I loved it. We butterfly garden and had so many monarchs that our milkweed was totally eaten to stalks only and we still had 8 big caterpillars so I needed milkweed and wanted purple passion vine as well. We loved the butterfly encounter. My first visit there and we will be back . Thank you so much

Spent over an hour just walking around enjoying the greenery. So much to choose from! Very friendly staff. They sell their own potting mix. Don’t waste time and money on these chain garden centers. This local plant nursery and butterfly garden is such a better option.

This is a very large nursery. I love the variety of butterfly plants. Not sure about the prices compared to other nurseries. It is a nice place to wander around when the weather is nice.

Very large selection of healthy plants and potted flowers - best I’ve seen so far. I appreciated their awesome customer service too. I had rushed in today 10 minutes before 530 from work and bought 22 one gallon pentas plants with no problems. I was even offered by the cashier paper to lay down in my car (they have a big convenient roll of it outside - how thoughtful!). She also asked if I needed any dirt etc which was thoughtful. A young man even saw I was putting the pots away in my trunk and came up to ask me if I would like some help! You don’t see customer service like that anymore. Their quality shows! Thanks again!

My wife and I are re-landscaping our front yard and took our plan to purchase around 120 plants to Lukas for help. We met Zack at customer service and he walked us through each selection, the pros, cons, pruning and fertilizer needs for each. He then offered to pull our order for us which gave us time to go and rent a trailer to haul it all home. We returned a couple of hours later and our whole order was pulled, with each one looking like the perfect specimen. Thanks to the great people at Lukas for all their help, especially Zack!

Awesome nursery, friendly staff, with everything you could think of! Wife loves this place, and would say its more of an experience than going to somewhere like Leu gardens. We didnt do the butterfly tour but I did as a kid it was awesome back then, probably still is now. Whether your a big company or want a peaceful place to walk and buy plants for a 3rd of the price than you can get them in plant groups Lukas Nursery is the place to go!!!!

I purchased Icon Zoysia from Lukas on Aug 6th. The pallets received were excellent quality. I took 2 1/2 weeks for my sod to catch. Zoysia is by far the best sod and my wife loves the look and feel. If there was a knock when I placed my deposit I was told I would receive a text when it was available for pick up which I never got so I just drove there and was able to pick it up. knowing Lukas nursery I dont hold that against them a knowing that they are busy and the quality was great. If you are looking for great sod, hit up Lukas nursery.

Reasonably priced nursery with an extensive selection. Set among what must be acres of plants, I always come to lukas with a goal and leave with a bounty.If you want to start a butterfly garden, this place is an absolute must. The big stores might have the same plants but you cant be sure if the plants are pesticide free. Every purchased butterfly hosting plant from lukas have successfully provided food and shelter for butterflies (so far Ive grown gulf fliterery, monarch, zebra, and swallowtail).Protip: kids get a free plant with purchases. In addition, there are wacky animal statues scattered amidst the plants so smaller kids might get a kick out of those.

Great place for plants ... They claim if it grows in Florida, they have it! Butterfly encounter here too. Keep on the lookout ... You never know what youll find hiding around....

I have been debating whether or not to write a review but here it goes. Lukas nursery is beautiful very diverse plants. Must employees are helpful. We went for milkweed after reading they dont spray plants. Somewhere along the way their milkweed is sprayed. We had exactly 20 butterflies/chrysalis that either didnt emerge or emerged with messed up wings/legs all fed Lukas milkweed. We tested for OE they were negative so only thing it could be is pesticide. We switched to another nursery (Palmer) all perfect butterflies. Next thing that will diffinetly cause us not to go back is the butterfly encounter. In there you will find a breeding ground for button quails....we found the nursery for these delicate birds with NO water one dead baby and one dying of dehydration. We ran to the front got someone to come help unfortunately girl that came had no idea how to care for them so I took baby chick and fed it water until it started drinking by itself and stayed there until all bowls were filled with water. I know this was long but the butterflies that now wont get to be freed was the last draw.

Big out door location so social distancing is very appropriate. Line to cashier is marked appropriately for social distancing. Big plus they give military discounts.

What a great place! Fun to walk around and enjoy. Beautiful! Great priced plants and a fantastic selection. We bought 2 trees and a succulent. The woman who was in the greenhouse wasnt very helpful and didnt seem to want to help but otherwise everyone else was a pleasure including the checkout folks. Thanks! Will be back to brouse.

I needed a nice potted plant to give to someone and Jan helped me pick out something nice and she planted it in the pot for me. She was so friendly and helpful.The rest of the staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful too! Fantastic place and fantastic people.I think Im gonna get some of those big ole windchimes!

Lukas is a must-go nursery for a wide variety of plants, gardening supplies, and speciality garden decor! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever I am looking for a special, unique plant for my garden, I go to Lukas. The butterfly encounter is really fun also!

They have a wonderful selection but not alot of help. It is 90*, we are wearing masks and the person we ask for help made us feel like he could not be bothered. I called beforehand and that person was very helpful also informing us that they had plenty of a certain plant that I asked for. However, we got there about an hour later and we could not locate where they were. Then we were directed to the most expensive of the 2 different plants they have versus the ones we wanted and then he walked away without even asking if we needed further assistance which we did.

They have a great selection - but their treatment of customers is totally lacking.Every time I have gone I have felt like I had to beg for service. Twice I have stood in front of the customer service counter when a group of post-pubescent employees gossiped about customers while I waited. The last time I waited for assistance, to purchase trees, The girl behind the counter asked one of the boys to help me, he told another of his coworkers and told him to do it, again, while I waited.I purchased a couple thousand dollars worth of pots, it took a while to get some attention but once I did the person I was helped by was very helpful. I went back to purchase some citrus trees. I purchased two, the total was over $600. I was told I would receive a call for delivery in a couple of days.I received the call just a few minutes ago and was told that they would deliver Tuesday. I told them that Tuesday would not work for me as I had an appointment. The delivery person said they would leave them in the driveway. I said that I did not want $600 worth of merchandise in the driveway when I was not going to be home. I asked if we could schedule a delivery and was told no. Frustrated that I had absolutely no choice in when they would be delivered I told them I did not want the trees and to please refund the purchase. In an effort to avoid my doing that, I was told I would need to call the nursery and have them do the refund. Only when I told them I was going to dispute the charge since they would not work with me did the person I was speaking with offer to deliver at another time. Sorry, too late. This was not about me getting my way, this was about being respected as a customer and treated as though my purchase was of value to them. They obviously have plenty of customers and can afford to treat in a way that is more in line their convivence than the customers convivence.I also called in the past to request design services and received such a run around (so and so is not in today... they are busy... hold - FORVER -) I gave up on that as well.I am on the phone to the credit card company as I type.Maybe I am wrong, but if I am paying for merchandise AND paying a significant delivery fee, I feel I should have some choice in when the delivery takes place.They have lost a customer - obviously they are not concerned about customer service.

Fabulous experience! Caleb was great. He helped me with tips to start a small vegetable garden as well as selecting beautiful plants for my patio. I was very grateful for the curbside service, since I am 65 years old. Caleb and the rest of the staff are wonderful! I highly recommend this nursery. Really lifted my spirits during the quarantine. On this particular day, Team Powers came to play in the butterfly encounter for the very first time! And of course we also purchased a few plants. But todays review is about the butterfly encounter. We did have a good time. I will let the pictures and the videos Im posting help you decide if you want to spend the money for this encounter. Hand feeding the butterflies was my highlight.

Love coming here just walk around and look. Pretty much anything that can grow in Central Florida can be found here as well as all of the really cool stuff your box stores dont have!!! Staff extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help! Always busy with locals so plan accordingly and get here early to beat some of the crowds! If you are looking for Ladybugs for your gardens they have them as well!!!

Went to Lucas with a friend on July 17th spend right at 200.00 on plants there. Planted them all and they were doing great except one plant, that particular plant cost me 39.99. I called them on 8/25/2020 @ 10:00 am and then called back at 10:19am.. to ask if they would replace it, the first person accidentally hung up on me so I called back and got someone different. The second person who’s name I did not get was super nice she looked me up in computer and said she would try to get an approval to refund my $$ since I Quite a ways away, I explained that I really loved the plant and wanted another if possible, she looked on her inventory and said she had 9 and that she would try and have one waiting for me at front desk. So today 8/26/2020 I went to exchange the plant, I got there and the first person was very rude and said it wasn’t their policy to do what I told her. She asked who I spoke with and of course I failed to get her name. The very nice person did say she just got into work before I called so I’m sure they can check the schedule. I was told to go get another plant and come back to the cashier which I did, first girl was gone so I explained it to the new person and she started in with the same about their policy. I told her again what I was told by phone and I drove from New Smyrna Beach to exchange the dead plant. Someone behind her started giving her opinion about the matter and so she called a manager according to her a “Lucas” was the ONLY one who could approve it. Then over the radio someone else piped in they didn’t approve it. Finally whomever was on radio said it was okay and they told me to read their policy from here on out there would be no exchanges. Lucas has a great selection of plants and a beautiful place, customer service is absolutely horrible. They acted like I was a liar when I have proof on my cell of calling 2 times, after spending close to 200.00 and 39.99 for the plant I returned that died I did not expect to be treated that way. I’m just one person but I have recommended them many times on my Local Facebook group and sent them lots of business. I myself will not be recommending them ever again and will also let all the groups I belong to about what happened today. Even if you have great plants you don’t treat people the way I was treated! It was also hard to find a replacement plant because out of the ones they had only 3-4 looked alive. Don’t think you’re so big that you don’t care how you treat people! One star for horrible customer service.UPDATE *****The replacement I got from themI’d dying also. Here is what they have to choose from. I should have taken the 1/2 refund and ran. Can’t add the pic but the ones at their location are all dead as well!!! I have a pic but can’t upload it.

Lukas Nursery is THE example of how a nursery should be and how it should be run. The people in door of the COVID crisis are so friendly, hopeful and knowledgeable! The place is huge and so well stocked. We didnt go inside the Butterfly Encounter, but there are butterflies everywhere. Lastly, and most importantly, the plants, trees, and shrubs they sell are so healthy its crazy. The big box stores just cant compete. We love Lukas and will go nowhere else.

I live 45 minutes away but lukas nursery is where i go because they offer an huge plant variety and they are always very helpful when you ask for advice.

My favorite nursery in central Florida. I got my sod and my Saint Augustine grass plugs here. I planted it around the pool to keep the sand and dirt from getting into the pool and it worked like a charm. It grew in really lush and spread out and now that whole area is just really really pretty. The staff here know what they’re doing and they’ll help you achieve your goals too. I also got the plants here for my butterfly garden. It was more successful than I could’ve ever imagined. Queen and Monarch butterflies laid eggs and develop through the complete metamorphosis. I learned more in that short period of time than I did in any science class I have ever taken. I did have a problem with wasps eating larve but I guess that’s just part of the circle of life. I thank the staff for making sure I had enough plants for the butterflies to feed on while there were going through their life cycle. Lukas is also the best place to buy your orchids.

One of the nicest nurseries in central Florida. Plenty of variety and selection of plants. Plenty to see so far expect to spend at least a hour to see most of everything. Their butterfly encounter is also a very nice attraction to visit.

Seems like a clean and organized business area. The staff is courteous, and efficient,I dont visit this business for recreation, I make deliveries.

Unbelievable! We have been looking for a real nursery. Lukas was perfect. Plant and tree selection was off the charts! Prices were good for the quality of the plant material. This trip was a reconnaissance trip. We will be returning, next time with our truck!!

Vast selection of outdoor plants, trees, herbs, pots, lawn statues, water fountains, etc. Some indoor plants, bonsai, hanging plants, etc. Butterflies can be seen often. Staff was friendly. After starting a garden during COVID-19, finding this nursery was a joy. As of July 2020, masks are required indoors and within 6 ft of others. Visit and enjoy!

Went to purchase a few pages and was not disappointed. There is a huge variety of indoor, outdoor, full sun, low light plants and a great variety of fruit trees and other arboreal treats. Will be back soon!

Ive been to quite a few nurserys over central florida, but the level of quality in plants is unmeasured to Lukas. Even their $1 dollar plants, grew bigger and healthier than my $5 home depot plants. They have beautiful pottery pots for your plants ranging from all prices and sizes. They do have a wide variety of plants and flowers and I always enjoy my time there.

Made the trek from Deltona I am never disappointed. Got five beautiful blue spreading junipers. Always quality plants.

Lukas Nursery has a great selection of plants at decent prices. The variety that they carry is amazing. I like just strolling through the outdoor path, looking at everything. A visit to the butterfly encounter is a must! The knowledgeable employees can help you with gardening and planting suggestions. They are a friendly and helpful bunch!They also carry a decent selection of pots for indoor and outdoor plants, some garden statuary for decoration, and a variety of gardening tools. I find the prices on potting soil, gardening tools, and fertilizer a little on the high side.

They never answer the phone. And after leaving repeated messages, they still dont return your call.Tried to ordered products on two separate occasions without success. Plants are beautifully arrayed but somewhat pricey. Onsite staff are not the friendliest.

I went to just look at plants and I found this cocktail tree. This is a citrus tree that has other citrus varieties grafted to the tree. 3-6 different types on one tree. The guys loaded it for us and the manager gave us planting advice. Love this place.

This is a great local nursery with a huge variety of plants. They do not have as many houseplants as I’d have thought for being such a huge place, but they have a wide variety of fruit trees, full sun plants, landscaping plants, and tropicals. They do have one small greenhouse for houseplants, but anytime I’ve ever gone, I’ve not seen anything too remarkable. To be fair, I’ve been twice, so maybe I just didn’t go at good times. They sell Fox Farms soil, which is a fantastic soil that’s hard to find locally. Their Lukas Nursery blend soil is also great. I’ve used it for a variety of different plants without issues, only adding some perlite or orchid bark for extra draining depending on the plant. I highly recommend checking this place out. The prices are good, variety is large, and it’s always good to support small locally owned businesses. The have a wishlist you can get on where they will email you they get a plant you have been looking for in stock, which is very kind of them. They also sell giant terra cotta pots bigger than anything you can find at a big box store. They have a butterfly encounter section as well, but I’ve never visited that part, so I cannot review it.

Great selection but slow service, actually no service. Went to buy a magnolia tree and to have them deliver and install it(~$500). I asked the cashier twice for assistance. Waited a total of 30 minutes for someone to come and assist me and nothing....so I left.

Longest automated phone system I have ever used. Called 3 or 4 times to try and talk to someone between saturday afternoon and sunday afternoon. But cant seem to get anyone. Automated system, keeps you on the phone for quite a while. Then eventually it rings three times and goes to another lengthy voicemail recording. Not getting my business because I cant get anyone to answer my one question.

I absolutely adore visiting Lukas. There are always new plants, fun decor, and a diverse selection of gardening supplies. I find the prices to be a bit high however not cost prohibitive, given the variety of rare offerings at a local nursery. I would recommend checking out the butterfly encounter but even just a stroll through the flora is wonderfully peaceful. If youre in the area, you should definitely stop by!
