Clean trails leading to gazebos and benches throughout the area. Great place for a jog and there are little piers in the area for fishing. Great spot.
Nice little fishing spots, fun to see the alligators. The trails are awesome for biking or running. Great to have nature conservations so close to home.
It was very peaceful extremely beautiful and full of vegetation and lots of critters. My buddies and I found a cool trail that was practically never ending. The afternoon turned into an adventure. First it was just the buzzing of the mosquitoes and other various insects. After some footwork we found a few random paths that led to even more adventures. We stayed on the straightest path so we would not lose our way. Stumbling upon a large clearing which was guarded by extra large banana spiders. That part of the trip was very exhilarating I practically walked into the same banana spider twice coming and going. Talk about making my heart race. We also found the remnants of an old truck. We did not venture too much further whats the grass begin to get tall again. We decided to go ahead and high tail it back towards civilization. Of course we get back and I realized I dropped something. My buddies werent having so I ventured back into the banana spider kingdom. Only to wander around aimlessly looking for my lost item. Where the banana spiders guarding my treasure? No they werent I just dropped it on the path I found it and headed back to my friends. So it was an awesome adventure journey exercise I enjoyed it. Look forward to seeing you out on the trail .
Great place to get into the outdoors
Great place good for pictures, picnics, kayak, walking, biking.
Nice place to walk
Good blue channel cat fishing here. If your patient its a good place to gar fish.
The family comes here regularly with our canoe/kayaks. Easy access to put in, with ramps on both sides of the bank. Usually not busy at all, maybe one or two other people at most. Good fishing for fun with the kids! If you are up for a trip, go all the way down to clear lake/mud lake or next access at bay area blvd. Good wildlife viewing lots of fish, birds, alligators!
Very good for fishing and a nice trail very relaxing
Cool park to ride through. The paths are maintained well and you dont have to ride on the road.
I noticed a review from Rebecca Hanks that has photos that indicate she fed an Alligator. That is highly illegal and will result in fines if caught. FYI feeding American Alligators in Texas is so stupid and now puts everyone in jeopardy. Alligators that are continually fed by people will approach humans now that put both species at risk. Great place to launch canoes or kayaks from and to WATCH nature.
I loved the trail. It has great views. There is this little mud trail near the bird viewing area that I decided to explore. Im not too sure if its an actual trail or not since it was not paved with gravel like the rest of the trail is. I enjoyed it though.
Nice walking trail. Restrooms are kept stocked and clean
