The map and directional board was damaged and I couldnt make heads or tails of it.The homeless was present and a little unnerving. Needs routinely kept and it clearly has not been.

Very enjoyable, the wetland has changed dramatically in the past 30 years and not in a good way. I hope this brings more attention to an already stressed ecosystem, there are some beautiful flora and fauna, even the occasional black bear.

Broken glass, littered plastic, busted board on walkway..it was pretty sketchy. Pretty sure the guy sleeping on the bench is homeless :( but he did not bother us

Could be great but the trail is in a sketchy area. The boardwalk and bridges are new/under-construction but they are spray painted and there is trash strewn about. Such a shame that it is in the state it is but this place is a victim of its location.

It was okay. For some reason I thought it would be a lot bigger and there would be more water. Definitely homeless people living here and some trash along the trail. I wouldn’t come here alone. I thought there would be more to look at.

Would give 5 stars but the boardwalk is not finished and most of the handrails are missing but it was still a good little walk with the kids

Just recently started work near Naval Hospital & was trying to find a place to walk on my lunch break. Was excited when I found this place. Went today on break and was extremely disappointed! Super sketchy area (not safe, especially for women) & the boardwalks closed, restricted area yellow tape everywhere. Parking is just random in grass, mud, sand. I attempted to walk a trail. Wow. Trash everywhere, picnic tables overturned, smells of human feces, and many camp fire ashes at every bench. Come on Escambia Co.! It could be a beautiful place if kept up. Should never had developed if it cannot be maintained. I wouldve taken pics, but I got the heck outta dodge when I saw what looked like a prostitution deal going down. Do not go here.

This will be a great trail once it is finished! We went in January of 2018 and one of the bridges was being worked on so that ended the trail about a mile from where we parked. Dog friendly! 5 stars once it is finished!

I havent taken the whole trail yet, but I enjoyed the boardwalk section from Navy Blvd to the PSC Warrington parking. Looking forward to checking out the remaining sections over the rest of this spring and summer.

Best entrance is at end of Decatur off of Gulf Beach Hwy. Nice wetland with boardwalk along the creek.

Homeless community on site was discouraging for lone visitors.

Apparently under construction, I took the directions right to it and there was nothing but construction and then there was a homeless village....

Unfortunately, the trail is surrounded by Pensacolas highest concentration of HUD housing. Hike at your own risk.

Under construction at this time, but still a nice nature trail.

Not sure why everyone is giving such high reviews... The trail is alright but the area is pretty sketchy. If I am looking to enjoy nature, Id rather pay a couple bucks & drive to Big Lagoon or Tarklin Bayou.

It was a decent trail but the trail is actually under construction and it seems like a new neighborhood is taking over part of the trail.

I thought the wetlands were beautiful and I enjoyed the scenery. I wouldve had a blast in there as a kid and did, in fact, despite my daughters contant whining. However, as already mentioned, portions of the trail are in a not-great area as the top of the boardwalk runs along the Slab (Warrington Village) and we came upon a heavily trashed area that may have been a homeless camp. I would recommend parking at PSC (there are multiple entrances from the campus) and going west. East would take you toward Navy Blvd and the areas mentioned.
