Its not a big park, but a wonderful excursion none-the-less! Truly enjoyed observing the various marine life in the spring. The observation tower is quite impressive with its handicap/stroller access as well as a stairs option. Nice shelters and great walking paths & boardwalks.

So much trash in landscape. If you see litter, pick up and toss into the many available trash cans. Otherwise, beautiful tranquil, and family friendly location. Large look out tower, piers to watch sunset, playground, pavilions, walking and biking friendly. You may see ducks, turtles, crabs, fish, butterflies, hawks, crows, and sea gulls.

Fascinating park. Apparently it used to be a bathhouse/ spring, used for medicinal purposes. There is little wooden facts you can read around the spring area about the history. The water wasn’t clear this time. This park is nice because it has sidewalks all throughout the “hiking” areas, there is nice boardwalks to view the water ways, and a neat little tower. The bench artwork was also note-worthy.

The view from the top of this three story tower is one of the most majestic views that I have seen in a long time. Im not a metitator, but this is one of the most peaceful places I have ever visited. Highly recommend to anyone that loves peace of mind and the great outdoors!

I really enjoyed watching the sunset here with my kids. There is also a butterfly garden and decent sized playground. It has a nice wooden trail with steel statues all throughout. Plenty of birds, fish, and squirrels to see. As well as plaques with information. My only complaint is the mosquitoes . Should have worn bug spray . There are also several areas where you can grill or have a picnic along the trail with benches and tables. Also 3 piers to walk out on, theyre pretty big and wheelchair/stroller friendly all throughout.

Beautiful park, lots of great scenery views! The tower has been rebuilt and is Open! A suspicious fire destroyed the original tower in 2013.This tower is larger than the old one and features a handicap accessible ramp so everyone can enjoy the views from the top. So the new observation tower at Wall Springs Park is now open, and is the perfect spot for take sunrise and sunset panoramic photos. But the beauty of the Springs itself is a such a relaxing spot to pass the time looking at the flow of the water, sensing the smell of fresh water is a gift right there to enjoyHistory:The property in and around Wall Springs was purchased by Charles F. Wall on February 28, 1884 and remained in his family until May 17, 1927 when the property was sold to Harry W. Davis.Facts & Informationon the Spring:The source of the spring is the Upper Floridian AquiferThe flow varies from zero during drought to a high of 7,405 gallons per minuteDuring periods of high rainfall, as much as 10.7 million gallons of water can flow from the spring in 1 dayThe average water flow is 2,917 gallons per minute or about 4.2 million gallons per dayThe spring water temperature remains at a nearly constant 74 degreesSwimming is not allowed in the spring because of the danger to the ecosystemThe spring became known as Wall Springs during ownership by the Wall family. Once the property was sold to the Davis family, the spring became known as Health Springs and was used as a health spa. When the property was purchased by the Cullen family on February 6, 1948, the spring name changed back to Wall Springs and the area was used as a recreational area until the mid 1960s.The spring and adjoining pond were used as a spa and bathing area from the turn of the 20th century until the mid 1960s.Pinellas County began acquiring the Wall Springs property in 1988, with the initial purchase of approximately 63 acres, which included the spring and surrounding area.Pinellas County has continued toacquire additional property since their initial purchase with the most recent acquisitions in December, 2008 and April, 2009. Wall Springs is now approximately 210 acres in total size.

Like most all the Pinellas county parks this one is first rate. After the original was burned down by arsonists, the new observation tower is better than before and there are four short fishing piers for anglers or just visitors that want to take in the beautiful scenery. The park is also a great destination for bird watchers. The county has purchased the adjacent tract and is currently developing it as an expansion to Wall Springs Park. It includes a recreational trail and should be open to the public soon.

I never knew this park existed until this past weekend! The play structures were great & kept my kids entertained for a long time. Honestly, they would have stayed longer if I had let them. We really enjoyed going for a walk on the paved nature trails. The fishing piers & observation tower provided great views & were the highlight for my toddlers. I love that the whole park has been made accessible to those with special needs. Now I can bring my elderly grandparents on a nature walk with their scooters & they dont have to miss out on the fun with their great-grandchildren. Even the observation tower has the option of steps or a ramp to get to the top--great for wheelchairs, strollers, or people who just have bad knees & cant manage the stairs. We enjoyed this park so much that I made a shelter reservation for my twins birthday in February.

This appears to be a delightful park for young and old! The playground was a busy place, with lots of children enjoying themselves. We were in one of the picnic shelters for a volunteer lunch, and it was great! We had the grill for burgers and hot dogs, with enough picnic tables for everyone to spread out everything they brought to share to eat, and more room to sit and eat. We had a large garbage can and recycling can for our trash and recyclables. The bathrooms were reasonably clean, with toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. At some county parks, we’ve had to bring our own. The toilets also flush themselves.I enjoyed watching the butterflies in the butterfly garden. Some in our party walked the paths, which they said were easy & enjoyable. We will definitely come back to walk, smell the flowers, & enjoy this park.
