for us and it was fantastic. The place it self was clean and rest rooms very clean and art work of everything was every where. What a wonderful place to enjoy true art of the human body and a timeless story.

The Orpheum Theater is beautiful and they have done an amazing job preserving a lot of the original work from when it was built. I highly recommend visiting for any performance or even the ghost tour.

Went to the Orpheum Theater to watch Napoleon Dynamite and stay for the Q&A with some of the actors from the movie. Was disappointed that they didnt show the actors on the big screen. We were in the balcony and too far away to really get a good look at them. One of the actors wore ball cap, so it was impossible to make out any of his facial feature. Other than that, the theater is stunningly beautiful!

A classic theatre with tons of charm and character. A great place to see a show or concert. Get there early so you can get a chance to see the interior and the amazing restoration job done on this classic theatre that was built in the 20s.

We saw the nutcracker. The performance was amazing, the theater is beautiful. My mom and I really enjoyed the experience. Theater is small enough to be able to see well no matter where you sit. We will visit again!

It was my first time and had a great experience. The line moved quickly and with open seating at the event, I got in the first row (lucky!). The Ushers were very helpful and plenty of them.. The jam as we were leaving went just as quick and smooth.. its a beautiful building inside and out.

Saw The Nutcracker here. Great production. I always love going to the Orpheum. Walking through the entrance is like going through a portal to another time and place. Unlike anyplace else in modern Phoenix, and I mean that in the best way.

The show was very good, but the place is very poorly run. We have season tickets and they double sold our seats and nobody at the theater has a clue what to do. They dont even know what seat is where. I recommend you get there early to claim your seats

Beautiful architecture. Wonderful shows. Great prices.Never enough at the snack bars. Multiple people waited in line only to find out that almost everything was sold out once they got to the cashier. Invest in a sign that says sold out so youre not wasting everyones time.

This is a beautiful and truly unique theater. Great sound and small enough to be able to see the stage easily from the back row. Mama loves it.

Took a middle school group of art students on a behind the scenes tour of the Orpheum. Our docent was FABULOUS. Very knowledgeable and kind. Wonderful place!

Beautiful old theater, restored with care to its early 1900s status. The sound is so clear and nice. Decent seating and lots of nearby parking.

Wow. What a unique place in Phoenix. The architecture of this building surprised me and I really appreciated how different it was. The show I saw was really good and I dont think there could have been a bad seat in the entire place. Staff was attentive, bathrooms were clean and accessible, and security was quick. I would go back again for another show and highly recommend it for anyone else.

Love the theatre, and the staff went above and beyond. Beautiful, clean seating, great experience! Only one suggestion though. Holding everyone in the lobby until 30 minutes before Curtin, was a bit crowded, and maybe more seating in the lobby? But there was no pushing, or rudeness, Everyone was great, and the Magic Show was stellar.

Saw Shen Yun. It was awesome. The Orpheum is a great venue. Lots of history and its gorgeous. parking is tough, give yourself some time. Downstairs is pretty cramped with restrooms and a Bar down there. Hit the Bar upstairs if u dont have to go to the bathroom. Love the Orpheum! You will too.

The Orpheum is the best venue in the Valley for music and stage.The restoration is meticulous and beautiful, going to a show there JUST to enjoy the physical theater is worthwhile.The acoustics seem perfect.The seating is comfy.The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.We have been to a dozen or so shows at the Orpheum and had a wonderful evening each time.You should go, you will agree.

The Orpheum Theatre recently showed SpongeBob Squarepants. It was an amazing show. The Orpheum Theatre is known for bringing wonderful and entertaining shows to Phoenix. This Theatre has a rich and glorious history, it is a jewel in Phoenix. I highly recommend seeing shows or purchasing a package of shows to fully enjoy the experience of this Theatre.

The Orpheum is a beautiful old theatre from the late 1920s.

The location is great, right in the best part of central Phoenix. Parking is a bit scarce, so I recommend showing up a little early so you can find parking nearby and walk over... dont worry, the parking garage I went to was only $4 an hour.The Orpheum building itself is a beautiful work of art. The show put on the almost all student cast was fabulously done. Those kids are very talented and it was a pleasure to see their performance. My kids loved the show, I have a son and daughter btw. I definitely look forward to going again next year.

This venue is just beautiful with its blue sky and clouds ceiling, gilded ornamentation, and comfortable seating. The outside of the building hides the wonderful interior. I visited to watch ShenYue, the incredible troup of Chinese dancers, and the theater enhanced the performance.

Great venue for film showings like the annual Warren Miller show. Plays well with live performances as well. Cant wait until the next one.

I wont complain about bar prices, but I will warn you that it is nearly impossible to use the restroom during intermission because there are not enough bathrooms! Aside from that, this place beautiful, stunning.The sound quality left something to be desired as I felt that those beyond the 9th row would have trouble hearing if I did.

This is a nice venue. There is plenty of nearby parking. My wife and I saw a performance of Shen Yun. The seating is a bit narrow and close together. There seemed to be very little air circulation. It was a bit warm. Our seats were near the middle, so we had a very good view of the stage. The sound quality was very good.

My wife and I saw Gillian Welch and her musical partner Dave Rawlings last night at the Orpheum. It was our first experience in the grand atmosphere of the historic theater and it definitely will not be our last. Stunning, colorful, great access, good refreshment bars, and a nice outdoor area for stretching your legs at intermission. A+

Very elegant, spent 30 minutes to get back to the car parking garage 5th floor as ghe doors to staires were LOCKED!!!. Only two small elevators with 1600# capacity each!!

Gorgeous theatre, comfortable seats and friendly ushers! They have lots of womens restroom stalls and you are able to bring your own resuable water bottle, which is great when youre coming with a kiddo! Theres lots of options for parking. I cant wait to see another show here!

So if you ever decide to drive or walk by this place in the evening hours you will be charmed by the inviting, warm amber lights in the front of the building. The Orpheum Theatre Phoenix is truly a well kept old theater that has been entertaining masses of people for who knows how long!

Attended the Orpheum theatre with my mom and daughter for the Snow White ballet! The theatre itself is beautiful inside and out. The ballet was beautifully done! The set, costumes, and the talent was really top notch! It was for sure fairytale like! Beautiful theatre and play, I look forward to the next!

The Orpheum Theatre is a beautiful classic theatre. I was there for a company event but it was my first time there.My suggestions would be to update the seating as the seats are small and slightly uncomfortable. As well as the volume for speakers, it was easy for their voices to get drowned out by applause.

The triumphant return of Louis CK. First time to this venue and it was really, really cool. The show was amazing.

Classic, my graduation ceremony was held there and I also saw my first musical there. Beautiful experience everytime.

Beautiful theater, but the seats are very close together and very little leg room. It also got quite warm with everyone crammed in the theater. Needs more bathrooms as well. Both women and men had very long lines for the bathrooms at intermission. Show was good, but not comfortable.

We had 3rd row seats on the middle. We saw RuPauls Intergalactic Drag Show. Sound was amazing, lighting was good except when trying to take pictures, (We had permission to video tape or to take pictures.) Audience participation was on point, sound was excellent. Fabulous show.

The place is beautiful and the seats are vert comfortable. The staff is extremely pleasant and accommodating. All in all a nice place for an evening out.

The Orpheum Theatre is hands down the most beautiful theatre I have ever visited. You can tell a lot of work and talent went into building it and designing all of the amazingly beautiful pieces you will find.The staff is very friendly and helped us find where we needed to go. The bar had a very nice selection and the snacks werent too bad either.Theres an elevator if you need one and more than adequate bathrooms for intermission.I give ultimate kudos and I think everyone should definitely check out a show here if you can.We saw the Spongebob Squarepants Musical and is was a joy.
