This was my 2nd visit here! I brought a newbie and we were both blown away with how amazing our room, Revenge, was. It was interactive and really challenging which is what we love about this room. Our game master Matt was really nice and explained well in detail the instructions for us to “escape” the room. When we escaped, Matt came back to our room and asked if we had any questions about or room we escaped from and we talked about how well put together Revenge was. I highly recommend Mind Trapped to everyone because of the wonderful rooms and the outstanding customer service. I will be back for sure to play more rooms.

This place was great.I cant recall the name of the person who helped us that night (5/17/19) but he was cool, funny and easy to talk to.They have a little game area in the middle of the building where you can sit and hang out before your game which was cool. Me and my friend loved one of the couches they had, so much so that we took a picture to try and find one for ourselves in our apartment We did the Cabin room that they offer. Im not sure why, but I figured it would be scary. It was not. Since we enjoy doing rooms by just the 2 of us, we do love the fact that when you book a room it instantly becomes a private room and no one else can join in. Not having to pay tons of money to be by our selves. LOVE THATThe design and way the puzzles were are so well done. Cant wait to do another room at this Location soon.

It was so AMAZING THE STAFF WAS A1 IT WAS A REASONABLE PRICE FOR 8 people. WE ARE SO SATISFIED THANK YOU SO MUCH WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK ALL 8 of us was so excited and happy. Great place! Did the GameDay with a 12 year old and a 6 year old; used 3 clues and solved it, but was challenging! Staff super friendly! Highly recommend! The puzzles in the lobby are great; and, they are not expensive, so you can take them home to figure them out!

Lots of fun, and we enjoyed how the game master was helpful without being too over-the-top. The clue system was good, so that we could take a closer look at the items we found in the room, without actually being in the room.

Ive played over 100 games. During these uncertain times, we wanted to show support to this industry by playing virtual versions of games. The Mob Informant at Mind Trapped is the 2nd virtual game Ive played during these times and I had a great time. There was plenty to do, the puzzles were fairly straight forward/logical/fun. There were a few surprises and most important for this type of experience, the game master/avatar was very helpful. We look forward to playing here, in person, when the chance arises.

Wow, we did the I guess medium difficulty room. It was challenging and fun. We also used plenty of hints which were given to us as much as we needed. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Great place for a date or a family.

Very disappointed. They rattled off the directions so fast and never once said anything about disability options. Bob is a big man with knee problems and getting down on his hands and knees to crawl out to exit was not a good scenario which you would think they would ask about health at the beginning before going in the room. Things were confusing inside the room, which became frustrating. Without the clues, there is really no way to figure it out. We will not be back and it turned out to not be a good birthday choice. After getting someone to help him get up off the floor and coming out, a lady who was not there before going into the room, explained that had they known, then circumstances could have been worked around. Sorry, but there should have been some kind of notice at the beginning before entering a room, and they need to S L O W down in their explaining so that it can be absorbed. We were there early so there was no rush. We were asked if we had any questions, but if you dont know what to expect (our first and last time), then it is hard to ask questions, especially when you have no idea what he said because he said so much so fast!!!

So there are three rooms. A 3 of 5 star (Mob informant), 4 of 5 star (The Cabin), and 5 of 5 star (Revenge).The four of us hit the easiest of them, Mob Informant. We escaped but needed a few hints to do so. We’ll be back at Christmas time with a couple more people and attempt The Cabin. Then Revenge! Great time held by all.

Mind Trapped is great! My boyfriend and I love doing escape rooms, and have done the Cabin and Revenge rooms at this location. Both were really challenging and innovative! I like rooms with lots of different types of locks and puzzles, and both of these rooms at Mind Trapped had a variety of puzzle components. Creativity with props and decor was great as well. And the employees weve worked with have always been amazing! Cant wait for new rooms to come out so we can try them!

So fun! We had no idea what to expect, but thanks to some clues we started getting the hang of it. It was challenging, but really so much fun. Will definitely do it again!

Weve played over 100 rooms and own a place in Sarasota. Had a blast here. Played with the folks (whove only played 5 rooms). Great challenge, well themed, and everyone did something. From walking in to leaving -- professional and fun.

My group of friends and I have done several escape rooms around town and this is by far one of our favorite places! The ‘Revenge’ room is so well done and very challenging - it’s obvious they put a lot of thought and work into the room. It’s my favorite room I’ve done because there’s a creepy/mild haunted house feel to it. We can’t wait to come back for the ‘Cabin’ one soon!

Its a fun escape room. Very professional looking from the lobby.Escaped from the cabin room with 2 people. It was enjoyable! Mostly locks which is part of why its only 4 stars but it was still an fun time.It is a former mousetrap location I believe from previous photos but definitely an improvement over other locations Ive been. I look forward to seeing what they do since dropping that name.Appreciate the coupons they offer for mid week visits! Ill likely try and make a visit to do the other rooms.

A MUST DO!!! I was going up to Tampa with some family and friends when I tried out this escape room with them, and it was one of my favourite rooms Ive ever did! We did Revenge, and the room itself was great but Id like to start from as soon as we walked in. The environment was very clean and there were puzzles for us to play with, and a locker to put our stuff as well as the bathrooms were spotless as well (A MUST!). The staff greeted us with open arms and smiles and really made us feel like we were at home or meeting up with an old friend. They explained thoroughly of what our adventure was like and since were enthusiasts, we asked SO many questions that they were happy to answer to. (Even if youre first timers, ask ANYTHING you can think of!). There was even a video for us to see the backstory to our room that gave us some rules and clues for us to look around with. The room itself was designed beautifully. There were details everywhere and puzzles Ive never seen before. It was so cool! We did need a little nudge here and there but the gamemaster was informative and friendly that we soon understood what he meant when doing the puzzles. The flow of the room worked well with the story line and the types of puzzles immediately given; and I really liked the theme and interior decor as well. We did escape (YAY) and it was so exciting and thrilling at the end (I cant spoil it) that I want to see what the other rooms were like! Definitely will come back if we make that trip up again. In summary, it is a very cool place to have a family outing or for even a birthday; its well-run, and the staff is very accommodating to our needs and the room itself was spectacular!

I have done two rooms at this location so far; Cabin and Mob Informant both rooms that are very well done. My friend and I both enjoy the set up of the rooms and how the next find is presented.Both times we’ve had our amazing Game Master be Matt! Matt is great and funny and we hope he is there when we take on the new up and coming room Revenge!

Fun game; while I wish there had been a little bit more creativity with the puzzle (all but one clue was solving locks), the storyline was great!

Our game guide was very informative and helpful before we got started. The room experience is top notch! Between the puzzles and high tech clues we were amazed at all the different things to do to get out of the room. We went for my sons 11th birthday he and his friends loved it! I would highly recommend this escape room for the experience and the friendly staff. Mind Trapped Escape Room is very well put together inside and very clean!!

None of us had ever done this before. Matt our guide was awesome &Let us go at our own pace. We did awesome. He gave us our 3 clues only at 48 minutes into the game. We escaped with 1.3 seconds to spare. What great fun. Recommend all ages to try. Loved it & cant wait to go back again!!!

We are escape room enthusiasts and not only were we psyched to find an escape room right in Palm Harbor but our experience here was right up there with our favorite rooms and it would have been worth it to travel far to get here. Sometimes just-opened escape rooms need some time to work out problem areas of puzzles before they really get good, but as Mouse Trap is part of a group of escape businesses, theyve come out of the gate with a great set up and all the kinks worked out.We did the cabin in the woods and were delighted by the atmosphere, which really put us in the mood. The puzzles were well thought-out, challenging and, most importantly, fun!For the part that can really make or break an escape room--the Game Master--Mouse Trap went above and beyond. It was obvious our GM cared and helped us when needed but not so much that we didnt have to work hard. We were 2 people in a 6-person room, so when we ran into trouble during one of the last puzzles we were very low on time. Since there was a buffer between us and the next group in our room, our GM added a little time to our clock to let us finish. This wont always be possible once Mouse Trap gets really busy (which Im sure they will since theyre awesome) but it really made our day to feel like we solved the room on our own instead of being rushed out. You can tell that the people who work here are passionate about giving everyone a great time.Ambience 5/5, Puzzles 5/5, Staff 5/5. If youre thinking of going, do! You wont regret it!

It was great finding one in this location, everything about it was amazing. We did the Cabin, and it was such a fun time. For it being only us four in there, I would say we did a pretty good job. Having previously ventured into a different highly recommended local escape room and finishing three-for-three in what are to be considered pretty difficult rooms, I figured Mind Trapped would be a piece of cake. We plunged into the room with full confidence and were immediately met with dozens of challenging puzzles. It took the entire team to formulate and gather and piece together clues and extrapolate information to make it from room to room and eventually escape.I found that there is no way to make a comparison to the other local escape room facility because the adventures are so different for each. I would say that having multiroom puzzles to work on made the overall experience feel a bit more challenging and fun.Christine opened early for our company party of 11 coworkers split over two rooms. She is incredibly friendly and helpful and didnt even mind that I broke one of her puzzles in the waiting room. (sorry I was so clumsy!) To put things in perspective on the level of difficulty we finished only nine seconds ahead of our coworkers with 11 and 2 seconds to spare respectively.I cant wait to go back and try the other rooms. I would highly recommend gathering some friends or family or even coworkers and going to Mind Trapped Escape Room in Palm Harbor.

UPDATE: Finally got back to complete the final two available rooms. I have done well over 40 rooms and THE CABIN is literally one of the most engrossing rooms visually that I have ever seen. I literally felt like I was in the woods. It was an amazing design.Did Uncle Bob’s Final Farewell. Room design is engrossing and well laid out. Nice variety of lock types other than the standard four number combination. Good two and four person room. Has a huge lobby that is comfortable and an events room. Clean, roomy, and worth a trip back to do the other rooms. The Mousetrap brand is quickly becoming recognizable and I have seen consistent passion in the owners and rooms at the three locations I have been in.

Mind trap is a great place! The owners are top notch! They put so much effort into their rooms and customer service. Once you do one room you will want to go back and do more rooms there. Go visit there amazing establishment! :)

The Cabin was very enjoyable; the clues were not horribly obtuse. There were five of us and we were out in almost 50 minutes - the last clue was a lucky hit for speed. I recommended this to my daughter for her and her friends.

Went with my daughter and nephew and tried the cabin. We had so much fun! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt the clues were well written and logical. I also thought the room was very well decorated. We left talking about which room we are going to try next. Looking forward to another round!

We pre-paid and booked for Saturday but then needed to change to Sunday. The lady we spoke to on the phone was EXTREMELY rude. They also charged full price for the two 7 year olds in our group. Turned me off completely! We decided to give it a go even though were treated rudely. The young man who welcomed us was very pleasant and helpful. The “family friendly” escape room was disappointing. Lots of basic locker locks and very minimal effects. Not much to it actually. I’ve been to several other escape room establishments that blow this place away. Save your money and choose a friendly and well put together escape room.

Our game master Matt was awesome!!! We booked the Cabin and had so much fun that we booked the Mob room later on for the same day! These rooms are great to look at visually and have great locks/clues that I haven’t seen at other escape rooms before. Can’t wait to come back to tried the other rooms :) -Jackie
