Great park with lots of mature trees and great scenery. You can fish off the sea wall, have a family picnic, take a walk on the trails or just relax anywhere you choose! It’s also a pupil at place for horse enthusiasts and has an equestrian camp ground!Has all the amenities needed for a family day out including clean restrooms.Don’t forget to tour all of the old buildings on the grounds including the princesses lodge and Florida’s first ever in ground swimming pool.
A truly beautiful and unique park. The cabins are wonderful with comfy beds. Also very clean and well stocked.. The Rangers are so friendly and knowledgeable. I love that place! Cant wait to go back.
Beautiful park only a half hour south of St Augustine. Gorgeous old oaks, along a winding river. Deer all over the place. Only a handful of campsites. No electric or sewer. You can rent picnic pavilions too. Horse camping and group camping. Only primitive though.
This place was AWESOME. I came down from Effingham Illinois to visit my son and his family. I had a blast here.
This is an amazing property, lots of open spaces, trails including handicap accessible, historical significance, water views, shaded areas for picnics and a lot more. There is no playground for my kids, but they had a great time anyway.
Love it, so peaceful, even ticks didnt spoil the feeling. Wish they wouldnt close at 6 PM in a summer but guys practically hunt you down at 5:30 PM. And close some parts of the park way too early. Why? They live on the property, its not like their commute is long.
This place is BEAUTIFUL!! My wedding was held at Princess Place on 4/28/18. Everyone was extremely easy to work with. The place is kept perfect year round. I’ve visited several times since and it’s always the same. I would definitely have more events here. I plan on staying in the cabins out there and will provide an update for that later.
Beautiful property on the water, old oaks with hanging moss makes perfect for a picnic or a walk
Beautiful historical home and buildings. The location has nice trails and views. Nice tour give wom on Fri, Sat and Sun.
This is such a gem of a location! We absolutely love to Camp here and if youre lucky enough to get a spot youll never want to camp anywhere else. We got to spend time this weekend at the powwow and had an amazing experience. They did an awesome job on the programs and it felt very authentic and beautiful.
County staff and Rangers are very nice. Place is very well kept and managed.
We took a tour of the lodge and it was pretty cool. Knowledgeable and friendly guide. Lovely place to visit.
Very interesting, didnt even know this place existed. Will tell friends and will go back when the rangers are working to get the tour. They have hiking trails, camp sites and cabins. Right on the intracoastal so bring your kayak!
My wife and I spent 3 days and two nights in cabin number two for our anniversary. We absolutely loved it. Very clean and well stocked, modern appliance, and you cant ask for a more peaceful setting. The only sound was the birds and the breeze. A little slice of heaven!
Beautiful untouched preserve. Makes you feel free from the chaos were living in and brings you to a peaceful place mentally and physically!
Its beautiful even on a regular trip. This time went for the native american festival / pow wow. Had an amazing time.
Beautiful place to get away?
Beautiful scenery, great cottages and primitive camping.
Absolutely beautiful, I could send a week there.
My family and I come here often, even if it’s just to take a drive so the kids will nap. It’s a truly beautiful place to walk, fish or camp at. I highly recommend taking one of the lodge tours and seeing inside the beautiful, historic home. I haven’t stayed in the new cabins, yet, but I do suggest the moody cut campsite for anyone wanting to camp in a tent
No matter the event or just want to go see Princess place, its beautiful and so serene. Well worth It!
We had a blast and we love it!!
Magnificent Flagler County funded preserve and park. Historic must see!
Lovely place. Well kept, clean. Some areas were closed due the Corona virus
Beautiful park with fishing, trails and historical sites
One of the best maintained parks/preserves Ive visited. I have been visiting Princess Place for almost 20 years and it keeps getting better.
Awesome place to explore and enjoy. I honestly didnt realize we had such a gem so close to Palm Coast. Beautiful views and trails. Places to picnic. Places for horses. Camping, canoeing. If you plan on hiking the trails, some are through swamp areas bring bug spray. Come enjoy it!
Very interesting historical location. Be aware that the ranger-led extensive tour is done ONLY at 2PM each day. Surprising information on the uses of the property and its strategic location.
Very well maintained grounds, too bad there is no sandy beach where you could land a kayak !!!
Very pretty place. Vast grounds for many different activities including hiking trails, fishing, kayaking and equestrian trails to name a few.
We checked out the Pow wow situation on February 22, 2020 and it was cool. Some things were over priced but they had beautiful things there. They let people join in on dances and that was nice. The food wasnt great and was definitely over priced but if your hungry after walking around all day it doesnt even matter at that point lol. Five stars for the cool experience positive vibes not including the food at all.
Native American Festival today. AWESOME!!! Only place I found these gorgeous blankets. Bought 2 two years ago. My kids call them their forever blankets. They are made very well. Each side is a different color w/ pattern.Had to get 2 more today. Theyll be in plant city next 2 weekends with more colors.
I spent time there this morning with 10 grandchildren (ages 1 to 11 yrs old). It was a wonderful time. Open areas to run around, picnic areas and an employee, Justin Marine, who shared the history of Princess Place Preserve. His information was very interesting to all of us and he was able to keep the grandchildren engaged thru the entire presentation.
Great place to explore and hike. Beautiful water views and the lodge is so quaint.
Had a great time at the Native American Pow Wow Festival... cultural, educational, and an enlightening experience to know more about these cultures.
Princess Place Preserve is one of Northeast Floridas true gems. It you are ever nearby dont miss it. The preserve is located just south of St. Augustine Florida, not far from the intersection of U.S. 1 and I-95.The original name for this area was Cherokee Grove. The King of Spain granted the land to Francisco Pellicer in 1791.
I can not reccomend this place enough. First come first serve camping, but if youre lucky enough to score a spot, it is amazing. Primitive camping on the Dock Sites are great and the VIEW! WE WILL BE BACK!
Love this place, very peaceful 1500 acres, horse riding, kayaking, camping, free tour
Im here every day.... Enough said. :)
If your not local, dont go and spoil our hidden treasure
We had so much fun during the event big area nice vendors very beautiful place
Good hiking. Lots of wildlife.
Great place. They have an annual Native American festival that is always enjoyable mid feb. other than that, it’s a cool historic location and worth the trip lots of flora and fauna on top of the history
Gorgeous preserve, we were there for a wedding. It was the first time Id been and loved the long drive back into the area. We diverted down one path that had an eagle nesting area, we didnt see anything at the time. we were right on the water for the wedding and wouldnt reccommend it for outside events when its 50 degrees, but it was a great venue and would love to go again maybe for camping.
Old Florida hidden gem! Simply incredible. Gorgeous natural grounds! Great for walking trails, horse trails, fishing, kayaking, crabbing, camping (even has campsites to board your horses next to you), cabin rentals, group camping areas (i.e. for Scouting groups), grilling, historical buildings and history to read, bird watching, wildlife viewing, and a variety of festivals throughout the year. Be aware that the ticks are prevalent certain times of year and the road in is a long dirt road. The person that gave the 2 star review saying there is nothing to do here must not know how to enjoy nature and must be expecting someone to entertain them. There is a TON to see and do here! If you are the type that has to have constant stimulation, then wait to visit during a festival. Otherwise, enjoy the open space and tranquility that is abundant on a daily basis during the rest of year.
Gorgeous views and humbling get away. Ive been to many festivals here but recently I attended a wedding. It was so private and romantic and I dont know why I didnt plan my own nuptials here. Lots of history for the children to experience.
Beautiful, pristine place to enjoy wildlife and water
Came to the park on a Monday and had the whole place to myself! Its definitely worth the trip! The views are amazing and plenty of places to ride your bicycle. There is one trail that if you have a family member in a wheelchair it is paved. Dont forget to sit on the front porch of the house where the princess lived. Plenty of rocking chairs to go around. It started sprinkling so it was easy to place yourself in the early times just overlooking the lake wondering whats for dinner. If you have a horse you need to bring it here! Plenty of covered trees trails to ride and dont forget you can rent a canoe. I will definitely be back and bring my friends
Amazing, wonderful, beauty piece of paradise!!!
It was absolutely beautiful here. We came for the 6th Annual Flagler County Native American Festival. The facility was well prepared for the amount of people who attended the Festival. The festivities were beautifully presented and it was family friendly.
Great place to picnic, hike, see some history.
Big,,,we had a good hike
One of my favorite places to camp in all FL! I live in Orlando, so a bit far for a day trip for me, but lots of activities available here. Nice Sandy roads to walk, tons of water to fish, great bicycling. Love the covered bridge. These camp sites are ginormous!!!! Literally the best camping in Florida if you are camping out of a vehicle
Love this place! Beautiful and Historical
I really enjoyed my visit to Princess Place. It is situated on a beautiful piece of property right next to the river. Very interesting architecture and construction. Really enjoyed the story of how it was built and by whom and how the princess became the owner. Also its pretty cool that this is the first in ground spring-fed pool in the state of Florida!
Nice place to hike and explore
So well maintained and a beautiful place to take pictures all of my families pictures have been taken there for the last 4 years!
Loved it. So did my dogs...
By far the best place in flagler county
Absolutely beautiful, came for the Native American festival and cant wait to come back and camp! Saw some amazing wildlife as well!
Peaceful, beautiful and well maintainedAny out of town visitors are taken there to show the beauty of real Florida.Wildlife abounds. Many nature trails, camping, equestrian trails, picnic tables. One of the trails is paved for wheelchair access.Fishing, a covered bridgeAll FREE.
Had a great time at pow wow
What happened to the fishing pier? That was one of my favorite things to do was take a walk on the pier. And even wet a line now and then
We went to the Native American festival here. Beautiful place and we totally enjoyed the storytelling, flute playing and the dancing.
Very nice place. For walk, picnic, activities. Always clean, nice property with history.
Fun place for the kids especially when there is a event.
Guided historical tour was very informative. Exterior walls mage from sea shells mixed with a concrete slurry and grout lines imitating building blocks added after installation of walls.
I rarely give 5 stars but this place is worth it. Beautiful grounds and its FREE! Beautiful waterfront views. Bird watching galore. Awesome place to picnic and hike. Wonderful, natural Florida steeped in history. Cant wait for next vacation to return
Very peaceful and quiet.... amazing place to take pics.... we took senior pics there
Love this place is beautiful ! I could camp here forever if I could. Didnt know about this place till family member brought me here. The new cottages are awesome and nice and cant wait to rent them out !!!
Has cabins you can rent. The park is so quiet and they have tours
Lots of walking trails quiet
The Indainn Pow Wow was fun would do it again
I loved this piece of old Florida history. Tour Guide was friendly and put up with my behind the scenes opening and fiddling with everything tour. Plus: First inground swimming pool in Florida. Go, take a picnic, and enjoy.
Its absolutely gorgeous!!! Plus you can walk around and check out some amazing old building and it also has the oldest artisan pool
It is absolutely beautiful out there. Good for any kind of family fun.
I absolutely love this place. Its well worth the visit. They also have camp sites and cabins that can be rented. It is beautiful.
I attended the Annual Creekside Festival for the first time. The preserve is absolutely beautiful and well kept. I will be visiting soon to do more in-depth exploring!
Beautiful great place to have a family day and enjoy the breathtaking Florida nature.
Beautiful place
Beautiful and peaceful. Hiking or horse back. A gem!
Beautiful and quite. Make sure to stop by the bridge for a scenic view and take some gorgeous photos.
One of the best places to fish
If you like history and nature be sure to make a stop here. Set really far back off the road but worth the drive.
Great place to kayak, and watch the wildlife.
How can you not love this place. Car, motorcycle, bike will get you there. Be on the lookout for eagles, box turtles, ospreys, etc. Great place to lounge about and get away for a while. Dont plan on using your cell phone out there as reception is poor at best, but in my opinion, put it away and use it only as a camera. Watch the mullet jump around, go fishing, rent a kayak, go camping, bring your horse (yes, your horse). Take a look at history and old Florida, the way it used to be. Its right at your back door. Best of all, it costs nothing to get in...
Beautiful preserve, walking trails, everyone should see this place!
Awesome place.
A wonderful spot, a true sense that you are in Real Florida. The Rangers were so kind, helpful & welcoming. We had the ABSOLUTE PRIVILEGE of staying at the Moody Cut campsite. Genuinely the most beautiful place I have ever stayed.
Beautiful property
