The river side trail is nice for exercise. There are few swings for kids and adults. There is not enough shelter for picnic. The most important attraction of this park is the riverside big wheel which has a fee to ride Love it
Very neat, pricing is fairly reasonable. Certainly an OKC essential
Lots of space for kiddos to run around in. Hammocks are a blast to have fun in.
Wheeler park is interesting. On one hand its kind of out in this random area all by itself, with no substantial trees and feels kind of desolate a lot of the time.On the other hand, it has a great view of downtown, the giant OKC is cool for taking pictures, the Ferris wheel is fun and has great views and if you go here with a bunch of people this is a pretty cool spot. The context in which you visit this place will greatly color your experience and opinion of this place in my experience. This is a good place to host a work event or party.Overall, pretty cool and worth checking out. Id recommend going when other people will be here, like evenings, especially on the the weekend.
Nice little park for the folks that like to play softball. Fields looked good. I may have missed it, but didnt see a concession stand.
My family loves this park. We go often.
Very pretty spot! Great to hold games at!
Decent fields. Most of the umpires are good. The crazy drivers ruining it... theres little kids out there and we have dudes going 25 miles an hour, in a narrow parking lot! The burning of tires made it hard to see and breathe. Horrible atmosphere. Someone is going to get hurt... I wanna play ball but if it doesnt get better Im gonna want my money back
Like most people have mentioned it is a small park with not a whole lot to do. There was plenty of parking available. We walked on the path next to the river. It does have a cool view of the buildings of downtown Oklahoma City. The OKC sign is neat for a photo in front of it. There is a small Ferris wheel there as well although we did not ride it on our visit
My husband, daughter and I found ourselves at Wheeler Park while searching for a place to park our car while we went biking on the OKC Trails. The particular evening we were there, a Sunday evening, the parking lot was PACKED. This was at the eve of Phase 3 Opening after Covid, so we were wondering what event was taking place. It was mostly men, in trucks, playing music loudly and doing burnouts, stuff like that. Definitely not a church picnic. We were a little uncomfortable but after all we were just there to ride our bikes, so we stayed.Of course the park is open to anyone who wants to enjoy it. But some vehicles were parked over the trail, and some were driving aggressively thru the grass, tearing up sod. Very inconsiderate.Other than that, we entered the Trails at Western, biked a while, and came back. But we were a little afraid for our 8 YO, there were many cars and trucks coming and going. I would go to the park again, but only in the daytime.
Nice place to have a relax time
The wheeler park Okc is a very small park. There is a trail to walk or jog. The river side trail is nice for exercise. There are few swings for kids and adults. There is not enough shelter for picnic. The most important attraction of this park is the riverside big wheel which has a fee to ride. This park is good to spend an hour or two.
City has let this place decline. Its sad
The park of nothingness.Good park for running and walking dogs. However, No lively nature, the park doesn’t have much design and the farriers wheel overlooks.... nothing but flat land.
Love this ball park near the river.
So much fun! Great place to go if you like relaxing walks or even if you wanna laze around they have hammocks! Pet friendly and fun fun fun! The ferris wheel has an amazing view and so does the whole trail! Could walk for miles and not get bored of the view! Love this park!
This place is really neat! It’s located just off the river and it’s not just a Ferris Wheel. In the summer, there’s a Friday night concert series that’s free & so much fun. Bring a blanket or lounge in one of the hammocks. Listen to local bands, browse the pop-up shops, eat some food, drink some beers, and of course, ride the Ferris Wheel. Entrance to the park is free, but food, drinks, merchandise, and Ferris Wheel rides do cost. Fun, pet and family-friendly event. Just keep your dogs on a leash, bring waste bags (just in case), cleanup after them, and only bring them if they’re good around both people and other dogs.
Nice park. Been coming here since I was a kid. Its next to the river and has a lot space for cook outs. Car shows. Family reunions.
Family park quite nice
I cant wait to check this place out. I used to visit the softball field when I was a kid but I want to ride the ferris wheel. Preferably at night.
Super fun and exciting atmosphere! Decent pricing, lots of activities and events that are free. They have a place to purchase snacks and drinks as well. Great place to take pictures for anything!
Place looks so different since Ive havent seen it in 15 years.
This park has atleast two baseball fields and one huge soccer field. It also has a playground. There are no goal posts for the soccer field or atleast not good ones. The baseball fields are in better shape. There is plenty of parking. Its a good park but could use a little upkeep.
Love this place!
Beautiful sculpture you must see it light up at night very impressive.
Very good. Grass was a little long, but there wasnt any trash laying around and it was well kept overall. My kids and my dog loved it!
My first time being there. It seemed to be a good place for the event...5K for the Cancer Classic.
Enjoyable place! Love to go and ride the fairris wheel.
Its ok place to be
Nice clean and safe feeling park. The port a potys have needed service the 2 times I have tried to use them.
This was amazing to see. Love the beautiful colors and the wonderful walk
It was a lot more fun than I imagined. As it continues to grow it will become a great destination in OKC!
Rode the Farris Wheel and spent time in the park. Really good experience.
My husband, my 2.5 year old and I had planned on going to the zoo but didnt realize how early it closed, so I had the great idea to check out Wheeler Park (I had been dying to come for quite a while). When we got there, the staff was more than friendly and hospitable. We made a b-line towards the ferris wheel and my little girl had a blast as it was her first time riding on one! After the ferris wheel, we played cornhole, we sat in the hammocks and of course took pictures with the large O-K-C letters. We mustve come on the perfect day because they also had a food truck there called Taco Nation that was right up our alley (we love Mexican food) and it did not disappoint! Overall, our experience at Wheeler Park was unforgettable and we will definitely be back!
I walk my dogs here... great place early in the morning! 630 7
This park is so beautiful. I recommend riding the ferris wheel and checking out the food trucks.
Absolutely love this park. Really cool place to just chill and think about your day. Really awesome park to take the kids and let them be kids.
Good place for a run!
Good fields and not too crowded but man do they need some shade around the bleachers and dugouts.
Definitely worth the visit. Go close to dark, makes for amazing pics.
Ive always liked this park. Its relaxing and quiet. Not a lot of people there all the time. Right next to the river which adds to the charm. Even the occasional homeless brother it sister who walks through is friendly. I gave it four stars because I wish there were a restroom and fountain.
Good times with a good friend!!
Ran the hottest 5k. Great place.
Nice ballpark, looks like they take good care of the field and there is decent seating.
Good place to walk, they have events some times. the area is just now really being developed.
Its improved tremendously... Glad to see Southside get improvments..theyneeded it long time ago.
Beautiful
Lots of space and secluded but the play place itself is kinda small.
Lots of space. Play ground, kite flying space, good parking, concrete path, bench seating, etc.
Will be great if you want to live near downtown and near park, buy now and reap the benefits of the current price, only will go up as more houses sold.
Close to downtown and other fun places
Perfect place for family and friend time! They have many different ball parks areas, a bike/hike trail, a ferris wheel, a play park, as well as the river! Totally going to be using this place often!
No real bathrooms and a lot of homeless people. Ok place to walk in groups or ride a bike. Couple of condoms in the parking lot and saw a meth pipe once.
Wheeler Park is a really good place for an event.
Its a semi park. There is a baseball field and stadium. Some parking but not a playground for kids. Some soccer fields but nothing else. I dont know but it should be better.
Great Night out!! Fun event for couples and groups! I bought a season pass.. my husband is an accountant so its busy season for him.. but if he gets off at 8 we can go spend the evening riding the ferris wheel and visiting in the cool night air.. :) the staff is very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Such a great view! I love that they have a covered area as well. Ping pong and checkers, corn hole and soccer, even if you are afraid of heights they have activities for you!! :) would be a great place for a birthday party!
Its a fairly large park, with several picnic tables and fun playground equipment for kids. A couple of the tables have handicap spaces, so you dont have to put wheelchairs on the end. Theres a great track for walking, runnjng, or biking as well as a couple of sports fields. The down side is that there are no bathroom facilities.
I love this park
Awesome lights at night!
Awesome place to hang
Very chill
A really nice area. The ferris wheel is a little underwhelming, but cool to checkout I guess. Gets extremely crowded very quickly...they need to utilize the space better and plan for larger crowds.
Great Little park.
Great places to loose yourself.
Great area for baseball games
They were unorganised and the smaller children didnt get any eggs. It was a waste of time.
Its ok. Good views.
This is a great addition to our city! Thank you! The ferris wheel is very well priced with beautiful views for your touristy pictures and fun games to play. We enjoyed the walk by the river also. Enter into the area off of Western.
Good place to hangout with family and friends. Make sure to carry game accessories/toys for kids. Also keep away from river side, grass near river has really sharp thorns.
Nice access to the North side of the river trail. Well maintained and it looks safe. Ive had good experiences using the park.
It’s a very nice park but beware of the stickers by the walking path if you are bringing your dog!
Nice scissortail flycatcher
Clean & the ferris wheel is awesome. My son loved it. If you go walking around the water thought theres a lot of debris in the water and trash along the sides of the trail. Besides thats its usually a great place to go walking or biking
They have a new Ferris wheel that is permanent and nest.
It is bottomland so it tends to be wet and Marcy even when it hasnt rained recently. There were a lot of adults parking their cars there that was not children playing. Theres a lot of wide open space for running.
Great on the fourth of July.
Great place to take kids
Love coming here
It was a cool park
Its ok but it has no bathrooms that I know of and the scenery is pretty in the sunset
Its a great Place to bring your kids or to relax in the outdoors.
Awesome place! Very kid and family oriented! Highly recommended!
Very nice clean park
Great place to hang with friends and take pics. You will definitely make good memories.
