Best park in Oceanside. Large mature trees, tons of shade. Volleyball courts, basketball courts, play structures, parking, restrooms, and a lot of open space. There are fire pits and picnic tables. The Citys Park & Rec department is a joy to work with for permits and events. Also, the ocean views to the west and mountain views to the east are breathtaking, beautiful location!

Lovely park. Small and pretty. Lots of grass, paths and open spaces. Family meet up location. Clean maintained restrooms.

I was here on a weekday morning so the park was not crowded and parking was not a problem. There is a walking, jogging, biking path that circles around the park. Also a small playground, and cooking areas. All but one visitor walked their dogs on leash. It looks as if there is only one restroom area, and not surprisingly, only one stall had toilet paper. It seems to be a quiet user-friendly park.

Lots of trees and room to run or have a picnic. outer rim is a nice jogging track. Decent playground

Great view of Oceanside. I love this park because of the spaciousness. It feels quite open, quiet, and peaceful. It’s location is on top of a hill, so it’s breezy & beautiful. There are a lot of trees, a lot of shade. Beach Volleyball court and basketball court, playground, and nice bathrooms.

Its a huge park. Since its so big, I have no idea why the dance class is taking up both basketball courts on a thursday evening. There is so much other space to do this, so my plan to check out the courts and get an hour of exercise in has completely failed and I dont want to sit here waiting for the courts to free up. There are people here picnicking, playing with pets, dancing, kids having fun. It looks like a fun place, as long as youre not trying to shoot hoops on a Thursday night. Left a bad first impression. If anyone know of other quality courts nearby, let me know.

Love it. Been going here since I was a child. I am 42. So a long time. Lots of green space. Just sucks the kids cant play on the play ground.

Always perfect! The park is setup to provide literally the best relief from direct sunlight while at the same time provides plenty of light and sun. I never have a bad time here everyone is always happy, and friendly

I like this park on weekdays- it’s not packed, clean and has a lot of space where if you didn’t want company you can be alone. Has a running path that is cement and about 1/2 a mile. The east side has picnic tables, bathrooms, playground, volleyball net, horseshoe rings, and parking. Big parties on the weekend... so it leaves the weekend kind of packed and trash everywhere after the parties. The west side is more of picnic tables and green grass. Good views of Oceanside toward the back.

This park has shaded tables with barbeque grills. They have 2 sections of swings 4 swings for big kids and 2 for toddlers. There is a play ground for 5 to 12 year olds and a train gym for toddlers. Bathrooms are clean and lots of trash cans.

Its a cute park. Theres lots of people there during all hours of the morning and day.However at night time this is not the safest park. Theres a lot of sketchy people doing sketchy things. I would never go there alone or even with one or two other people.The walking trails are pretty nice. Theres a playground for the kiddos too. All in all Id say its a fun park but leave once the sun goes down.

Expansive hillside location with lots of kids!

Buddy Todd is the best. Why arent more kids here?!? Its been mostly deserted the times we have gone. Great swings, great slides, and bathrooms!

Great place to go to relax, have a lunch or take a small walk. Lots of trees for shade in sunny days. Clean place.

Spacious park with lots of areas to have a picnic and reasonable parking. Lots of varies amenities (volleyball court, basketball, horseshoe setup, playgrounds, etc). Bathrooms were just OK, mostly because they are old.

Very nice neighborhood park! Play area for youngsters, volleyball area, horseshoes, winding trail and dog are welcome on leash. Only thing I find that I do not like is the restroom is cold, clammy and no soap!!!

This park is such an amazing surprise. I led a birding group through the park. It was the first time I had been there. The park is beautifully maintained, full of historical significance, and a birder’s paradise. One of the nicest parks in North County San Diego.

Buddy Todd is a great park for any activity you can think to do in the park. A great playground for the littles and it is huge so even if there are a lot of people enjoying the park you still have plenty of space without running over each other.

Went to a birthday party here. Its a very nice park! Lots of shade, lots of parking, lots of tables. Need more trash cans though to prevent the littering. I know the bathrooms are public park bathrooms, but they definitely needed some attention. The park itself though is great! Lots of fun for the kids and shady grassy areas to walk the pups. They had some poop bag stations too for doggy cleanup.

On a hot summer day this elevated location offers a sprawling panoramic view including a distant oceanview. Theres plenty of room for recreation in the grass, or find a shady tree to chill umder. A convenient location and its all free including the parking. Usually its not too busy during the non-holiday weekdays. Good fun for friends and family.

Very nice neighborhood park. Playground for the kids. Concrete picnic tables scattered around and plenty of shade trees. The mobile ice cream van is usually there at least on the weekend. Park has restrooms.

One of the few places in town where one can walk without worrying about traffic close by and be in a park at the same time. Benches are available along the paths as well at convenient spots.

Its a beautiful location the playground is awesome but the bathrooms are horrible no toilet paper dirty floors and walls! toilet paper everywhere on the floor no hand soap and sink is covered in grime it was absolutely disgusting

This is a beautiful park with a very long 2-mile running track. Its close enough to the beach to get a nice Ocean Breeze and a lot of green trees and grass. Dont come on the weekend if you dont like large crowds because onweekends lots of music in a lot of crowds.Dont come after Sunset because there is a lot of homeless people who go there to sleep at night

Buddy Todd ParkAlways great!!! Its on top of a hill and from there You can see a pretty good portion of the western area of Oceanside. Many go up there to breathe the flesh air coming from the Ocean, take a walk and watch the Sun Set. Its less than 10 minutes from my House and You can bring Your Children (there is recreational area for them) and Your Dogs (dont have to stay on a leash) and both are happy. The Park is always well kept and clean. And best, its all free and You can stay as long as You want.

One of the more impressive public parks Ive been to recently. There is plenty of lawn and trees to provide shade. The playground is divided into a few small sections, and the equipment is in reasonably good condition. There are decent amount of picnic benches available. Last but not least, the view is amazing. I would definitely recommend this park for birthday party, a morning stroll, or a spot to have a picnic.

They have redone the park since I last came here and it was excellent. Everyone was having a nice friendly time, the play structure was full of kids and there is multiple park benches. Lots of grass to spread out on and plenty of parking. I highly recommend this park but if you are having over 50 people, you need a permit

This park is beautiful but the bathrooms are revolting. Bring your own soap and toilet paper. There is urine allover the floors. No toilet paper and no soap.

Beautiful scenery and very enormous, covered by tall trees and has a playground and swing set for kids! Parking is fair but you can also park on the main Street. Has basketball courts and theres always an ice cream truck! Has tables and BBQ area! Also if your a Pokemon go player has a gym and few stops at the park!Highly recommend bringing the family! Just please make sure you throw your trash and recycles away!
