Great place to take your kids or family and friends. You can bring your dog since they do have a nice dog park. They also have disc golf which is a blast to play. Just before the big wind storm they started cleaning up around the areas for the disc golf and continued after the storm. Plus you can jump in the river if it gets to hot

Although it has large pebbles on the western side of this section of the river bank... A folding chair and yourself maybe with some water, snacks and fishing gear. One can enjoy peace and solitude while hanging out by the not so crowded river.

Disc golf- executive what I imagined for a course of this caliber. A few water passes, tunnels, challenging mandos, and even as a beginner I didnt lose any discs. The course definition favors accuracy over distance.

Great historic buildings and fun activities. Miles Goodyears fort was rebuilt on its original location. Canoeing, camping, Frisbee golf, hiking and Mountain Man reenactments and huge Rendezvous. Help support local and enjoy beautiful scenery and recreation. This time of year it is peaceful and uncrowded.

Home to one of the most challenging disc golf courses in Utah. There is a reason that this course is part of the 2021 World Championship. It will be a big test for all players. Multiple tees on most holes means there is a good variety for playing the course.

We went for a nice long run before the storm came into the area. Beautiful trees and river view and cute lil birdhouses on a tree. After the run we stopped by discstracted, a lil disc golf shop to pick up some used discs.

The best course I have ever played. Huge area, big holes. Technical shots. Loads of shade. We went memorial day weekend and it was almost too cold in the shade. Almost. There are holes you have to throw over a river. So much fun and very pretty. I will be back.

Decent spot to hangout for a few hours. No overnight camping allowed unless you’re the homeless hippie people who apparently live there full time when nobody else is allowed to even stay the night? Kinda weird. The train yard next door is crazy loud. Signs all over with rules and restrictions on everything. I definitely won’t be back. The fishing pond was decent. Not much else to see.

For the past 2 years, MP USA and Vibravision have held private Martial Arts and Meditation classes at Fort Buenaventura Park. It is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are kept clean, the trails are excellent for barefoot running, and parking is excellent! This is, by far, my favorite location for classes in the park. If anyone is considering reserving this place for a special event, I highly recommend it!

I attended a wedding here at Fort Buenventura Park, it was very nice! You wouldnt expect such a nice, quit, place right there in the middle of a busy, bustling, city like Ogden. Lots of trees for shade even on a hot day in August, it was clean and well kept. Plenty of parking. They had barbecue grills in their spot, and a firepit. Also the restrooms were clean and well maintained. Definitely consider this place for a small wedding or family reunion type event! Five stars for sure.

Upon arrival we were immediately being harrassed by an older white gentleman driving a Ford ranger spray painted black. Accusing my dogs of viciously attacking his german shepherd three weeks ago. This is the only time i have had any issues with this park. Try and keep your distance from this man.

This was an awesomely beautiful place. We attended the easter mountain man rendezvous with our kids here. It was a beautiful park with nature trails, disk golf course, restrooms, and the mountain man rendezvous was a hit as well. It was really neat to find this hidden gem in the middle of a city. Would have really never knew it existed if it hadnt been for the rendezvous. Definitely will go back and explore more with the family.

Review №56

Its a nice place to be part of the nature and I really liked being able to go to the tiny historic fort and see a little bit of history on the sign and the old cabins. I only gave it four stars because we have better playgrounds and parks in walking distance of our home. If we had time to go canoeing that looked fun, but I didnt get to do that while I was there. And Im not really into the little gift shops or place where you can buy old arrowheads and things.

I started exploring the fort Buenaventura Park but because of the weather the roads were rather icy and all of the different Trails were mostly closed or covered over with leaves and ice. When the weather warms up and things are nicer and theyre able to clean up the mess then I think it would be a lovely place for exploring for running jogging and just general sightseeing.

But I heard alot of complaints about the vendor fees so this year there was no rootbeer. I think that if you guys dont bring back the food and beverage vendors you will lose alot of happy customers. :(

This is a nice place to throw some disc golf. The historic value of Fort Buenaventura was a little interesting, but nothing detailed. They dont even allow you to enter the Fort to check out the historic value of the blacksmith shop, the medical room, the old store, etc..You do, however, have access to a gigantic area of all sorts of outdoor type adventure. The campgrounds did not offer single person camping. I was only able to purchase a campsite if it were group camping. Nothing individual. There is a dog park as you come into the Fort Buenaventura park, near the baseball diamonds, that seems popular for dog owners. Dogs seem to enjoy it too.
