Great trail, its got a dirt road as a trail and its ideal for our dogs to give people space. Sometimes parking lot can fill up quick
This trail has a combination of steep inclines and flat areas. If you have dogs there is a water station about a quarter mile in for the dogs to drink and leave water for the next dog. There are no other stations at least for the first 2 miles, so make sure to bring plenty of water for them. The view is amazing!
It is a very scenic trail with many paths to take. It is always an enjoyable hike no matter which trails you take.
Good size parking lot. Direct access to hillside trails.
Excellent hike, one of the most beautiful ones I have been on in my short tenure hiking this is definitely a moderate hike, with an elevation gain of about 2001 feet but the views are spectacular and there are a few places to camp as well along the trail. The out look at the top over looks Allen peak and connects with the malan peaks trail.
Hike is nice. Not for toddlers. Maybe 7+ year olds... Its pretty steep you will get your sweat on. Nice views of Ogden.
Did both the Indian Trail and the Hidden Valley trails over the weekend. These are some of my favorite hikes. Strenuous and long enough to push your limits. The paths were easy to find with the exception of the start of the Hidden Valley trail. The trails are clean and those you share the trail with appear to be friendly and respectful.
Great trailhead with quick access to the Indian, bonneville shoreline, and hidden valley trails among others. Parking lot is spacious with some shaded spots, trailhead has a canopy with info and trash bins, along with plastic bags to clean up after your dog
Nice parking lot with access to multiple trails.
Nice and quiet early in the morning. Definitely sees more traffic later in the day.
Many trails to choose from. Any age can walk/ hike/ bike here.
Neat trailhead to mountain bike or run with the dog
Easy hike that allows you to choose your destination. The view down on the city is beautiful. Parking lot and picnic area had some trash, which I did pick up.
Go hike this - you wont get lost. We went to the trailhead and went left for 2 miles as a monotany breaker while traveling through Ogdan.Lots of rock formations and trails that spiderweb all over. You still wont get lost as you can see town below and the rocks above keep you from wandering too far from the paths.
Access to many good trails.
Nice hike, but little shade.
Love this trailhead. Good starting point for some great hikes. Gets a little crowded during peak months and hours but thats to be expected. Only recommendation...maybe put in a bathroom facility.
We went to watch the sunset. It was perfect.
Me and my friends come up here a lot and hike the Bonneville shoreline trail until we get to the waterfall, its usually about a 2 hour hike up with minimal breaks and about an hour hike back down but its super rewarding if you like nature. Parts of the trail do get rather boring to look at but if you go around sunset you get a beautiful view throughout. All forks that I pass through were well marked with directions. On the topic of mountain biking, this trail is rather rough but over all very fun both up and down. I do have to suggest you be careful on your way down as there are some corners with narrow edges that scared me a lot on my first time down.
Gets busy on weekends, but beautiful views of Ogden
Easy starter hike for any age.
Nice trail head with parking, and shade. This head leads to multiple trails. Go check it out!
Nice hub with a lot of trails to choose from. Pretty safe. Beautiful views.
️️ Beauteous MotherNature
Great, challenging hike!
Indian trail is really pretty
Great place to bring the kids! Beautiful view of the ogden area.
Moderately challenging. Nice to walk. Is runnable, somewhat narrow at spots so be careful at blind turns
It was nice beautiful scenery and good for exercising
This trail head is absolutely stunning! It is a great View of the canyon and Ogden! It has varied degrees of difficulty throughout... There is something here for everyone!
This is one pogger trail head!
Beautiful and quiet.so many large boulders to admire. So many trails link up but you won’t get loss
Very Beautiful place to escape with your thoughts or to exercise with your family.
Nice scenery. Good challenge without being too difficult
Nice hiking trails.
Great hike for anyone. Good for the family & great for experienced hikers.
Cant say enough about the trails in OTOWN. Beautiful all around.
Lots of different paths you can choose and lets of different difficulties as well. Good for beginners and intermediate hiking and it is really easy to choose your length as the trials can go as long as you want. But it is a back tracking kind of hike, no loops that I know of.
Great place to access Bonneville shoreline trails and close to Indian trail head as well access to rainbow gardens
Access to the Indian Trail, Hidden Valley and the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, all right here, just minutes from downtown Ogden.
Gorgeous views and a lot of trails to choose from!
So nice to run here! Great trail to get away from the city chaos
One of my favorite trailheads in Ogden! Easy access to a variety of trails in a variety of difficulties! And the fellow trail users are always nice :)
Has a trail that is pretty even and great for walking with a stroller or just a nice easy walk and has a trail thats moderately steep and challenging for someone who wants a hike
Fabulous hikes of off this trail head. I especially like hidden valley.
Fun paths
Beautiful views, and once you get up away from the trail head some nice shade as well. There some steep spots, and the trails arent all marked.
Loved the trail, just watch out for the Fremont Mountain Bike Team. They hog the trail, and youll have to wait an eternity for them all to pass. Theres a lot of them, so watch out Monday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
The dogs and I liked it . Need some more dog bag drops.
Fantastic trail system for walking and biking
I loved it! The sights overlooking the city were so beautiful!
The trail access here is pretty good. The problem is that there are side trails everywhere. The signs are nice/new but there are not enough of them. The parking lot is not spacious. If a truck parks in one of the spaces in the second row, cars are unable to pass. Also, there was glass from a broken window on the ground my last visit.
Its a really good activity for kids to adults! Some trails can be challenging, but others are moderate or very easy. But beware of poop and random obstacles!
Moderate difficulty. Uphill first half and down valley 2nd half. Takes 2hrs to reach shed. Beautiful view.
Watch out for the rattlers!
27th is my favorite, but Ill hit 22nd for a change.
Took the mountain bike for a ride with some friends over lunch recently. They took me here and we had a great time. A nice variety of choices in terms of trails and difficulty. Rode north to a nice overlook of the canyon.
Awesome view
We just happen to run across this place, but it looks like the great hike there were lots of dogs And people around hiking. We were dressed from church so we did not hike, but we will give it a try sometime. There is no trees or shade on this hike
I grew up on these trials, and they have always been very maintained. It is always a great place to go hiking and biking.
Way to cold would not recommend
Tough trail can jog down pretty easy, or fall down.
Well kept and we brought our 2 y/o and our 6 y/o who had a BLAST! We loved it!
My beautiful children and I had a blast. It was a beautiful day.
Always a good one!
Love this hike. Ogden hikes are the best.
Its always awesome for me
Clean nice parking for the shoreline trail
Not a lot of parking. Hiked Indian Trail from this TH. Really cool! Sometimes there is free coffee here too. Not kidding!
Pretty fun hiking the trail, especially if you go towards waterfall.
Great hiking with beautiful views. We were not familiar with the trails and there is no map to help guide you. It would be nice if a trailhead map was there or the trailheads were marked. Still recommend it as we just chose a path followed it until we needed to turn around.
Great place to start a hike to Indian Trail or Hidden Valley. Small parking lot, but immediate access to Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
Good hiking please
Great starting point for trails, especially bikes, with tons of parking
Always a good spot to catch the BST for a run
Not sure if I took the wrong trail, but they seem very narrow for bikes. Wonderful parking area and great time seeing the city.
Good hiking
Great Scenic hiking! Check out the Indian Trail up Ogden Canyon it offers great views.
Wish I could do no stars walking in with my kids and already seen used condoms along side it. No good parking and rattlesnakes
Plenty of parking and many of trails to choose from ranging in length and difficulty; very common area, so expect other hikers and mountain bikers.Take the Hidden Valley Trail for the hike of your life; difficult, but well worth it and youll usually have the trail to yourself.
Went hiking ... Beautiful
Love all trail heads up along ogden. You can usually always find a trail suitable for everyone somewhere at one of the many trailheads.
It was windy and muddy
Nice hike or ride with a few variations possible.
More secluded than waterfall canyon and also has some good shade.
This place is a hole lot better than the Motel 6 in Ogden the employees are way Kinder people
Beautiful hike!!
Epic boulders
This was the hike my dad, little brother and I used to climb all the time as kids. If you want a cool starter hike to get your kids interested in hiking, this is a awesome one to start.
