Great all around park for everyone. Skate park is awesome with different level obstacles for every level skater. Worth trying!

The skate park is one of the better ones I have been to in West Texas also walked my dog for a while.

Wonderful sunrise or sunset walking path. Skate park open. Pools closed.

Always a favorite for the kiddos. Playground is large enough for large groups of children to run and play. Lots of area for picnics and barbecues. Great for taking the dog for a day at the park. Skate park, volleyball area, baseball diamonds, and an event building and pavilions available for rent to ensure a place for parties. Definitely the park of all parks in Odessa, Texas!

I was born in Odessa and this park is near to my heart. It has changed for the better, as the slides I remember were so tall I thought for sure I was defying death itself every time I dared climb to the top! The octopus is still there as well as the spider and web, so nostalgia rises when I bring my own children, and watch their happy smiles as they run and play like I once did. So now, we make new memories to hold onto ourselves, when they grow up. *tear*.......**more tears ***

Can use guard rails since the traffic on Dixie makes walkers unsafe and could use better lights for summer night walkers.

This is a frequent park we go to here in Odessa. If your new to the area or haven’t been by this park it’s a great place to take your kids. Plenty of open room to run and play ball. They have the skate park here as well so if your into skate boarding this is a great park. They also have soccer fields with lots of room. The only down side to this park is that there seems to be a lot of stickers but other than that this place is awesome and it has a great pool to go to during the summer.

I would say this is the most peacefully active park in Odessa,TX

Fun for kids younger than 12

Growing up in odessa we had the staple pieces, the boat, spider and web, and octopus for amusement at the Sherwood park. Having 3 generations of family growing up and knowing these things and having a great time on them is something I love about this park. I am glad they added a covered seating area specially for those hot days.

So much to do! We ended up where the volleyball area was. We played some volleyball and baseball. When we were done, we pulled out our chairs and ate some sandwiches.

Clean, quite and big. Covered picnic tables, nice grass and trees . Grills. Different stuff for kids, teens and adults. ( My cat liked it too.)

Best park in town!

Probably the best park we have in Odessa. Close call between that one and maybe Woodson park... Sherwood is definitely bigger though, and stacked with anything you could possibly need a park to have. Ridiculous amount of open space, way more than plenty in the playground equipment dept, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, a small skatepark, paved track (cement walkway) for walking jogging, or biking, large picnic areas, plenty of parking, trees galore, a sand volleyball court (please help keep the trash out of it if you use it, its clean now we want to keep it that way)And of course.... the Grand Finale...The largest pool and Waterpark youre going to find for hundreds of miles. Now while thats true, its also true that generally speaking (as opposed to a Waterpark like say, Schlitterbaughn its many many times smaller.Sherwood water park/pool is just kinda tucked into the corner of the park, so its not HUGE but its typically big enough to accommodate the number of guests. It HAS reached max capacity before, but thats not the norm.

My preferred place to get my 3.75. MILE. JOG ON !

Fun park to take the family we spen some holidays here when we have a big family gathering g and it works out great. The kids have a place to go play or they can play football or fly kites. Good park

Very clean park!Super kid friendly. They have sand to play in, baby rocker teeter toys, slides and swings and plenty of open space to run.They have a pool, skate park, and baseball/soccer fields.Lots of toys to clim, rocks to play on, flowers to look at, and areas for picnics and cook outs!

Nice park, plenty of trees, I walk the most enter side walk path it 1.13 miles, I used GPS tracker.

If you skateboard or want to walk your dog this is the perfect place. Also good for a nice jog. Its market for you so you know how far youve ran

Good for a good run

This is a very nice park and most children are supervised by their parents in the play area. Dont know about the skate board area but it looks nice from the side walk. I see teens there, and occasionally a parent.

Very nice park. My favorite to go in Odessa. It is very big, green and tranquil. It has two tennis courts, two sand volleyball, room to play soccer and to do skateboarding.Good for family outings, grills are already in the park and tables and benches to eat all together. They have a very big playground for kids and an aquatic center in the middle of the park.

The best time to go is really early in the morning. Or around sunset. Otherwise it will be very hot.

Good park with lots to do. Pool, lots of playscapes, room to wander, pavilions, etc. But in the heat of the summer, they really should provide more shade. If you play Wizards Unite, its a hot spot to stock up on energy and such.

Great bowl and street sections. It is a bit dated. Prairie dogs everywhere!

The best thing about this park is the aquatic center, I have countless memories of my friends and I swimming till the place closed. Just bring family/friends for a good time.

Great park to come for many reasons. 1. They have a park in which you could bring you kids to play 2. They have a skate park for skaters 3. Baseball field for games 4. Big open fields for football 5. A pool mostly in the summer. 6. A hall that you can rent for events.The only bad thing that is making it 4 stars is the public restrooms here dont work

What a great public park. From Prairie Pete Playland (and all his buddies like OctoPete and the giant spider) to an aquatic center, to a skate park, to volleyball courts, baseball fields, a soccer pitch, and dozens of pavilions, this is a great place to take the family. Into fitness? Theres a mile-long trail around the outside of the park, and the east side has donated signs that give you fitness tips to try out with your children. Great, great place.

It is busy at a lot of the times but it is very nice to go there since it is really really fun.

Been going since I was a kid. No restrooms due to vandalism however.

My kids love this park. Theres plenty of open space for them to kick a ball around or run and play freely. The volleyball court serves as a great sand pit and the skate park is always fun. The actual playground sometimes has suspicious people standing around and makes me a little uneasy, so we dont visit that area.

Visited this park while in town visiting family. Apparently this park has been here for 50+ years, since my family began reminiscing about growing up in the park. Total coincidence. We enjoyed it, and so did our toddlers.

Beautiful park, but all the skate park is a place for drug dealer to sell kids drugs, the kids sit and smoke weed in plain sight and when Odessa PD drive by the dont even stop, I think there should be a officer should he onsite 24/7 until families can go here and enjoy the entire park not just 2/3rd of the park. Dont park anywhere near 49th street because that is the place they all drag race after they get high, and the 7/11 up the street cant sell them enough blunts and rolling papers so they opened up a cigarette store closer to the park
