It can be a fun night out depending on who the comedian is your going to see. But overall it is what you expect from a comedy club meaning its not a restaurant so plan on eating before or after your show because the menu has very few items to choose from. More like an snack menu. But I do appreciate that they try to enforce the whole social distancing before & during the show. But you can only do so much because people are going to be people. There are rules in place for a reason whether or not people follow them is a different story. But I do appreciate the effort by the punch line staff. Overall I do recommend visiting the Punch Line Philly for a good night out!
It was ladies night out for me and my two friends you saw a bunch of Lady Comedians and they were pretty good the first two were just so so but the last three were on point. Im giving three stars because of the food quality theyre going to serve food they should serve food. Its cooked well and taste good and is of good quality for the price that they are charging. You dont get a pass to overcharge for frozen food oh, you dont get a pass for serving substandard food for the price you really need to up your game on that. And its pretty rude of our waitress constantly interrupting us for a check during the last stand up comedian I missed the majority of her jokes because of that
I love this place! Always runs smoothly! Great options. I like how they switch the menu up from time to time, including cocktails. Ill be moving away soon but Ill be sure to come back for my favorite acts!!
Cold! Outside in a parking lot...portapotties! So not cool! Slave auction style. False advertising. Did not share where located. Folks were expecting to be inside...we were all surprised. Limited options on food and drinks. Total disappointment!
The show was great. The facility is big but the drinks are very expensive. The Helium Club is not as expensive. The food was fine and I guess those prices are competitive.
Saw Godfrey at Punchline and loved the way the venue accommodated social distancing. It was a comfortable setting, great service, nice ambiance, awesome show. It was a great night!!
Had an amazing time the other night at the Punchline! The management and staff were very accommodating. Seating outside was cozy and 6ft apart! The drinks were made perfectly!
It was nice, I didnt know it was going to be outside. The drinks & food was good, the employees was nice. I had nice experience
As Usual Had A Great Show And Thank You Very Much To Your Outdoor Staff And The Manager For Correcting The Error On My Guest Tixs #ThankYouPunchLinePhilly
This place was fun and enforced social distance I wold go back again!
It was cold the show was funny though and the cheese steak dumplings were good
Punch line is a great venue to catch a comedy show. If available, its definitely worth the extra $10 for reserved seating. The menu is heavy on drinks and the rules require a two drink minimum, not a two item minimum like another comedy club in the city. So that order of chicken wings doesnt count. The cheapest you can get away with the drink minimum is $10 + tip. Yes, as the saying goes tip your waitresses as they do a great job being there when you need something but at the same time not blocking your view or interrupting the show.
Diva Drag Brunch! This was the most fun Ive had in a long time. The drinks at the bar had a kick -- one drink was included in the admission price along with a light brunch menu of about eight selections, i.e. Eggs Benedict, Omelets, Cobb Salad, Grits and Shrimp were a few. Our food came out timely, and everything was hot. The performances were awesome. I will go back to see a different show in the future.
A good place to watch a show. They have a 2drink minimum so be prepared. The parking is a bit vague. They wanted me to pre pay for a free lot & not sure why. The ticket for the show should have been enough plus the 2 over priced drinks. The show was good. I would go back to see another show. The place could use a lil better lighting as well. The food needs to be upgraded. This is Philadelphia we are known to have good food at most places.
Nice and comfortable! Very funny every time
Enjoyed seeing No Such Thing As a Fish here. Though I dont live in Philadelphia, Ill certainly consider going back for other shows. From the moment I walked up to the door, every single employee I interacted with was helpful and friendly. The kind of friendly that felt sincere and welcoming, not the plastered smile, checking the boxes of expected customer service. From the security at the door, the person checking our bags (for free), the bartender, and our server, each of them had a helpful tip for us on our first time there. The bar itself was nice and the outside seating was great to relax and chat while waiting for the Uber to the train. A few of us werent sure if getting a drink at the bar before the doors to the show opened counted towards the 2 drink min. It doesnt, but it was still a nice treat. We were sat very close to the stage which was great! Our server advised buying a double shot in your drink meets the 2 drink requirements. Also worth adding that the great staff there were organized, professional, and worked highly efficiently. Great venue all around
Chairs are pretty uncomfortable, tables are tiny, but staff is great!
First time there. Nice place
Went to see Ms Pat. Loved hey show. Punch line Philly was a nice spot. Prices were very reasonable. Staff excellent.
I was there last night with a guest and the show was great but I never received my drink/food I ordered.Ive been to (2) shows previously and had great experiences with the show and service. The show before last night my service was so amazing I gave the waitress an amazing tip. She serviced me so well I brought my Aunt. So I was disappointed when I invited my Aunt out and her and I along with the couple was distracted the whole night because we were looking for out waitress. She took our orders. I never got the drink I ordered and God only knows what happened to my tacos that the kitchen was supposedly making that I never got. To top it off out check was wrong.
This is a typical comedy club venue but laid out really well, services so so, they do have food and plentiful drinks. Reasonably priced. Just remember every show is a two-drink minimum :-)
Great place with delicious food and fantastic entertainment
Ive been in a really dark place lately. It was nice to get out and laugh until I felt better. Drinks was awesome. Not to many food choices
Went for the Drag Diva Brunch and had a BLAST! The stage and seating area was comfortable, it wasnt too loud, and even though the place was fully sold-out it didnt feel over-crowded. The performers definitely gave it their all, and the tickets included a free mimosa (or bloody Mary) and omelette (or other brunch meal), which was nice. Would definitely go back!
This place was great. Everyone from the host to the headliner were fantastic. There is a 2 item minimum order to consider if youre worried about it, but the show was great and definitely worth it. Its a very well setup place, and their drink prices are pretty competitive for being a private establishment.
I got a free ticket to come here as part of a Yelp Elite event and was still disappointed in my experience. I purchased a discount ticket for a friend to join me. I would never, ever pay full price to come here. 3 of the 5 comedy acts were funny, the other two were decidedly not and the host was not that great either. The good thing about this place is that food comes extremely fast. They must have everything pre-made because within seconds of ordering the food arrived at the table on three different occasions for my group of 6. The service was great in the beginning, then our server disappeared for a while when I needed another drink and re-appeared when it was time to pay the bill. Although I received an email stating that Yelpers would receive 20% off of their entire bill, the server told me it only counted for my portion of the bill, not my friends (even though I was paying the whole thing) then came back and said it was only for food and not for drinks which means only one item would be discounted. Considering that I didnt like the food or drink I ordered (the lemon pepper wings were tiny, hard, and overcooked but had a good flavor) and came only because of this Yelp event, I was very unhappy. I spoke to a manager and they finally agreed to honor the policy that had been sent out in writing. I really like the area that this place is in, but will not be visiting again
The Punch Line Philly was cool. I went to a late show and honestly wish, Id gone to the early show. It was freezing and everyone was outside for at least an extra 40 minutes after the posted time of the show. Just standing in the cold. I wish they had a canopy or something to shield you from the elements. The inside was like most comedy clubs. I bit crowded but all in all, Id go again.
Had a great time! Had good seats and the food was the bomb! This show was an all female comedian line up. My 2nd time and it wont be the last. They opened the mic at the end of the show for anyone to sign up and display their comedy talents. Great staff also.
I would have rated it a 5 if there wasnt a 2 drink minimum. I do not drink anything but ionized water, green tea at most. I think if youre so concerned with making money give option to charge an extra $5 for people like me. Oh and I wasnt hungry... ALSO I wasted $15 on PARKING with TICKETMASTER that was at least 15 minute walk. They should not refer this parking its too far! I did like Michael Yo he was amazing the show was awesome!
Although the venue was okay, we were very disappointed with the experience. We waited until long after the show was supposed to start to be seated. The drinks were horrible and expensive. The food was microwaved and included in the price of our tickets were a meet-and-greet after the show. Complete BS. We got tired of waiting for the comedienne to come out so we could meet and greet him and get a picture. We ended up just leaving the place after waiting for almost an hour. What a rip off. And I especially paid extra to get the VIP treatment and it was all a scam to them. They squeezed us into a table with 4 other people. I mean this table was so small and it was so many people crowded around it that the man from the table next to us elbowed me in the eye by mistake. I will never go to another comedy show like this. What a bad experience because people are greedy.
So I go out to see a show, staff is friendly, venue is absolutely standard. I waited over half an hour for my first drink and got charged $42 for two Bourbons. Im never going back, not because anything bad happened, but because I spent way too much(another $20 to park) to have a forgettable experience. And to top it off we were told we better leave quickly unless we have a VIP pass, so I cant even finish my $20 shot. To be fair, a lot of my mood has to do with how bad Nikki Glaser was.
It was okay. Security guard was really cool and down to earth. Our waitress was nice. It took a really long time for the frozen drinks because they just turned them on when we ordered. We only ordered fries with beer cheese. There was a problem with the bill toward the end. So missed the end of the last act while the manager just argued with us. It was straightened out when it was over. We were told the comedian was asking what was going on while we were talking. The entire show was being filmed. Disappointed in missing the rest of his gig.The crowd was in good spirits. A couple got engaged before the show. The boyfriend sang a song to her at the tables while their friends videoed the moment. It was sweet and romantic. One of the comedians busted on them later about not picking a better place to get engaged. Was told her ring was beautiful, and so was she. The crowd age was between 20s and 60s.Subjects of the comedian script pertained to relationships, politics, race, and gender. All the tension that our country faces today. Had a few giggles and laughs. Some were in poor taste, some were right on mark.Over all the show was good. We tipped the waitress by our first bill, once adjusted, she got the difference. No cameras, cell phones, or recording devices allowed during the show. A woman sitting at out table was accused of having her cellphone on in her lap by security. When her cellphone was sticking out of her purse sitting on the table. It was off.Another distraction during the show. She was falsely accused. My group sat with another 2 groups at the table.Waitress added our bill with another group. It was another inconvenience but we worked it out among us.It would have been a better show all around without the constant disruptions. These comedians work hard to put this show together. Management needs an upgrade to ensure the crowd is at least comfortable and can watch the show. Like it states on their menu. No talking during the show. Will update when I have all the comedian names. Was told one was on the late show on TV.The show itself was organized and they did an excellent job.The only reason for the 4 stars.
Very cool place. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Cool venue. Our headliner was a bit drab but thats not the places fault!!! Everything was great!!
Went here to watch a stand-up comedy show with my friends. And did we have a blast? Apart from the show which BTW was nicely organised and on time. We ordered a couple of flat breads and a wine. And the flat breads were hands-down amazing!!!!! Would definitely go back just for the flat breads again though.Overall, had an amazing experience here!
Seating was good! Ticket prices were great! The food... Eat before you go. The food was not very good so I would suggest dinner before you go. Even the bar food snack items were marginal at best. Service for said food and drinks, was the only thing worse. Maybe it was our server, but it took over 20 minutes to get drink orders, to include water. If you go here, it should be for the show alone. All other aspects of the venue struggle.
My group accidentally got tickets for the wrong show time, the manager adjusted our tickets and let us in to see the show. We were very happy about this because there were 7 in our group and 4 of us are from out of state. The service inside the show was fast and you didnt have to try to flag a waitress down because they frequently checked on us. The food was great, customer service was great and the show was great!!
Food is horrible.. microwaved. And the show was to start at 945 didnt begin until 11pm. Must come up with better time management between shows. Table sharing... just uncomfortable, warehouse, dank feeling.. Can do much much better!!
Went for Schitts Creek Trivia and it was so much fun! Staff is awesome and they have good food and drinks!
Awesome atmosphere! Got there early and enjoyed the bar and outside seating.
Nice venue, good locationFries were cold in the middle (they gave me new ones) food was OK and a little over priced but its a club for shows not really food. Eat before you go and maybr get an appetizer while you drinkChanged to 4.5 stars bc they contacted me to try and make my experience better next time
Very relaxing atmosphere, and overall a really great venue to see a comedy show. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a good time with some laughs! We will definitely be going back there. We did get VIP tickets and were happy with where we were seated, but there is not a bad seat in the place. 5 Stars for Punch Line Philly!
We went to the new year’s show and the main event was pretty funny. The opening acts meh. 2 drink minimum so drink up!
My friends and I met up here before a show at the Fillmore for a few drinks and snacks. The bar was slow and the bartender was happy to have us and provided excellent service and tasty drinks. We ordered some snacks from their bar menu which seemed to take quite a bit of time for it being as slow as it was but it came out hot and did the job (which was to absorb the alcohol!).Tip: You can get your Fillmore tickets stamped so that don’t have to wait in line at the Fillmore for your show which is hella convenient
The attendants were friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant and Marlon Wayans was hilarious!! The menu even catered to those who follow a plant based lifestyle. 5 stars!
Great place for comedy. Not too big, not too tight. They dont allow cell phones or hecklers, which is great! Last night, Turae and David A Arnold were hilarious!
The place was awesone. Good open space, and staff were all great, and very nice. Mrs. Pats show was very funny
Well Run Establishment, I love being pampered, and you suppyMy laugh on, winning combination
Its very welcoming and the people are VERY NICE and they have a church service on Sundays at 10:45
The venue is pretty cool. There is a 2 drink minimum; but, the drinks are absolutely horrible for what they charged. I ordered a margarita, the entire drink consist of sweet and sour.....with a splash of Tequila. Stick with wine....its something they cant mess up. I was disappointed at their wine selections as they didnt have Riesling. Food was ok, seating was a little tight.... Update...went back last month for a show. The seating was a little better as was the food. Drinks were still to be desired.
The ladies and I attended the Hocus Pocyass drag show here. The venue is nice with friendly staff. The food and drinks were good. Bathroom was relatively clean but a little small considering the venue size. The show itself was amazing and we had so much fun! We will definitely be back to see another show there. The only reason I took a star off is that they have GA seating so far on the side of the stage that you couldnt see parts of the show. That proved to be a little disappointing.
I love going to the open mics. Its a great opportunity for local comedians.
Loved this place cant wait to return. Bruce Bruce is very funny. Staff were great and friendly. Nice venue. Nice everything. Security was very friendly and accommodating. A++
Great atmosphere and fun people to hang out with, but was surprised when the venue had a mandatory 2 drink minimum. Just be sure you know about that before you go and youll have a great time!
We came here for a drag show last night and were impressed! The drinks were good and it was a very well organized event. I wish the seating was a little more spread out and the traffic of servers during the show can be bothersome.
Pretty good food, especially for a comedy club. Very spacious and clean, and nice staff. Go on a Wednesday when they have, Really Funny Comedians (Who Happen to Be Women). Its a good time!
The drag show for Saturday brunch was so fun when I went. Food was decent and I really enjoyed the bloody marys i got. They also had slow n low bourbon which was awesome
A little pricey, but the food is good and so is the service. Two drink minimum so I suggest you order drinks straight Seating is good. Dont think there is a bad seat the house. Casual setting.
The staff was great and super courteous! Great place to see a live show!
Outstanding comedy club... not a bad seat in the house. The menu has a good choice of items to choose. Would recommend to family & friends.
Comdey shows are amazing, Tobin was a great promoter and bartender/mixologist.
Nice venue. Parking is challenging but not too bad. Food is okay. Hit or miss on some of the menu items. Be prepared for the two DRINK minimum (not items) per person. This is a nice middle of the week or start to the weekend date or night out with friends.
I never laughed so hard. I had such a great time and the food was good too. Cant beat that.
The place is great. The menu needs to be updated. So there will not be any confusion when ordering food and drinks
Tight space get there 30 minutes early to get a good seat.
Food ok cold fries. Service not good. Security is on top of you cant even check your phone. Check my phone to check on my son. If the tickets werent free I wouldnt come back honestly
Just awesome!! Staff and customer service was on point and polite. The atmosphere was comfortable and down to earth. Our food arrived fast and it was tasty. A little pricey but worth it. Cant wait to go again and laugh some more.
This was a nice cozy comedy club, first time at a comedy clubs and I plan to go back. The comedians made me laugh hysterically. Its a very relaxed atmosphere and a fun place to go.
Really enjoyed seeing Michelle wolf here. Kind of a smaller more intimate space, which I liked! Food was decent and drinks were good, but kind of pricey! Would definitely attend another show here.
Funny & Nikki & The team were great #justcrave #evographx
Great comedy atmosphere! Nice drinks! Horrible burgers! The bun & lettuce was bigger then the burger patty itself. Definitely need to have someone fix that! Great time tho just save your hunger for better! Drink up and laugh!
Great venue, great guests. Two drink minimum policy.
Great clean spacious setting. Not a bad seat in house. Fyi 2 drink minimum
Always a great time at Punchline. The acts change a ton obviously, but I always leave with sore abs from laughing so hard.As with most comedy clubs, there is a two drink minimum per guest, but the prices are reasonable. As far as the food, Ive only had apps, but they have always been yummy. Servers are always on point, too.
A very nice venue, although parking is an issue. It is located right off Delaware Ave at Frankford Ave, a little hard to spot. My daughter and I went to the Drag Diva Brunch on a Saturday for my birthday. It was so much fun! The performances were amazing...so much talent. Most of the crowd was straight. I didnt stop laughing, clapping and singing the entire time!! What great fun!
Went to a wedding held on the premises. I was impressed. The wedding was held on the concrete outside. It was a bit hot but beautiful. The reception was done up nice in the main room.
Good atmosphere, and steady line-up of acts, especially LGBTQ friendly. Food menu and drink menu is what youd expect for a comedy club in terms of options but quality is good. Standard two drink minimum.
It was a big experience for me...i got to Tommy Davis Live for the 1st time. The event was on time, it wasnt crowed at all. The line move fast and the drinks was on point. I would to every Event from here on out.
Had an awesome time. Both openers for Chris Porter and Chris Porter himself put on an amazing show. Definitely will come back again for sure.
I didnt enjoy the show...wasnt funny. Plus, they have a 2 drink minimum. I had 2 drinks and an appetizer. With the tip, my share was $45. Thats a lot for me, and the tickets were $22, so $67 in all...
Comedian Michael Yo was great, very funny. I also really enjoyed the starting comedian Leo Flowers. I would go see another show to see him. Nice atmosphere at Punchline. Will return for sure. There is a two item minimum. For my two items I got hot chocolate and a shot of rumchata to add to my hot chocolate. Hot chocolate was very good.I also got the pineapple apple upside down cake which I wouldnt recommend. Its tiny for the price and was very dry/hard.
The wings arent that great but the French fries are. Entertainment is on point. I really enjoyed myself and I will definitely be back
Great venue. More spacious then it looks but nothing overwhelming. Great staff and friendly bartenders too.
Saw Michelle Wolf and was nervous that our seats wouldn’t be great when we were seated all of the way to the side but really they were great! Attentive staff, easily accessible and clean bathrooms, decent drink prices and a great show. The opener was excellent as well!
We didnt get seated until nearly an hour after the show was supposed to start and they have a ridiculous 2 drink minimum. I enjoyed the performance but as far as punch line goes, ehh Ill pass next time.
