A favorite evening place of mine. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. It has a cool feel to it.

This place is really cool. Several rooms, bartenders and wait staff are all nice and very chill people. Its a good environment, and a great place to host events like fundraisers

This was nice place. Stopped in with few Friends and had good time. Service was good and so was food & drink. Will be back seemed pretty quiet when we went but I am sure it gets lively on weekends. Look forward to next time we get to check it out.

The service there is some the best Ive ever experienced for a bar. I only go 3 times a year but they always treat me like a regular. Their chicken fingers are the best bar food Ive ever had.

The mens bathroom was out of order so we had to share with the females. The bartender was great. The music was good. Wait staff eh.

I genuinely have no complains. I love the workers.. I like how this place is underground so its not like a Huge traffic of ppl will be at happy hour right away like other places. Its huge. Certain Wednesdays they have crab night. Happy hour is 5 to 8 everyday except Saturdays I think. Also the appetizers are hugeee. Yes.... Love this place!!!

The place has been closed for awhile

Its youre standard bar food, nothing particularly spectacular about that. However, they do a great job in inviting groups and events to the bar so it feels like a community. If you go theres probably an event you can join in that will welcome you. Plus even though the waiters are always running around trying to keep up, they are still chill people with good vibes.

Great spot for an appetite of any size. the service was friendly and observant. bring your hunger - portions are filling. kinda of like a place in houston that i enjoyed.

Great environment! Can get busy or be nice and cozy for food and drinks. Cell reception isnt great but its underground so you cant ask for too much.

The ambiance is amazing. I dined on a Friday night. Food was DELICIOUS. Staff was attentive and prompt. I ended up coming back the next day, even got to meet one of the cooks who was extremely personable. I used to frequent Landmark Americana but the spinach dip and wings here at Tavern on Broad are to die for! Will be frequenting much much much more!

Arguably the best place to combine my enthusiasm for novelty named beer and $5 burgers. Live music was ace too. Pro-tip, Staceys Mom has got it going on as the best beer in the place. Great staff too. 10/10

Great place to get a drink. An amazing happy hour! Try the volcano shrimp! The wait staff was friendly and they host Meetup groups, and I think that speaks volumes. I will definitely be adding this place to my go-to places.

Excited after eagles win....heard about on socialMedia....not destination but thought we would stop in....first two things waitress suggested on menu they were out of ....first beer choice...u guessed it...out of it....ipa in stock was cool at best...ice in it now...watered down hit drinkable...headed to molly malloys.......never...ever disappointed there!!!!

I have found my bar to watch Panthers football games. I moved from Charlotte NC last year and have been looking for a place to watch football on Sunday. A group of about 12 open and friendly Panther fans gather here every Sunday. This is my new hangout on Sunday, thanks for having me.

Eh, back when I drank I would sometimes drink here. Its nothing special, just a bar on broad Street. If youre looking for a bar on broad Street, this sure is that. Most of my drinking nights were not spent at this bar, because it was never clear why I should drink here rather than anywhere else. But I guess I have no complaints about it.

First time and going back on Wednesday for all you can eat crabs ..O.M.G great ppl and food and band was awesome and the waitresses are quick with your orders

Bartender was awesome. She was quick and made good drinks.Hostess was friendly, seated us quickly. Waiter was good. Gave us time to familiarize ourselves with the menu.Came back and took our orders. Food was good and their prices were pretty good too fo being in the city.I would live to come here again and try more of their food.Oh and they had happy hour 5 to 8pm. Half price drinks!!!

Waitress was friendly and good. My wife had a margarita that she said was good. I got the spicy chicken sandwich which I wasnt all that impressed with. Im not sure why they call it spicy chicken when the only thing on it that was spicy was the pepper Jack cheese. The chicken portion was small in comparison to the roll. Place appears a little outdated.

Not a fan, if Im being honest. The location is cool, right on Broad a stairway down. The facilities are spacious, but the place is so packed and sweaty that I was uncomfortable 99% of the time I was there. No good drink specials, took forever to get a drink, and they werent strong at all. I wont be returning on purpose.There are a ton of better bars within a block or two.

The volcano shrimp is the bomb! Happy hour is loud and lively on Friday nights. The live band took the crowd to the next level. Great place to rent a room for a private party. The service is awesome.

Rude bartender. Asked to check on food because it was taking over 45 min for fries. Finally said never mind and had him take the fries off the bill. Had a drink as well and didn’t tip cause the service was awful. The bartender then smacked the check out of anger making it fall on ground. Great way to conduct business!

Not exactly the fastest service in the world. The food they offer is mostly bar food and quite average. The cheesesteak I ordered was a greasy spoon cheesesteak. The fries were quite good surprisingly. They have a good selection of beer, a few local, on tap. It’s a very college-y type of atmosphere. In this case, location, location, location services this place quite well.

First, let’s start with the fact that the place is rather cold. Second, my party waited a good 15 minutes at the bar before being served, although the place was fairly empty. Third, the sign outside said “half off all drinks for happy hour, ” but apparently this didn’t apply to certain drinks. However, we were not told this until AFTER we had already had two rounds. Oh, and let’s not forget the bartender who frequently adjusted his “junk” but never washed his hands before making drinks. Used to come here frequently, never coming back.

Not the place for dinner before a show. Prices were pretty cheap but the impossible burger didnt come with chips or fries and was just a frozen boca burger for 11 bucks. Good place to go drink but not much else.

The food is incredible. I highly recommend the cheessteak egg rolls. The waitress was super cool. I walked past this place 100 times and never noticed it and i am so glad i did tonight. Definitely go there

My friends host a happy hour here every once in a while. It never disappoints. Foods good and the drinks are even better.

A nice neighborhood bar in center city

We came here for the all you can eat crab legs special last night around 7. The place was packed (always a good sign). They seated 4 of us right away. It took a while for our first plates of crabs to be out but they were worth the wait. Big, steamy, fresh crab legs with corns and potatoes. Talk about delicious marination!!! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

This is the most boring bar Ive been to in a long time. Wait staff is nice but slow and inexperienced. I would not list it in my top 10 places to see.

This spot is and a great location right in the heart of Center City right next to the subway line very easy to get to from public transportation and they have an amazing happy hour

Went here for a UNC vs duke football game event we had prescheduled, and they switched the game to the Penn state on an important possession in the 4th quarter for OUR game that we had already had an event for. The staff also lies about the drink prices. STAY AWAY!

I liked it very much. Heather is an awesome bartender. The Bills games and fans make it interesting during football season. The food is very good. Some would even consider this place a gastropub.

Friday nights they have a good dj and great drink specials. The vibe was nice and towards the back they have a dance area.

Do not go to brunch trivia they were so disorganized and our food took over an hour to arrive to our table. Its like theyve never done brunch trivia before when its actually a weekly thing. the trivia itself was fun but was stretched out way too long and it didnt seem like they had anybody helping run it

Tavern on Broad is always a great place to be at. The staff is super friendly and the crowd is pretty chill. Their apps are amazing and fulfilling. Especially the loaded fries!

Always a fun time. & on Monday nights they have boardgames with lots of people playing.

Just went for dinner and a drink and was really pleased with the service and the food! They also do live music on Wednesday nights, which I think is really cool if youre looking for a chill place to let off steam midway through the work week.

Nice place to watch a football game on a eagles bye week. Bills fans know how to get down! Cheap labatts blue and give aways at half time. 2 dollar beers and good food, cant beat it. I highly recommend even if you arent a bills fan to stop by on a Sunday. If you want to eat the burgers are on point.

So this place is supposed to be open until 2 am, but its 12:30 am now. A guy yells out from the door that they are closing. Maybe you should change the hours on Google so people dont drive over to your place.

Their soda was flat and water tasted like cigarette butts. I guess their alcoholic drinks are okay, though I didnt have any. Everyone else seem to enjoy theirs.Bartenders were pretty slow and it was hard to get their attention. I came for an event and didnt want to drink, so if youre coming here for their live music (which is pretty bad) and you dont want to drink this place is a not a good spot for non-alcoholic drinks.

I hang out here sometimes with my ingress friends and they are so great to accommodate us in the back room even when that section isnt officially open!

I have come here on several occasions for dancing, drinks, and board game nights. This place excels at one thing: getting people drunk on basic beers. To some people, thats not a bad thing. It is personally not my thing, which my review shows.Food - Unremarkable bar food. Good prices during happy hours. In a city with so many restaurants, I cannot recommend eating here.Drinks - Basic. If you want a bar that serves more than domestics + Guinness, or dislike waiting 30-45 minutes for a beer when its busy, then this place is not for you.Dancing - The dancing scene was bad due to how packed it was. Literally, I could have passed out in an upright position, and nobody would know.Facilities - Due to the high volume of people on some weekends, the restrooms get filthy fast. Theyre tight, open, dirty and poorly maintained.Staff - Whether its busy or slow, I have never had a conversation that wasnt more than What can I get for you? and Do you need change?

This place has terrible service and pretty rude staff. My friends and I waited for 20 minutes before anyone took our order and then it took another almost 20 minutes to bring out our drinks. The staff was incredibly rude and lied to me multiple times. We only came here because we won one of those specials but this will be the last time we come.

Absolutely love the burgers here just 5 dollars and as a side you can get fries with the 5 dollar burger option you can get nearly anything on it egg,special sauce,etc but i recommend this place as the best burgers in philly also i enjoyed myself at happy hour!

I didnt like this place. It had a bad smell, the floor was really sticky, it was completely empty and the atmosphere was just bad. It felt like it was closed. Me and my friend had discount cards that we were not able to use together. I gave 1 star because the chicken wings were good but the rest wasnt. I will not go back.

Fine for a center city bar, usually full of college age kids sloppily belting Ed Sheeran

Its not very clean or modern and although staff was polite, they werent experienced, and didnt know much about what was available. This led to a lot of running back and forth to get answers to questions people at our table asked.

The food is very consistent and very good. They have awesome 5 dollar lunch specials everyday that makes it easier to spend less but not eat fast food! The bar scene at night is usually fun and alive however the summer it may be more of a hit or miss. I always had a great time here every time I came and the servers/bartenders are always very nice.

This is literally a hidden gem, Ive passed this place several time and never thought to look down. was here for a meetup game night.

I would love to write some glowing review, but I cannot. No establishment that enacts transphobia so blatantly is deserving of praise. Do better and hire less bigoted staff.

Buffalo Bills fans need to find a new bar in Philly. This place showed zero loyalty to some of their most loyal customers. They kicked out the whole bar into the freezing cold before we even got a chance to find out if the Bills would make the playoffs for the first time in 18 years! Every year, Bills fans pack this place 16 times on Sundays, yet this bar let us down when it mattered most and let us watch the last 2 minutes of the Bengals/Ravens game! We had to all huddle around one guys phone in ice cold weather. Everyone was pissed and I hope none of us there will forget and let Tavern on Broad off the hook.
