Great acoustics and views, but seats in general admission are too narrow. Very uncomfortable seating. Other than that good venue.
Lets talk about the wooden seats in the back of the auditorium that were obviously designed for children. You dont have to be a very large person before these seat become unbearably painful. Im 62 and with my back firmly against my seat not only did my knees touch the seat in front of me they pressed into it. The seats are also so narrow that putting yourself at an angle to avoid the knee issue jams the arm rests painfully into your sides. To top it all off my shoulders are wider than the seat, so in order to not intrude into my neighbors space I had to round my shoulders and slouch to make myself as small as possible. I cant imagine how uncomfortable these would be for people on the heavier side.On another note, they say the auditorium seats 725 people and the concert we attended was sold out (Patty Griffin and John Fullbright). They opened the doors an hour before the concert was supposed to begin but only had one person scanning for weapons, one person checking purses, and one person scanning tickets. 20 minutes after the concert was supposed to start nearly HALF of the audience had not yet made it to their seats. Despite this they still turned off the lights and started the show. The obvious result of this was that during most of the opening act people were shining flash lights trying to find their seats, making people stand up so they could fit down the narrow rows, talking, moving about, standing around and blocking the view. There were also several people around us that purchased tickets for seats that didnt exist. When confronted, the staff had to bring them folding chairs. In hindsight I wish I would have had a folding chair it would have been much more comfortable than the torture device I sat in for 3 hours.Oh, and get there early or youll be parking on the street. There are not nearly enough spots in the actual parking lot at the time of writing for a max capacity, sold out show.In closing the venue LOOKS and SOUNDS nice, and the concert performance was great but the seats are horrible and the management has a long way to go before they get close to having a well run establishment.
Good acoustics. Tight seating. Seating Q thru Z is wood seats. R thru A is padded. If you like the the old school historic venue scene then check out a show here.
Great place to see a show. Bring a cushion
Great venue. Delbert McClinton & band were great . So was the crowd
Seats are very close together, but auditorium is a good size and laid out well for performances.
Was great first time at a play. Went for a friend was not disappointed.
Great vintage high school type auditorium. Parking is challenging at the moment.
Nice place but a little out of the way. Parking okay. Sound was very good. Seating was also good. Expensive location though.

We went for The Struggles of Rosa Parks Musical, it was nice.. We really enjoyed the musical.. If you are tall sit in the front there is no leg room between the rolls.
The location is very neat and the bathroom is filled with so much light in the day. Love it.
Theres a lot of space and the stuff they do keeps u interested
LOVE IT ALOT IN MY HEART
Really impressed by this venue. Great location in an up-and-coming part of town. Historic with awesome new sound system and a Steinway grand piano.
This is a great venue for recitals, plays or other shows. The cafeteria has been turned into a nice party room. There is plenty of parking
Very clean and well maintained. Beautiful building.
This is a wonderful place to see live jazz.
The seats are HORRIBLE! I dnt know how even kids can fit in these, let alone adults. My wife has back and hip problems and she had to leave because the seats were so painful. I dnt have any chronic pain usually, but by the time the recital was mostly over, my knees and back were hurting. I guess the stage and facilities were alright, but the seating was torture.
New appliances.. But roach in hall way
Great place to enjoy art
Gorgeous venue with cool history in up-and-coming part of town
The Douglas is wonderfully preserved and exceptionally revived.
Only rating this 4 of 5 stars because the seats arent sloped up enough and you are constantly having to look around the persons head thats in front of you. Other than that, its a clean facility.
Beautiful ballet my granddaughters was in it
The stage was SO slippery and it was hard to dance on
Nice place
Beautiful, loved it!
Great show
Very nice!
