May have had more fun here than I should admit. Loads of interacting stuff geared up for the younger ones. My son who is 14 was not really interacting with some of the stuff. But very informative pieces if you take your time to look around.

Fun place with things for kids to do, place to get food, and shop to get souvenirs. Watch the egg hatching show when they have it. It’s fun to watch. So is the show they do when they bring out a “real baby” dinosaur and let kids pet it.

Offering food and shop on upper level. Activity center below. The activity center does require reading skills and patience. Younger kids will probably not have patience for a few of the activities. There are some dinosaurs to see though!

I love this place but most of the technology was down when we went. It was a bummer, Im hoping that this gets the next update in this area.The view is beautiful from the front and the food is good. The attraction itself could use some love. When its slow, it would be a great spot to take younger kids to explore and recharge.

Not a bad display of dinosaurs. I’m a Jurassic Park fan and was still pleased with the park.

The 1 star Im giving is because of the rat I saw by the discovery center (video posted) and if you see one it means that there are more. The closest quick service in the that area is burger digs and after seeing the rat Im not sure how clean is the area. I expect to see Florida wildlife in the park but not rats near the area where we usually eat and the most upsetting thing is when reported to guest services, the member showed no concern.

This part of the park was an incredible experience - for anyone who is a fan of Jurassic Park it was just like being on set! The props, animatronics, the ride and atmosphere were all fantastic.

Think this one is geared more to the younger ones. My son loved it his first visit. 2 years later he had outgrown it. Still very fun and makes you feel you are in a part of Jurassic Park.

Good place for kids. Can get some pictures with fake dinosaurs and they have a little show. Some quick service eateries. However, never enough seating.

Cool place to spend some time and its inside out of the heat too.

Cool dino skeletons and it is set up kind of like the movie. You can watch the eggs hatch and there are some interactive research games. They arent really that interesting and the dinosaur telescopes are blurry so you cant really see out of them. The restaurant in it is pretty good, but like all the other resturants in the park it is way overpriced.

We enjoyed being able to go inside cool off and let our little one have hands on in some areas. We liked watching the nursery as well.

Wonderful place for kids to learn having fun

As an expert on dinosaurs and a visitor of the site for nearly 20 years, I can assure you that this will be the finest of all nostalgic elements that remain in the Islands. Its just as good as it was when it was put in.Sure, its dated, but its practically everything you ever wanted from the first two films wrapped in a hub that caters to even the longest-time fans. Just walking through the place gives you chills every time. It was the Jurassic World Discovery Center before Jurassic World was a thing.

Has cool exhibits for younger chidren to view history of dinosaurs. Also has a cafeteria on one side, with dining areas on both floors. Great area to take a break while in Islands of Adventure.

Maybe Im just a huge nerd, but walking into this center was almost cooler than any of the Jurassic Park rides. Its so iconic! Lots of fun little stations here for interactive learning, and generally pretty good design on the building itself.

Loved this place. Was a nice educational environment with helpful staff!It was also air conditioned so thats a plus!You can head upstairs for the dino store or to grab something to eat too!!Again love it!!

As a replication of the iconic building from the Jurassic Park movies, the Discovery Center is great! Inside, though, there isnt a whole lot to do. There is a quick service eatery which is fine; full of the normal theme park food options, and some small (and extremely outdated) exhibits for children on different dinosaurs. Beyond that and a hit or miss dinosaur encounter show that is put on multiple times a day, the Discover Center seems to be missing a single compelling reason for guests to visit. It does offer great views of the central lagoon out back, but that whole area is so open and offers nothing to pull guests back to it.

This was my and my 6 yr old daughters favorite part of Universal. It was so much fun being in Jurassic park.

Didnt use the shop or cafe on the second floor myself, however i did visit the center on the lower floor.it was well themed to the film but it did feel under-maintained and a little outdated. had they had the same premise but with newer technology it would probably have been much better, but i guess that then it wouldnt have been as accurate to the film.

This was pleasantly surprising. There was a lot to do, including watching a raptor hatching out of its egg.

Faithful replica of the original films Visitors Center, the Discovery Center houses a store, the Dino Digs burger restaurant, and numerous interactive dinosaur exhibits mostly geared towards children. It is definitely worth a walkthrough, but be forewarned, the downstairs exhibits usually close at 5pm. Also be sure to walk around the facility for photo ops with original vehicle props from the film as well as incredible views of the entire theme park and lagoon.

Kids love the area, the dinos in the basement dont work half the time. Still a cool experience for the kids, great place to avoid the heat.

One of the absolute best places to stop for the whole family. There are many interactive exhibits for kids and adults to have fun with. Witness a baby dinosaur being born, see what you would look like mixed with a dinosaur, see what a dinosaur sees, and much more! Also, there is a small gift shop with great toys and gifts!

Gun stuff to look at if you have kids or need a break in air conditioning. Dinosaur exhibits for the enthusiast and plenty of retail. Upstairs can get very crowded though, and not all the exhibits work all the time.

Excellent atmosphere. The rides are great. Cant wait to go back!

Know what youre getting into.A lot of people enjoy this ride, but I hate drops. When I got on, I saw a boat going through the jungle. I basically expected the Universal Version of the Disney Jungle Cruise. But then the boat went into a building and we started going up. And up. And up. And up. Im never riding again. The drop is 85 feet. If you wouldnt ride Splash Mountain, dont ride this. Otherwise, theres nothing wrong with the ride.

This place is cool specially for kids that want to explore, some of the things are hands on so it is fun. As for teens maybe not so much fun but the store does offer plenty of things to look for.

A DINOSAUR ATE ME

I really liked this ride. Its not a white knuckled thriller but the effort thats gone into the design is top notch. A nice river cruise gone wrong in the land of dinosaurs. Get a poncho a check it out. Youll get soaked to the bone.

Well, it was interesting but its getting a bit outdated.The building interior is well laid out, with plenty to see and do but I would say this is more for kids than adults. Its worth a look though if only just to see the dino skeletons hanging around.

I was thrilled with the park. My son loved all of the dinosaurs and was happy to see one hatch The only thing I was disappointed about was not getting on the water ride since the wait was so long. But I went to have my picture taken with my son over at the Ethel pen. Let me tell you that Amanda was the raptor trainer at the time and she was FANTASTIC!!. Engaging & funny she made my visit my favorite moment of the trip. I also loved the fact that when I gave the girls my camera to take the photo for me I didnt realize they would also take a video of Ethel scaring my son at the end, that was a great surprise for me. I thank these girls from the bottom of my heart for making my first visit to Universal Studios the greatest day ever.

Love Jurassic Park in general so this ride is great! Always a fun experience! And youll probably get wet... Or soaked! But hopefully not eaten, there are dangerous dinosaurs on the loose after all.

A little tame when you consider all that’s going on right outside. Failed to interest an 11 year old, but I liked it.

Such an amazing ride. Scared at first but it was such a fun ride everyone should go on it. First timers should definitely go on it. 100% go on it. Dont miss out on the fun

Ever since I first went to Islands of Adventure when I was little I always look forward to going to the Jurassic Park area, with the Discovery Center being the highlight of the area. For movie fans it will bring back memories of the ill-fated Visitors Center, looks and all. The highlight of the Discovery Center must be the hatchery, where guests can relive the iconic moment from Jurassic Park where a baby Raptor hatches and is born into the world. Other interactive layouts fill the lower floor, and on the upper floor there is a gift-shop similar to the one in the Visitor Center and also a small restaurant. It is truly an immersive experience, and a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Universal Studios Islands of Adventure.

The discovery center is a great place to learn all about dinosaurs in a hands on environment.

I love Jurassic Park, so this place was a hone run. The rides are not as updated as others in the park. But I definitely do not regret going here.

Great view sitting outside. The dinosaur displays are nice, but were static. Had a feeling of being like the first movie.

Prepare to get drenched! This ride might be scary for young kids but they will love it if they have seen the movie.

My kids love Jurassic park and dinosaurs and this was like a dream come true for them especially the discovery centre. The staff were so good in there they even brought out little real dinosaur eggs and got the kids to gently rock them and explained all about them etc. And the kids loved it. Loads of interactives to do in here which is actually a good break from being out in the sun in summer and a rest from queuing and rides for the little ones.

Very cool building with lots of detail. There is a shop, restrooms and a restaurant inside. Good place to escape the heat or rain.

If youve ever wanted to visit the visitor center from Jurassic Park this is your stop.

I love Jurassic Park, and this place made me love it even more! You feel like in the movie talking with the scientists, learning about dinosaurs and even watching a baby raptor being born!!

The kids will enjoy it if theyre familiar with Jurassic Park, then theyll have fun here. Great for adults too.

Fun for kids. They get to interact with virtual reality dinosaurs and hatch dino eggs. Staff was wonderful interacting and answering Kids questions about dinos.

If youre a fan of the films then youll love it. There are lots of little activities and its usually pretty busy so you have to wait around. Worth it though.

Fun place, but so many kids just running around without parents.

Overlooked gem in the park, this place gives you time for a non-linear exploration of curious dino things. get out of the heat and let your kids calm here

Entertaining and educational.

This place is awesome, it brings to life my favorite movie, Jurassic Park. The ride outside is a great one too, one of the best in the park.

Its kind of hidden, but it packs a lot of a couple floors. It will make the kids interested and give adults neat things to look at

I was so hot that the excitement of the rides and knowing that I was going to get wet made my day. Ps. You will get really wet, not just a bit.

Fine for little ones, but really nothing now than an interactive museum style exhibit.

Definitely one for younger children, especially the dinosaur hatching area which is a great little bit of theatre that should entertain the little ones

This is one of the classic universal rides and if you by any chance visit Los Angeles or Orlando go to universal and check out Jurassic park the ride you wont be dissapointed unless you hate drops because trust its a tall drop combined with a water ride so youll be wet

Always fun to explore the center and to watch velociraptors hatch! It is hilarious to have your brain scan to match your DNA back to dinosaurs.

It always happens to me, no matter how many other people I see get off dry I always get SOAKED on this ride. I do have to say the set is movie quality and the dinos are pretty realistic.

I have always loved Jurassic Park and this just brings it to life even more!

As a restaurant and you can learn a lot about dinosaurs in the process

If you love these movies you this is a must do.

Did we have fun? Yes. However, John Hammond needs to take a good hard look at this park. We just wanted to see Hadrosaurs, not be attacked by Velocoraptors and a T-Rex!Stick to Shadow Bay Park. Much safer and your kids wont get bit by Compys.

A must see when at the park for Jurassic Park fans. Great exhibits for the kids.

Worth the trip.

The ride is great. If you video tape they see and nag you through a speaker before you see trex to put it away and sometimes even stop the ride until you do.

The ride was the best part of universal and I loved the Jurassic Park theme

This is better than in the movies because the dinosaurs seem to be alive! My brother looked at a TRex because he thought it was a statue but then the TRex roared and my brother fell on his face.... dude, im gonna post this epic video on Facebook! Must be seen of all JPFans!
