Perfection under tropical blue skies. Nice seeing respectful visitors all with masks enjoying what us locals take for granted. The blue skies today were a serious kick up the butt enjoy your own back yard! Not sure what status Beach House is at but best quality and value food with a view in PG/Monterey!
I had never been this fabulous ocean views area before when I lived in Bay Area. Accidentally, went through Monterey and found out this hidden gem (at least to me). I personally think this should be the extra mile of the famous 17 miles drive. I definitely will stay here one night when I return in the future to fully explore all these magnificent beaches & ocean views of Pacific Grove.
Nice spot but be little careful on those rocks before posing for a camera! Parking can be a issue here but watching a sunset will take away all fatigue if you have to park little far. Park is well maintained. Theres volleyball net & picnic area. A small beach with big waves perfect for surfers! Lots of benches to sit & relax while kids run around! This can be a great spot for wedding photography as well as long as you can beat the crowd!
If you’re in the Monterey area, this is such a great place to check out. This was my first trip to California and it was in May. So it was a little chilly outside, but at least I can say I’ve been in the Pacific ocean now! Haha. There’s tons of great places to eat right around here and I even saw a couple of sea otters and some seals. Which was super cool! Everyone that I met was really friendly and I hope I get a chance to visit this area again!
Awesome place, great views and beach access. The water hardly had any waves which is great for kids and just a good place to swim in which makes sense seeing all the snorkel and scuba divers swimming out from here. The rocks are cool to climb and explore as long as youre careful and watch your footing.
Its a point that visitors will definitely fall in love with. The view is just breath taking and the park is well maintained. Must visit place.
Friendly atmosphere beautiful sights especially the ladies sorry not sorry. All in great place plenty of parking and clean fresh air.
What a treasure in Pacific Grove! I love crawling around on the rocks on a sunny morning. Just beautiful!
29 years ago I was the best man at my friends wedding. Nice place for photos opp.
Great place for exploring, playing in the water, or snorkeling! We snorkeled here and it was so much better than San Carlos Beach
Great place for all ages. The water is still and shallow making it easy to have your kids or pets play, learn snorkeling/scuba or simply relax by the beach. Can’t wait to go again
Always a tourist destination to represent all that is wonderful about Monterey. The place is so pretty, basically all the tourists have to come here to indicate that they have visited Monterey. Try the secluded beach thats hidden from the popular park and the big beach, this is where you will find amazing tide pools and wild life aplenty.
Its a special place w/ various sized-rocks and a nicely textured sand beach! There are great views & spectacular scenery! You can find interesting shells, stones & coral :)
Beautiful had the most amazing view got to see some super clean and clear water with some boats and swimmers . It was just perfect. Everyone had masks and seemed spread apart
Excellent maintained park with beautiful views and climbing on coastal rocks and walking/biking areas. Lots of birds and squirrels or similar, very friendly. Plenty benches and picnic tables and grills for bbq. Bike rental nearby. Gorgeous moonrises and view of Monterey Bay.
This is one of my favorite beaches to visit when I come to Monterey. The beauty of lovers point is breathtaking! Its a great place to bring my kids to get their toes wet in the sand and chase the waves. My almost 3 year(34 month)old daughter loves it so much that she has a meltdown everytime we have to leave!
Gorgeous scenery!! Colorful beach atmosphere. There’s a lovely trail walk besides the magnificent beach. It’s so much dreamy to walk leisurely while watching the awesome waves in the Pacific Ocean. In spring there were pretty pink little wildflowers everywhere near the trail. Those were adding a special beauty to the beach scenery. Kissing rocks and the crashing waves, are just surreal to sit and watch. Great !!
First time Ive been here when it wasnt over crowded. The down fall, not all of the shops and restaurants are open.
BEAUTIFUL COASTLINE ! My wife and I were riding our bikes up and down the incredible bike path beside the ocean front that runs for many miles ...through Pacific Grove, Monterey, Seaside, Marina. Lots of photo ops at places like Lovers Point Park. We had a fun time !
Water is so calm. Perfect for your little ones to enjoy the water. Clear water but cold.
Very very busy all year round. Beautiful views. Restaurant and bathrooms on site. Not a lot of parking.
It was such a lovely day! The beautiful water and scenery. With all of the fires it was great to sit by the ocean and and just breathe! As we were leaving we heard on the radio that a fire had broke out there. Praying for our world
Gorgeous place to go! Absolutely stunning! During the afternoon they stop letting you in tho, but usually if you just drive in there are open parking spots. Not saying you should do that!
What a beautiful walk I had around this park with me friend. Beautiful scenery and views to die for!
Great place. A little packed on Saturday, but still fun. We saw some dolphins not far off the shore.
Very nice and romantic drive along the beautiful California coast line. Many places to stop a linger for a while. Lovers point park is a must stop. Good, and easy access to the beach, many park benches to seat and enjoy the ocean. Plan to stay and treats yourself to the gorgeous sunset. Then come back in town for dinner.
A lovely stop on our trek through the national parks in the area. Monterey is the perfect little spot to have a nice romantic evening out
Really beautiful views here. Came during sunset and saw a seal in the water. So pretty..
Best spot to come if you want to avoid crowds during pandemic if you come early before 1pm for an early walk by the many beach access points, variety of plants, kid friendly beaches; clean restrooms with no contact entryway by cafe, and beautiful park by the ocean teaming with wildlife and crashing waves. Watch out for the fat squirrels
Gorgeous place for a picnicJust watch out for the aggressive seagulls
Such a beautiful beach. Perfect place to have a stroll and picnic. There’s plenty of parking by the streets.
Awesome awesome awesome is all I can say. This place was great and romantic I went with my husband and we had a great time the views were beautiful and everyone seemed to be in a great mood it was a wonderful experience!
Great beach to stroll around and enjoy the beautiful waters here. Setting up a beach camp here is probably not advised as this spot has a lot of foot traffic and tourists.
Very beautiful place, very interesting wildlife. All around 5 stars.. Thing is there were “DON’T FEED THE ANIMALS” signs posted around and I saw at least 3 people/families giving bread loafs or other food to the animals. This really made me mad. To say about the businesses around a lady told me and my family not to bike on the curb/sidewalk, I understand this but the park is in the path of a large biking road. There was a sign I would have seen several times that says no bikes on sidewalk but it was hidden behind a tree I did love this closer to the sidewalk and had a small fit about this.
Super cute place! Be careful, those rocks can be dangerous, so watch your little ones. But there’s great places to picnic and the views are gorgeous!
Yes, you can on rare occasion see whales near the point even without binoculars. Great place to walk, read, paint, bike ride, swim, or just people watch.
Is a place special, relax and romantic.
It is a nice relaxing spot to enjoy the ocean, but some people are destroying the beauty of that space throwing trash around
Beautiful beach - clear water. Recommend visiting earlier in day during early week. Weekends are crowded. Definitely rent an electric bike- you wont regret it- cool down on the beach after the ride!
Great sea view !
A beautiful scenic location found at the edge of the Monterey Peninsula. Most worthy visit as its open & free to the public.
Beautiful park, great views, paths to walk near the water and restaurants and shops nearby too.
Plenty of birds and overly friendly squirrels. Seagulls are a bit overfriendly too. Sea otters or sea lions not around. Beautiful coastline views.
Very nice place for the family to spend some time in one of the most scenic places in Pacific Grove. Also, a great place to take beautiful photos of the beach and the ocean. Parking is not that big of a problem here as you can easily find a free spot in the street.
Its probably one of the most beautiful places in the world. I would give it more stars!
Perfect for kids. Calm water and white sand. Some rock pools during high tide
This looks like a great spot to spend a weekend afternoon at. sadly, we visited during CoViD and werent really able to enjoy the full park because a portion was closed off. there were still a fair amount of people running around and having fun though.
Noticed some new business taking over the old lattitudes restaurant, cant tell what it is, windows were all covered, and they added a parkinglot in back. Beachouse was packed out on street and upstairs, on their outdoor covered balcony, it was the evening, so it was really dark, but lots of people sitting on the beach and airrounding areas
A beautiful beach and park with places to park and enough space to really enjoy it all. Not as crowded as I might have expected. Lots of nearby motels and restaurants, and the goofiest squirrels youll ever meet. Worth a trip for the views and photography!
The park was great. My kids enjoyed climbing on the rocks and walking along the path. Its also a great place to play Pokemon Go. We will definitely be going back.
Good spot to clear your mind are there is a nice bike trail definitely worthy checking out your can spot seals, its a perfect spot for enjoying the sun down
My husband and I loved it it was our anniversary nice family atmosphere beautiful scenery I couldnt ask for more
Somewhat crowded, so beautiful. Aggressive squirrels, used to people feeding them even though there is a sign that clearly states that its prohibited .
Intimate area. Not alot of parking.
“i met her at lovers park one rainy april monday, smiling soft and warm as on a clear december sunday, wearing taffeta and lace that matched her braided hair with their coraled beads that sang to me”
This is the reason Californians love the state and others still come here - its so beautiful!
I loved this place but the city or county should have outdoors showers to rinse the sand off
Beautiful place it was my first time being there and, it was Gorgeous I took a lot of selfies. I definitely want to go back.
One of most beautiful parks Ive every spent time in. Of course, not all parks have the Pacific Ocean as their backdrop. Spent the sunset here and its a memory I will cherish. Accessible beach with the bluest water.
Great family beach. Small and 2 hour street parking. Grassy area w picnic area for bbq is also as great feature. June and July have had nice weather.
There was a STRONG oder of urine, but there was also a kids group there that day. Beyond that, its a cute park. Decently clean. The squirrels are pretty aggressive since theyre being fed by tourists. My favorite part were the well manicures trees.
Nice spot to explore the sea life along the rocky shore!
Great romantic place to sit and sip on your favorite coffee while watching the sunrise.
Very beautiful place. There is a trail along the ocean with beautiful views. And just 15-20 minutes walk to Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Natural beauty... Amazing view of the entire bay from the point.
Such a nice place to walk and bike.
Beautiful park. Great scenery. Great for lying in the grass.
The water was clear and warmer than other times. It was over cast in the morning but around 11 it cleared up, enough that I got a big sun burn. The little beach itself is gorgeous, small little area to hang out for the day. I was there for the Feast of Lanterns and it packed up really quick. Other than that its a great relaxing location and you can walk to the aquarium or take a bike.
Plenty of paths and stairs to go down to the water. Perfect length for people of moderate fitness. Plenty of parking.
Love the serenity and tranquility of this place. The beauty is unreal
Always a wonderful trip. Even with Covid there were a lot of people. So 4
Beautiful spot. The color of the water is incredible
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Will definitely be a spot I visit everytime Im in the area. Breath of fresh air and the view gorgeous. I believe everyone that was there was in aww just like me. Its like a trip to another world. Just Beautiful
Very pretty place to relax and watch the ocean. You can walk along the walking path and take pretty pictures, or sit on the rocks or benches and just look out over the ocean. Theres a little park and a little bit of beach access, which is pretty fun. Theres lots of plants along the walking paths which make for lovely photos. I can definitely see why they call it Lovers Point, it really would be a lovely place to go on a date outside ♡ Theres street parking and is close to town (Pacific Grove main streets are a few blocks away).
Its a great place to get off and strech your legs. Nice oceanfront property, with a few amenities available. Not sure if the park is dog friendly, but i had mine and didnt have anyone tell me anything.
Peaceful landscaped park. Views are fantastic!
Beautiful place. It’s got everything - a nice beach, beautiful views, rocky coast, nice coffee shop, restrooms and a burger joint. Can park on the street or easily bike all the way from downtown.
Awesome. Beautiful. Great bike paths. Breathtaking views. Portable potties. Outside grill with good food and picnic seating.
Absolutely adored this area! Great beach access and much fun watching the adorable squirrels! A must see! Some cafes nearby, open from 9-4p, you need a bite. The squirrels are very friendly, but don’t feed them.
What a gorgeous surprise that awaited me here! This park has a little bit of everything. Youve got some rocks to climb on, a nice sandy beach to dig your toes into, picnic tables to eat on, lots of grass to lay on, and the views - wow. Plenty of beautiful ocean to check out. Now, I do expect a place like this to get crowded during the busier summer months with perfect weather, but it was a great little evening escape as the sun was starting to set. Parking could potentially be a challenge during the busier season as well, however, it was hard to find anything I didnt like about this place.
Really beautiful area with some great rocks to climb around and see the wonderful views of the ocean, also plenty of very friendly squirrels in the area.It also has a very nice geocaching spot and the area around it has plenty of great ones if youre into that
Lovely promenade for taking long walks next to the beautiful sea.
Love the clear water. The only bad thing is that on the weekends its super packed.
This is a nice place to climb the rocks, watch the waves, feed the squirrels, go swimming on the beach, watch the Sun go down, take a walk on the beach, and met people of all walks of life.
Lovely indeed! Calm and beautiful! ️
Beautiful view, and excellent start and end point for a walk.
We rented two single person kayaks and paddled over to Otter Cove. ($20 per hour for the first hour, $10 per hour for the second, total of $60 for two kayaks out for two hours - very fair rate) The views were gorgeous, and Monterey Bay is just teeming with aquatic life. We saw birds, some seals, and came across a group of about 8 otters in the kelp. Of course, we kept our distance so we didnt disturb them, but occasionally, they surfaced pretty close to the kayaks. Its a beautiful place to spend the afternoon appreciating the wildlife. Just make sure you confirm where you can and cant go. Some beaches in Monterey come with hefty fines if you land on them without permission. Thankfully, the rental shop was very knowledgable and gave us a clear understanding of that.
Yes, you must go there. Marvel, climb those rocks, take all the pictures, squeak when you spot the first ground squirrel, then realise theres dozens around, sigh at all that beauty, thank me later. Dont forget time, youre only allowed to park for 2hrs at a time. Now get back in the car and continue the jaw-dropping sightseeing along the 17mile Drive - youre welcome. Yes, more squirrels too!
Clean, great family fun, nice place to swim. Nice beach front. Coffe shop, grassy area for picnics and great diving.
Its a great place to go for a walk. May it be with someone like gf or friends, or even by yourself. Love hearing and smelling the ocean. Its a must to simply cruise on by and park and take it all in.
Quick bike ride from Monterey Aquarium. Beautiful beach.
Very nice, not crowded, easilly accessible. Its a chain of similar beaches, going along the coast.
