Great show parking lot concert. Unfortunately tickets were sold out but I listened to it from outside the gates and it was bomb
Loved the intimate space as fans and spectators can feel almost part of the show. A friend took me to see Sebastian Yatra and it was amazing! No issues. No problems. Happy people everywhere, singing and dancing. It was a great experience, especially for being my first time here. I will definitely be coming back.
Finally went to the Celebrity Theatre. Ive driven by this place like 500 times. Quite the intimate setting for entertainers and their audience. Was very small and all seats in the house have an excellent view of the stage. It is round, and evidently a historic place. All kinds of acts come here. As of this writing, the Monkees are coming!Tons of photos of past performers, Sammy Davis Jr, Stevie Nicks, and on and on. I was here for the AZREIA monthly meeting. It appears they serve alcohol for the events. Lots of parking. Relatively easy access for people. Its off 202 and 32nd st.
Comedy show was pretty good but i wont be back because of the seating.. knees in my chest and pressed up against the seat in front.. also the drinks were off the charts high for a comedy show.. $25 for 2 beers and a water and one of the beers was coors light in the 12oz can.. i get it, it was also for AHS, which i fully support but just not worth the cramped crowded seating..
Great venue with fantastic acoustics and a ton of local history. I always jump at the opportunity to see shows here, but forget about the parking situation, and the cost of drinks. Some of the signage could do with an update, and the venue could do more to attract better artists. That being said, this venue is a Phoenix landmark that has hosted some legendary talent. Long live the celebrity theatre.
Probably the best place to see a show. At least it was the best place I saw a show while I lived in Arizona.
Good acoustics and view of the stage. Nicely sized for the venue presented, although not a lot of leg room and had to stand every time someone needed out to the aisle. Would be better if the bar/drinks were not right as you came in the doors and wouldnt block foot traffic so much upon entering.
Hands down best place to see any artist that you like! Such an intimate setting you feel part of the performance. Whether theres enough seats sold to turn the stage or not, you wont be disappointed. There really is no bad seat in the house. I will go back again and again. Downstairs is an amazing display on the walls of all the artists who have performed there, like a musical museum. My favorite place in Arizona to see a concert.
I grew up in Phoenix and in the early 70s I was fortunate enough to see some incredible concerts there. ZZ Top, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, Commander Cody, Charlie Danials, and Steve Miller to name a few. Several of us got in to see Savoy Brown with fake tickets a friend made at North High School. I live in Boise Idaho now but I will always have great memories of The Celebrity Theatre.
Loved hearing Willie Nelson. Only wish I was able to see him. Had seats in first row of section B13. Looked great when we got there but then they placed a full row of chairs in front of us that TOTALLY BLOCKED my view. I asked an usher how were we able to see and she said, dont buy seats in the first row. I bought these tickets five minutes after the tickets went on sale. No where did it say they would be in an obstructed view area. I had my choice of seats as the ticket sales only opened 5 minutes previously. If it sounds like I am UPSET, it is because I am! Entitle me a Former Customer of Celebrity Theater. The picture below is what I looked at instead of Willie Nelson.
My husband & I attended The Daniel Caesar concert. The spinning stage gave the artist personal time with each side of the room. I love that. we enjoyed ourselves.
Great venue! Love the cozy atmosphere and no bad seats. More bathrooms would be great.
I love this place, small venue with some top entertainment. Drinks are pretty pricey but for the price its still one of the best venues in town. Be prepared for a $10.00 parking charge.
Awesome place to see a concert no seat is more than 25 rows from the circular turning stage.
Incredible place to see a show. So unique, every single seat is good.Seen probably 20 shows over the years and it’s just so much fun
I have been coming to the Celebrity Theater since I was a teenager and now Im in my sixties and still coming. Just saw the final tour George Clinton it was sooooooo good!!! Guess Ill be coming to see concerts until Im in the grave. I love this venue.
Awesome venue! Amazing concert surroundings! Loved Get The Led Out!
An older smaller venue with a rotating stage that offers great views for all ticket holders. Saw many concerts here over the years, most recently Gordon Lightfoot and have never had a negative experience besides the tight seating for big fellas. Parking is $10 bucks-cash only, a beer is $7 and a mixed drink is $13.
We saw Styx and it was phenomenal! Best concert I have ever been to. Theres truly not a bad seat in the house and you feel like youre so close to the band!
Its a pretty cool small venue, not super sure I like the hole in the round part with the turning stage... a lot of the time the band is facing the other way.But being as small as it is youre still pretty close to the stage so thats nice.
I’m going to perform here in 2 years to sold out shows!
Great old school venue. Very small, not a really bad seat in the house due to the rotating stage. There is a large bar downstairs we did not know about and was nice to hang before the show.
Celebrity theatre is a very intimate venue. Frequent this place often one of my favorite venues in Phoenix. Seating is in the round and no matter where you are in the theatre you will have a good view. I always get there a little early and hit the downstairs bar before the show. They have everything from boxing to comedy and its always a good time.
First time there, very cool intimate setting theater.
Even though the a/c went out when we played it was marvellous. Love that rotating stage. Always making new friends.
First time out to the Celebrity Theatre and it is a great, comfortably sized venue with a good view of the stage from any seat in the house. The staff and concession vendor personnel were all friendly, efficient and attentive. I had heard mixed reviews on the sound system, more negative than positive - but you know what they say about opinions... lol. I thought the sound was great too! It’s located in a part of town easy to get to from anywhere and right by the 202 loop. Only down side I could find if you can call it that, is the parking fee is a bit on the high side I thought for a couple of hours at $10 a pop. Oh, and cash only bars - but they did have at least one ATM on site that I saw and used. I will definitely be going back to see other bands/artists in the future!
Built in 1963, holds 2,650 ppl. This venue is up close and personal. We sat close to the back for Styx and had a great time. For the regular concert goer, this is a must see place. Ive been in Phoenix for over 20 yrs. and had never been here. A nice surprise.
Cool venue! Amy was wonderful! The band drowned her out too much off the time.
This place is great for an small concert. Been here twice and the staff has been nice. Cash only bar so get cash before u get there. $10 cash for parking. Went for the Neyo concert. Sat in the A seats however any seats here are good.
Last night I attended the Alice Cooper concert here. Had a bit of an issue with our tickets (not the fault of Celebrity Theater!!) and there were several employees here who absolutely went above and beyond to ensure my boyfriend and I would still have an enjoyable evening. Thank you again so much guys! (They were Patricia, Scott, and another woman whose name escapes me, I’m sorry!!! I’m bad at remembering names!!)But honestly every employee I interacted with was amazing. The gal at the box office, the gentleman who was scanning our tickets, the bartender we bought drinks from. You have a bunch of incredible employees, Celebrity Theater, and we WILL return because of them!!!
How can you beat sitting 25 feet away from one of your favorite musicians? Great venue. Excellent concert! Alan Parsons Project! Yessss!
Good place to see bands or any entertainment. Great sound, Upgraded seats, and easy to get in and out.
We came here to see Nick Offerman. It was a good show and there doesnt appear to be a bad seat in the house. Acoustics are excellent and the rotating stage isnt as distracting as we originally expected. Parking was a hot mess but it didnt detract from the experience. We hope to see more shows here in the future.
What a great place for concerts. Been here two times now Styx & Alan Parsons Project. Cant wait to back for more next year.
Theater in the round, acoustically sound. This place will never change. If people walking between you and the performers bothers you, be sure to get your seats close to the stage. Intimate and enjoyable.
Fun place but weird stage. Seating is tight. Drinks expensive. But I guess thats everywhere. Its an old venue.
Every seat is good and the stage rotates. Decent sound, too. A cool venue for music.
It’s not a bad place for a concert because it’s very intimate. It’s a theatre in the round, which means the stage rotates all the time. However, it’s a tight squeeze when you sit down! I’m 5’7 and my knees were constantly hitting the sit in front of me!My friends and I went to see George Clinton and dressed up in 70’s garb! The concert was terrible but we had a good time!
Amazing little Theatre. 1 of 2 in-the-round stage theaters in the country. Ive seen quite a few shows since the early 90s there. Only 2hr drive from my home. Not a bad seat anywhere in the house.
This place is in need of renovations, but it still makes for a great venue for any event I have ever attended. From Gallagher to MMA, it never disappoints !
Entertainment was top-notch but seats were too tight. I know this is an older venue that has its own uniqueness. Theater in the round, whether live music, or stage play is very interesting and reminiscent a venues I went to back east when I was much younger. The staff was very friendly and efficient but the only reason I cant give it five stars is because of the seats. I will try to investigate to see if there are better seats with more room.
I love this venue. Very intimate. Great performers. Not a bad seat in the house. Prices are reasonable.
With only 2600 seats and a rotating stage there isnt a bad spot in this theater! I love this venue, the owner and his dog greet the crowd during the opening, it is so heartwarming and so cool!
Always a great comedy venue! The bar downstairs is a cool way to get a drink and hang out before the show.
Just saw Lou Gramm (of Foreigner) with Asia! Great show! Celebrity Theater never fails to impress.
Every seat a good seat. We sat in section B8 had a great sight line. We saw the Australian Bee Gees perform. Acoustics were great. Staff was friendly. There were long lines for the bathrooms at intermission.
Saw Todd Rungren at the Celebrity Theater... great venue and amazing show...
Very very nice and intimate venue. The bar downstairs is so amazing I wish it was open everyday!!!
Always a great time visiting the Celebrity Theatre. Unique concert venue and there are no bad seats in the house!
Great venue!! Alan Parsons Live
Awesome venue, saw Queen tribute band! Concessions, parking and hosts were all professional!
One of the best concert spots in Phoenix and the sounds is usually spot on but the 80s show was not one that lives up to their high sound quality standard.
Very good show and atmosphere
One of the best concert venues anywhere. rotating stage is fantastic, not a bad seat in the house.
George Lopez was great. Every seat is great at Celebrity?
This theater has a very well balanced acoustics and good sounds technicians Ringo put a good show.
Bass is way too much. Sound system is great, but too much for the venue. They are not playing in a big stadium. Very uncomfortable. Sound man should be fired.
It was nice! I loved the turning stage!
Awesome place to see your favorite artist, I recently saw Bert Kreischer. Best experience ever at a venue that Ive been too. When you go, make sure to grab a cold drink from Mike, a bartender there, awesome guy who knows how to get quality drinks out fast so the line is quick....Well be back again many more times
Went to see R Kelly. The lines were crazy and very disorganized. Thats why i only give them three. For being an older venue and growing up on in the area. It was very clean and the sound was good. Now, lets get organized on the lines and ppl will be a lot happier with you
Good ole fashioned venue. If you like the performance arts. Comfy and you feel connected with the stage. Great acoustics as well! Everyone should take time to take their families.
Its a cool lil venue but I just wish the seats were bigger with more leg room. Its hard to enjoy things when ur cramped up in an uncomfortable seat. The place needs an update from the screens that are blurry to the small uncomfortable seats. I do like the place but it definitely needs an update.
We saw Jo Koy here last night. I was pleasantly surprised to find out its a smaller, circular venue (the stage is a circle with seating all around). There are no nosebleed seats in the entire venue. We were in section A12. The only section closer were those few on the floor. I noticed they did have a VIP table section right next to the stage, if you feel like splurging a little. The doors we went in had a liquor stand right inside. While it was convenient, it also kind of caused a traffic jam because its not a large lobby like in other venues. You enter and can see the stage/seats immediately...at least via the doors we entered. It might be set up differently at other entrances. They did do the normal purse check and wand scanner but I felt it was a much easier process than larger venues. Parking was a little busy but was only $10. I will DEFINITELY return for events at this venue; primarily because of the seating to stage arrangement. Smaller/skinny cans of Michelob Ultra were only $7. (Sorry picture is not the best. It wasnt taken with intentions of adding to my review. I added it as an afterthought to give you a moderate idea of the seating)
Cool shows & a few good staff peeps. I asked if we could move to better seats and they obliged. Just not polite when they chastise you for dancing in the aisle. The show was not sold out so did not understand the petty rules.
No bad seats in the house! Loved it.
This is a wonderful, intimate venue. I love the revolving stage!
Awesome!! Great concerts, great customer service. The memories on the wall, are so INCREDIBLE!!!!
I had heard that Alice Cooper had not been in here since he was in the band the spiders in 1966, they put on such a fantastic show with all of their friends for Christmas thank you so much for everyone who visited here and had attended this wonderful Christmas pudding!
All of the seating is amazing. The stage can rotate 350° while the event never stops. Friendly staff. Tickets for almost all events are beyond fair. Totally recommend doing your shows here.
I love the intimate venue and the amazing slate of celebrities that Danny zelisko brings to the Celebrity Theater. The only thing I wish is that the seats werent so close together between rows. Even for people with short legs its a really uncomfortable fit. Also the seats themselves are not very wide at all almost to the point where even a thinner person barely fits in them.
Theater in the Round, so your seat is great. It has monitors in the upper seats as well. Bog parking lot, close to the airport and motels.
Very pleased with my experience with the celebrity theatre. Was fun clean and staff was helpful and nice
Music was awesome. Got to see Wang Chung and Flock of Seagulls
Great intimate concert hall venue! The stage rotates making every seat in the house front & center. A consistently good variety of artist & performances.
Came to see Oingo Boingo. Still great after all these years. The singer replacing Danny was great. Love the venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Parking was easy. Loved the evening.
Small venue, seen outstanding performance by Nate Bargatze for a Valentines day treat. Leave early to beat traffic and parking, regardless it is still pretty easy coming and going.
My job holds high school commencements here. Always nice & easy to move around when Im here.
The theater itself was awesome Patton Oswalt super funny guy and so was the comedian who opened before
Friendly staff, perfectly-sized venue (for comedy in our case), and not a bad seat in the 2,500-seat house.
Love Celebrity Theater...Alan Parsons is a musical genius. Another terrific concert!!!
Loved it, was a great venue and Nate brought his best, a whole hour of new stuff!!, had a great time.
Great views from anywhere in the venue.Older building, but great place to see a show. Great staff.Good sound. Comfortable.
Only issue was having some big fat guy blocking my view. When he went to sir down I thought it was over for me. I swear to everything I love that he was going to be in my lap.
I have been here several times and Im happy every time. Parking is great, get there early though. My Dad is ADA and they are very accommodating. Drink prices are the same almost everywhere. Theres really no bad seat.
BE SURE TO CHECK THIS BAND OUT!!!So I was here on a Wednesday night and saw this crazy band that was off the CHAIN. It was a band called Sunny Side Up. They come into the stage and the bassist starts frying eggs on stage while maintaining a bass line on the guitar, what a multi-tasker! Then the drummer comes in frying up french toast. The guitarist then starts making hash browns. Then everyone in the audience grabs a paper plate and walks on stage and gets served a breakfast by the members of the band. The breakfast was pretty good, something that you would expect at a mom and pop dinner. While you are eating the breakfast the band is no longer distracted by multi-tasking making food and music at the same time so they unleash a musical furry. You will be scarfing down your hash browns and darn near choke because of how fast they can play.
It was so uncomfortable, we had to leave. Many people were standing around us, due to the small crowded seats. The seats are made for small petite people only. We wont be going back.
This legendary longtime Phoenix hotspot is a fantastic venue to see and hear a concert or any show. Very intimate setting where any seat is good and most are great. We saw Styx perform tonight there and they were fantastic and energetic as ever. Im one of those Please do a tour with original vocalist, Dennis DeYoung long time fans, but his replacement is very talented as well and I recommend the show.Local and great concert promoter Danny Zelisko brings a strong menu of varied acts here throughout the year so theres no shortage of quality entertainment for everyone regularly here. One of the sacrifices at this intimate venue the patron may experience is the somewhat cramped bathrooms closest to the seating areas. The downstairs facilities have fewer stalls but are much roomier and easy to access as an option. The food at the venue is actually pretty good as well. So overall, this is a great place to spend an evening enjoying your favorite stars.
Just saw Styx there... best venue to see a concert still, even though the sound mixers were a little off...
Went and seen Nick Offerman with my dad. First time here and gotta say the set up is pretty awesome. No matter where you sit its like the stage is right there. Kind of ridiculous you have to pay to park in the lot or find a parking spot in the crack head neighborhood
Amazing acoustics and not a bad seat anywhere!
Nice intimate venue, parking was $10 but so worth it. The mass exodus was streamlined, taking out a lot of the anxiety that comes with leaving a place.
Great place, more intimate than the typical venue and has character
Went there for Holmbergs Happy Endings comedy show which was highly entertaining. The aisles are easy to navigate and the food and drink counters were very quick to get me what I wanted. Many of the features of the facility I would change wouldnt make it what it is today. Overall, a good experience getting in and out and all the staff were pleasant. The Uber/Lyft setup could use some improvement. I will go back again.
I have attended shows here since 1971. The seats are all good, as other reviews have stated. The most outstanding aspect of Celebrity Theater is definitely the staff. They are courteous and enthusiastic. I noticed the usher crew helping elderly people find their way throughout the Trower show.Long live Celebrity.
