So cool and welcoming. GO!!!
Been a required stop for 30 years whenever Im in the neighborhood (and often worthy of a special road trip from Baltimore).
Definitely a place u can meet a guy drop to your knees n go to town well i know i do
Horrible place. The stuff is very rude, especially the guy at the door, he treated me so badly. That place needs to change the people who works in there, absolutely.
Been going here for years and have always had a great time. Keep up the good guys!
I LOVE the Bike Stop, but it does need some work. I don’t want the atmosphere to change but it could use a facelift. Staff is friendly and quick, drinks are pretty nicely priced. Every event I’ve been to has been packed with great looking guys. *edit* depending on the night there are four floors of possibilities. Main level is your typical bar but with a dark climate. This is the gathering place for most guys. Great atmosphere. Second floor is more of a sports bar. More open space than main and basement bars. Top floor is the dance floor with a smaller bar. Basement/dungeon is a seedier vibe than the other floors.
Upstairs shirtless bartender rude. Cant handle the pressure of a crowded bar? However the drink was good. Some training and some personality would be a good start.
A throwback to the 80s, this is a four story bar with lots of places to meet and greet old friends and new. Basement bar is low and dark. Main floors more open. Looks like a small bar on a side street but amazingly big once you get in. Good drink prices too and fast eye candy bartenders.
I love this bar, Ive been coming here for 30 years. Robert, Carmela and Shawn are the best guys all around! - Gabriel
Great place for all the bears and queers, but also show everyone a great time. A must see in the Philadelphia area!!!!
I went there tonight for the first time. After hearing great things. The atmosphere was pretty cool and the bar was full. I was in the bar for all of 20 min maybe, then I went to use the urinal in the basement. About 40 seconds after I was in there, there was banging on the door and an employ flung open the door hitting me in the back came in and told be that I was kiked out, and asscorted me upstairs apparently I had been in the bathroom for over half an hour? News to me. Anyway he was really rude about the whole thing needless to say I will not be going back. Worst experience I have ever had.
If you get the fortune of being here when Ed is bartending, youre in luck .He is the most inviting and friendly bartender Ive met in years .Ive always loved this place, and Ed is just the extra icing on the cake.
My only limitation is that this place is a big tease. Because of puritan local laws there isnt much allowed here. Its frustrating and thank goodness in can travel to more open places in Canada and Europe. Still, friendly crowd.
Great place. Always had been. Ive been coming dunce the mid eighties and not too much has changed. Great dark basement THe Pit Stop. My only chimpanzee is some of the young staff need lessons in customer service. They are very friendly but being a former gay bartender I notice the bartenders could probably increase Friday and Saturday night sales by 25% or more if they were quicker and spent less time with their friends and waited the line quicker and more efficiently. Still a great place.
This is my favorite LGBTQ bar in the city w/o a doubt! Despite the beautiful -- and relevant -- porn on the TVs, the space is much more accommodating to communities who are not white, cis-gendered gay men. I see more diversity in this bar than in any other gay bar in the city. This space seems to be on the right -- and culturally sensitive -- side of society. The staff is fabulous and has always treated me and those Im with with great respect. I feel safe with them. Though all members are wonderful, my absolute favorite bartender in the gay/queer scene is Maso. I love them dearly.I recommend this bar to anyone who wants to support non-racist and inclusive LGBTQ spaces.
AWESOME Staff. Low drama. Neighborhood bar. Most welcome, save the cologne for your day job. Dont be a dick & youll be fine.
The bikestop is a great no frills bar that does not pretend to be anything else than what it is...a great meeting place. The different options on each of the floors make it the place that it is. My partner and I come into Philadelphia about twice a year from Brooklyn ny to go to the Bike Stop.Mike G is.one of the best bar keeps around. Keep up the good work.
Pretty good place, I always have a good time here
I love the bike stop. I feel comfortable and at home. AJ is my favorite bartender of all time!
I asked a simple question of the manager the guy with the Shiva tattoo and his rudeness not once but twice was totally inappropriate I look forward to letting my friends know and bringing their money elsewhere, Ive been going here for over 20 years ..but no more..to be fair to every one else...proficient.....and friendly, ...music good...but the attitudes..totally inappropriate I will be in touch with the owners...more to come.
Nice place for a beer and some conversation. Friendly people. Nothing special, just perfect for hanging out and getting to know the locals and Philadelphia.
SO FREAKING AWESOME. EVERYONE INCLUDING STAFF AND PATRONS ARE ALL SO NICE! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
I really enjoy the beers and all, a place looks old but in really good.
If you are looking this place up and trying to decide if this is the right bar for you please consider the following: Bike Stop is the ONLY good cruising bar (and gay neighborhoodsy bar) in Philly. Great crowds once its starts to fill up around 9/10pm-2am. The main floor and basement are where you want to be when youre cruising. The 3rd floor is cool, but its more like a sports bar (well lit and more open; like a place you would go to watch a game or chill with a group of buddies in the early evening). This is the only great bar to go to in Philly when you are looking to cruise or just have a good time surrounded by a bunch of sexy, real men. As cruisy as this bar is, it happens to be a great neighborhood bar where locals and visitors alike can escape the typical scene-attitude (cough cough! Woodys cough!). Its dark, dirty, sexy, and a good time. Also has probably the friendliest no-attitude bartenders in the whole gayborhood Just moved here recently and so glad to have found this place.
Best place to be on the prowl for beer, cool vibe and great music and the crowds....Grrrrowl!
Awesome bar great staff and very good drinks and prices
The butch gay bar...dont go for the decore (there isnt any) of the food (there isnt any) but the beers are usually cold and the crowd can be fun and is really a friendly place.
Once again MIKE with the bear claw tat on his shoulder has something to say to me.last year I was taking pics on my cell of The porn on tv,he had something to say ...1 year later after NOT going there I took a pic using the flash on my cell and MIKE had somethinthing 2 say.I USE 2 go 2 THIS BAR N THE 80S and 90s...I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND SHALL LET MY MANY FRIENDS KNOW THIS....SHAME ON MANAGEMENT FOR ALLOWING AN EMPLOYEE TO WORK AT THE BIKE STIP.SHAME SHAME SHAME...and I will let the media know 2.....
Why no check for bags and jackets? Downstairs is supposed to be a leather bar. Whet can someone check their clothes if they change into gear?
Great place to go to finsh your night out thats what i do from Woody country night7 to 10:30 then to the BikeStop 11 to 2? Then its off to I Hop or From BikeStop to your pickup place YES
Quick service, looks like a great local bar.
Awesome experience, definitely leather scene....
Pay homage by actually visiting the place. Youll seldom find a similar place like this anywhere in the US---Im referring to the age, OK?
The staff is awesome and service is too. Clothes check is a blessing for those of us who have a tendency to loose things.
Best sports bar in the city.
Best bar in the gayborhood!
