Candytopia is geared towards kids but it was still a lot of fun! The staff were all incredible! You are given free candy in each room and there are also opportunities for fun free photos. The actual candy statues are cool but the candy painting remakes were the best. Would recommend especially to people with kids!
Me and my bestie had fun! We went a week ago and still havent finished the candy they gave us! We were upset we couldnt get in the marshmallow pit. Covid ruined that! But we had a good time overall.
Frida saved this place for me! Nothing to toot your horns over guys! They cute but overpriced. The candy sculptures are amazing and it’s super creative! Felt rushed from room to room and it was difficult to get pictures with the QR code because of the size of the groups! The gummy bears were tasty. You can get some bomb instagram pics! Not stroller friendly but little man enjoyed taking a ride up the escalator! Not really pandemic friendly if you’re a worry wart!
Awesome art made all using candy great family outing
Surprisingly fun if you have kids. Candy isn’t anything spectacular. There is no place for a coat check in. A bit pricey for what they offer... Despite it all, I’m happy I took my family for the experience. If you take your time and there’s long lines for the pictures/marshmallow pit then it could take up to two hours to get through the whole thing. Went to the Philadelphia location and it was nice because it was in the mall at the fashion district. Definitely a one time type of place though. You end up with great pictures.
Nice place to take children, we had fun too with her.
This place is great for you kids! We took our 5 yr old and had a blast. It is fulled with cool sculptures made out of candy. You walk though different themed rooms. They has pictures of famous people, they had full size people (rocky and ray Charles). Our favorite was the under seas room and the marshmallow pit! That was fun we jumped into the marshmallow pit (think a ball pit filled with marshmallow looking pieces). Every room has different candy in each of them from candy bracelets to trolls sour worms!! They sell bottled water along the route if you need it. At the end they have a gift shop to sell more candy, shirts, bags and other similar items. (Everything In there was overpriced which is why they get 4 not 5 stars- we still bought some anyway.)
Could not believe how small this place was. Yes it was nice, kids got lots of candy. It took us 45 minutes and we where done. I cant believe I paid that much money for 1 adult and 4 kids to b in a place for 45 minutes. So before going think about what its going to cost you. Forgot they even made us stand outside in the sun for 15 minutes. Tell u to b there 15 minutes early for what, to stand out side.
Last night my daughter and i attended this exhibit and had a really good time. It was cute and interactive. We where not rushed in any way and our guide was very nice. All the staff was friendly and polite from check in to check out.Pros:santizing stations in every roomCandy given in every room (bring a baggie or bag with you to carry it.)All staff had mask, where very friendly and very helpful.Place is cleanVery cute, fun, interactive, kid friendly, colorful lolYou can download and app to take pictures at the candy stations and ALL pics are freeYou are free to take your own pics wherever you likeThere is parking close by (garages you pay at on 10th street literally around the block not far at all)Its attached to a big mallIf you have a wheelchair Id call 1st because there is one escalator however I dont know if theres an elevator inside. But if not theres and elevator in the mall Im sure you could use to go up and they can let you in again? They where very organized, your start time is true if you booked for 6pm you wont go in til 6pm no need to show up at 5pm and wait on line.CONS:no bathrooms in the exhibit however they are in the mall (the mall is attached to the exhibit so its not that bad and you can leave exhibit to go if you have to)Parking is not on site (but its less then a half block away)Gift shop stuff is a little girly not much for guysThe candy isnt that great (but its free lol)If you show up early you wont be able to go in early. The mall closes at 8pm which means bathrooms where closing too.All in all we had a great time it was cute and fun. Honestly Id do it again, oh and it took about 1hr to walk through.
Very nice sculptures. They were all made of candy. The tour guide was very nice and funny. I absolutely loved the portraits of famous ppl who were made out of candy.
Great staff! Very energetic and helpful. I love that it’s an interactive exhibit. And you get a sample of candy in each room. I wasn’t a fan of the pop rocks. The package had a 2017 advertisement which makes me think it’s old but the expiration date says 2020. Or the strawberry flavor is just disgusting .
This place was fantastic. The kids loved it and I found it pretty amazing myself. Money well spent
Would receive for all ages. If you like candy n pictures u def would love this amazing place️.
This was a really cool experience! The one perk is that it is great for all age groups! We took all of our kids ages 3-14 and everyone enjoyed it. There is candy to get in each room. Each room has different candy statues and exhibits. It wasn’t too long to get through all the rooms either.
The kids loved it! I also enjoyed myself hehe!! It is stroller friendly (Read a review that said not stroller friendly so I left stroller in the car and had to carry my 2 year old the entire time) I could of totally brought it!Cons: Just a little too short and our tour guide didnt tell us how they have different stations that take your pictures and send it to your email. All for free. I found out at the end so that was a little annoying Otherwise we had a great time! They give out free candy in every room so make sure to bring a bag!
It was very cute with plenty of photo opportunities. What took the longest is waiting for people to take all the pics they want, which isnt too bad. There is free candy and many candy art to look at. The marshmallow pit is definitely fun.
Place was beautiful. Omg you get sooo much candy
Great Place for the family! My son somehow managed to find everything that was inedible but that’s a talent that only a 1 year old has....Looking forward to another visit!
My family and I had such a great time here that we visited 2 days in a row. I really enjoyed the artwork and statues. My boys loved the candy.
Fun time for the family
So amazing the employees were so helpful with helping me download the apps needed to get my pictures for my daughter and her best friend I took my daughter there for her birthday it was an amazing experience so cute
FUN!! Overpriced. Staff could be more friendly and enthusiastic and helpful w taking pics as they do at The Happy Place in King of Prussia. Annoying that had to keep using phone to register for pics at each photo opp station because wouldnt be able to use the phone for taking pics at same time. Gets crowded. Marshmallow pit seemed dirty n smelly. Merchandise at the end overpriced. Would go once...doubt would go again at that price but fun way to take some pics n spend some fun w fam or friends. Would be helpful to have parking discounts. Candy was the type from the dollar store. Not impressed. Wouldve been nice to have a tangible to take away like a printed photo that says candytopia something to remember the experience especially for $28/person. The clock, Forrest, and under the water rooms didnt go w the candytopia theme/vibe. Love song n Rocky were extra nice relative to Philly. Confetti room should be last room since get all messy. Really cool to have air blow system to get confetti out & liked back to reality sign on doors at end. Would be nice if there were photos of what each of the rooms looks like & description of what there is to do there online to be better prepared in how to dress n what is of interest. Also waiting outside in line in the cold is ridiculous.
I spend $80 for me and two kids ... it’s definitely OVERRATED .. I get the entire social distancing but I just spend almost $100 there’s no way I should leave with almost $5.00 in candy ... they should be giving out large amounts of candy so it lives up to its name and the sugar rush at the end is closed so it’s pointless. You’ve already spend a lot of money and of course there’s a store at the end. STAY HOME AND GET A PENYOTTA you will get more candy out of it. The only good candy was airheads and they’re stale. The best part of the walk through was our tour guide .. she hyped the kids up, helped with pics and was very sweet ... S/O to Cierra she did an awesome job!!
It was So Much Fun
My wife and i took the tour through this exhibit. It was a good time; very interesting art pieces. Self paced and low key. They tell you when you arrive that you need the phone app; you really dont unless you want the special photos they take for you. The photos are kind of cool, but the app kinda sucks. You can take as many photos as youd like without the app, and the staff will take them for you as well.
Im going today so excited to see everything thanks for the reviews ill be sure to bring a bag with me.
We went pretty late so the crowd was busy but not quite as packed as some people we know who went and the middle of the day. The exhibits were awesome and so were the sets for taking pictures with their app, but the people taking the pictures did not care about actually catching you looking at the camera. It was kind of ridiculous that only one of our official photos came out nicely. But free candy and awesome artwork and also being able to see a bunch of little kids being all happy was great.
It was fun for my son. But I feel like there wasnt that much to do. The candy displays were super cool. My son loved the under the sea room! We had to drag him out of that room kicking and screaming
The best experience...from start to finish the staff is excellent....any picture that i wanted to take they had no problem taking it... its not a timed exhibit so stay as long as u want and dont forget all the free candy!!!! Will definitely do it again
This place was wonderful and fun,my first time here with the family, only thing for me is it was kind of short I expected it to be more and longer other than that fun fun fun
Great place for the family
The children really enjoyed themselves. Staff and child interaction were great. All the staff members were friendly, pleasant and smiled. Some of my babies were enjoying themselves so much that the candy didnt interest them at all. They came home with a few pieces.
Happy place, from the very first walk in to the end there is tons of candy everywhere, the staff are so friendly and willing to take pictures anytime,We didn’t know what to expect and as we walk in was nice is like a candy sculpture museum, is not very interactive only 2 rooms. The place is clean and the best part was the confetti room And “marshmallows pit”Is something fun to do!!!Good for taking pictures only
My little and I enjoyed our visit, but I wont go again, especially with the cost of tickets. The candy creations were very impressive. For the most part, the employees were fun and helpful. We had one employee in particular who was especially kind and thoughtful, and then a different one who tried to rush us through one part and was rather annoyed that we wanted to take time to actually look at the creations in the room. It was fun to be able to take special pictures using the exhibits app. The gift shop had some interesting offerings, but again, everything had an outrageous price. Im grateful we did this once. Its definitely not for everyone. Read reviews and do your research before you shell out for the experience.
Its was fun and we didnt feel rushed. The people who work there are very friendly. I would bring a bag to put your candy in
This place is so amazing! The staff were very nice, you get candy in every room, and there are so many photo opportunities! Definitely reccomend this place for people of all ages! I also reccomend buying tickets in advance since they seem to run out quickly.
It was like going to willy Wonka chocolate factory, amazing and the people who worked there amazing too
Candytopia is a vibe. It’s a nice place to take the kids, I’d go for a girls night out too. My daughter (age 4) loves it and she wants to now go to all the little pop up shops and attractions that my area(Philly) has coming to town.Pretty and colorful. Oh also you should clear your phone of your Previous pictures for space because you will be in picture heaven.
Just a great fun experience looking at some of the art and the information about the art work.
My kids had a lot of fun and so did I. The candy sculptures were cool and the marshmallow pit & confetti as well
This place is pretty cool. Great photo ops through out. I stayed in for about 1.5hrs and it was pretty decent for me and my 13 year old. Staff was energetic and each room provides free candy.Download the app to get an even better experience.
Unique experience, lots of hands on, awesome picture opportunities. About an hour long but you can hang longer if you like. Free candy in every room. Swings, slide & hula hoops in one room. Marshmallow pit and seesaw in another room. Small gift shop at end. Anyone under 4 is free.
Candytopia was out.of this world. Very cool.place. The staff was very nice and the facility was clean. The only thing I would recommend is to expand it more if your going to charge visitors that kind of money, it literally took us 30 minutes to see everything. All in all a nice experience.
Great time with Family and kids. Definitely recommend
Candytopia was an Awesome outing for our Labor Day 2020 Family Day out!
Bro it doesn’t matter how old you are! go here! some of the attractions are for kids but look at these cute photos
Very fun experience! Free candy in every room Marshmellow pit, swings, a slide, interactive photos, and art made by candy. Would reccomend.
Had a great time today the staff was great, very friendly and happy to take lots of pictures they kept the exhibits nice and clean, and the candy was awesome. Definitely worth the price for the experience! The only thing that would make it better would be a real chocolate river
So much fun!!!!! ️ Look forwarding to visiting again. Visited from Baltimore, MD
I expected the gift shop to have a larger assortment of candy. Other than that, it was impressive. Seeing how much time and candy went into each piece was really cool. And there were tons of fun photo ops!
I just went to Candytopia for my best friends birthday party and it was a blast! There were stations on each room that you could take candy from and the attractions were really fun. Why i put a 4 star was because some of the rooms were very small and squished especially if you have a big party or your in a room with 1. Another reason is because there are no water fountains, there is water for $2 but they are small and its not like you can refill them, so i do recommend to bring your own water and go to the restroom before because there are no bathrooms inside. Overall i would say that its a super fun place to bring children and adults of all ages, even the parents were having fun and us, we are ages 8-14.
Awesome place 4 da kids
A truly unique and fun place to visit but it was a little expensive just to look at candy shaped objects, animals and people.
We can’t say enough good things about the exhibit and the staff at Candytopia! The staff was attentive, accommodating, and super friendly. My son lost his phone in the marshmallow pit, and everyone was so helpful. Even at the price, we highly recommend this exhibit. It was a great night and the kids had a ton of fun!
KIDS KIDS KIDS AND Candy candy candy is all the story about great statues made of candy. All the stops have FANTASTIC FRESH CANDY. The marshmallow pit is a great way for jumping fun. Just hold on to your personal belongings in the marshmallow pit. The CANDYTOPIA app works great and saves all your pictures from a fun candy day with your kids.
Me and my kids loved it
Not as good as its portrayed to be, especially with the cost of tickets. $28 per adult is steep, especially when you barely get any candy and can walk through in 5 minutes. Will not be going again. Best part was the staff. Very friendly.
The employees were loads of fun and used enthusiasm in their speeches. There was bonus candy in every room, the candy sculptures were incredible to look at. Id recommend going with at least a friend or two to get more of an experience.
Not sure who gives this place 5 stars. There is no way this place can get 5 stars if the person actually paid the entry price of 25-32 per person. For the price this attraction only gets 2 stars. It was crowded. No place to hang jackets or coats and it was hot.Candy they give out is pure sugar and are just the cheapest available candy from the store (company policy is 2 candy per person from each bin).Staff are nice and helpful. If the price was 50% less than i would add another star, but it is a stretch.Experience is not what they advertise online. Honestly i feel like asking for a refund.
I absolutely loved it as did the rest of the family. From the moment you walk up and wait in line, the staff are extremely vivacious, courteous, and energetic. The feeling is excitement. You feel like you are at Willy Wonka factory. The staff are really amazing, super friendly. Each room has something special in it. We took our time and explored as the group we entered with pressed ahead of us. I hate crowds and this was not bad at all, hardly a crowd. Maybe at first but it did not matter. We expected way less so it was a good value. Really great time.
So cool!!! Tip: bring a bag for all the candy given!
All the amazing art and the ppl hospitality is great
Its fun and interesting for younger kids.
Decent place the employer just have to be more specific
I came here on a Saturday night with 2 of my friends (21 & 22 yrs old). We did have a fun time, but it was way too short of an experience and there were only 2 rooms that we thoroughly enjoyed. I was expecting it to take us at least an hour, and we were finished well before that, even while taking our time. Honestly, I’m very disappointed with how little there was- and I do not think it was our age. We paid way too much money for the experience we got. However, the staff was very friendly and engaged.
My daughter had a blast...reasonably priced.
It was cool! There werent necessarily enough exhibits and interactive things to make the tickets worth it, but it was cool. You do get a lot of free candy which is cool.
“We have so much time and so little to see”- Willy Wonka; and time only moves forward in Candytopia . The rules are simple! You can touch and smell the sculptures; but you CAN NOT EAT THEM! However, if you get a cavity? just blame it on Candytopia . Candytopia is a candy lovers dream! The sculptures were all very detailed and made of only one thing! CANDY! Candytopia doesn’t only have fancy candy sculptures; but it has other attractions such as a fun themes to follow along your walk through, and fun ways to take pictures with their quality high definition cameras . They offer candy throughout the exhibit to cater to that candy carve you develop walking by all that candy! They also have two play pins. One with swings, a slide, and fun sound attractions. Then it’s a fun glitter play room. Then there’s the infamous Marshmallow play pin that captures the best pictures! The air blob room was super fun to run through; and the light mirror room was super dope! They also have a gift store that’s filled with nothing but candy!!! #candytopia #candy #philadelphia #philly #fashiondistrict #gummyworms #airheads #trollicandy #lollipop #chocolate #fun #water #food #foodie #foodphotography #foodporn #foodgasm
I thought it would be nice as you can see the images on the internet it’s look fun and all. But it was so many people in one room. You had to wait in lines to take photos and do activities. The candy you get is such a small amount. ( but I took more then two) and it’s pretty in their but I wouldn’t waste my time going I would save my money and go to the color factory or sky zone somewhere more cheap and fun and where you can buy your own things and do activities without waiting in a line.
Very fun welcoming wonderland for the whole family!
Took us an hour to get through ! Weekdays afternoons are the best cause there was no one there! My group of 4 had the entire place to ourselves ! The only reason I gave 4 stars was the workers . The first few that you meet are wonderful but as you go further and further into it the workers had really miserable lazy attitudes. Download the app ahead of time ! It really makes the experience better !!!anyone saying this place wasn’t good must be real fun at parties
Had a great time with my wife and our kids. They definitely put a lot of thought and time into designing this sweet experience!
BEAUTY OF CANDY ART
Fun for the family and a good photo date spot.
Tiny rooms that they quickly move you through. Not many interactive displays...mostly props to take photos. The candy is that cheap Halloween candy that nobody wants. Certainly not worth the $80 spent for the three of us.
Incredible experience! The photo opps were amazing!
I took my two adult friends because I was intrigued, and hey, who doesnt like candy? We had a bunch of fun. The sculptures were eye-popping and the activities were a blast. Pro tip: download the app.
It wasnt as interactive as advertised. A lot of the interactive photo ops were not working. The candy shop at the end was barely stocked. My friend in Atlanta had a way better experience.
It was ok, the kids enjoyed it. I feel like they had too much going on in the rooms where u were able to take pictures, these setups should have had their own individual room because of the crowding due to the wait for the picture.
We did a day trip from DC to Philly for my granddaughter birthday. We had so much fun. Be prepared to have a ball. Adults had more fun than the kids....lol
Took my girls 5&2 there. They LOVED it. Kinda crowded and had to wait in line to get our pictures taken in each room but worth the wait. Had candy in each room that my girls loved. One worker in the confetti room looked like she was sleeping- not friendly. Most unenthusiastic person I think I’ve ever met. Everyone one else was super nice and energetic. Other than that one bad apple- it was great!
Had an amazing time. The kids enjoyed themselves. Great place to take the family. Not really expensive either.
Pretty cool idea. Wasnt blown away though. My kids enjoyed it, maybe expected a little more for the price.
I totally love candytopia, and yes i recommend everyone to go have a blast there. Its fun, exciting awesome and great for children and adults. My 3 favorite parts in there are wonderland, confetti room under the sea. Although every room is my favorite. My children and cousins had a ball. And wants to Come back to visit. I wish they could stay
I had high expectations for Candytopia and the museum exceeded them exponentially! The artwork is beautiful and vibrant and the interactive exhibits are fun for all ages. There are also numerous photo opportunities so make sure your phone is charged. Also, there are treats in each room and professional pics are available if the app is downloaded. My only issue is that the marshmellow pit smelled like feet. Still worth the pic, though.
Great place to take your family or to go with friends! If you love to take pictures, you love creativity, you love art and a fun atmosphere- you should definitely go to Candytopia.
Not a lot to see. Nothing special. Candy given out can be bought at many grocery or convenience stores. (Twizlers, pixie sticks, etc) Also parking next to venue was very expensive. Save our money.
Loved it! Really fun for kids and adults. The closest youll get to Willy Wonkas that I know of.
Went here w my two kids 4 and 2. Took us about an hour to go through. It was fun, but I expected more for the amount that it cost.
What a good time, I want a job there. Friendly staff and such a cool atmosphere! Going to take my husband who loves candy!
I hope everyone enjoys their experience here! Cool place indeed - it will be interesting to see what happens next.
The whole experience wasnt what I thought. They was cheap with the candy and the staff wasnt very friendly. It was also held at a location where they lacked parking. Their small candy bags were 7 dollars which is a waste especially since 5 and Below is 2 doors away. Had they offered refunds I would have asked for one. I had more fun on the car ride there and I came from MD for a waste of time.
Fun for the whole family! Enjoy going through different rooms with different themes and surprises. Jump in the foam marshmallow pit and dont forget to grab some candy along the way. Great fun staff!
Really fun but short. Take your time in every room, you cant go backwards.
It was good. I think the variety of candy could have been better as the quality.
