Great place to just sit back and relax. If you want some fresh air, get out and walk around. This is a safe space to do either! There are often people hiding painted rocks or walking around playing virtual games. Something for everyone!I enjoy just sitting back and enjoying lunch in the area because it is a quiet, peaceful break for me.

A very well decorated park that showcases the dedication and numerous sacrifices made by our service members. The park is very large and features ample parking for different events such as Vietnam War Veteran recognitions. Just walking the park is enough to provide a sense of respect for current and past service members.

First off let me say how impressed I was, I hadnt had the chance to go since its induction, because I moved away and then joined the service myself, but to see it today on such a beautiful day it was magnificent, well put together tribute I thought I would be underwhelmed, it was definitely the opposite kudos to everyone associated with the project, if youre a local veteran and havent been take a trip up there. Ill provide just a small few of the photos I took while there.

I couldnt believe the amount of history on display there. Truly humbling experience to walk around reading all the monuments and information there. I highly recommend anyone thats a veteran or into the history of our veterans, let alone just to stop by and show your respect, truly one place you will want to stop and see. Beware of where you park. For some areas are for Veterans or Combat Injured Vets only.

My father was a veteran. He was army Special Forces Green Beret National guard. even though my dad wasnt from this area or probably had never even been in Ocala its still a great place to think of him and his service. He was a true patriot who taught me that freedom isnt free. This park honors the veterans lives that were sacrificed for our freedom.

Always a wonderful place to walk. I appreciate Marion County having this memorial and being able to walk this facility and remember all those who served. Very close to the library, wide sidewalks, we rock hunt and place here, also has lots of “phone activities” geocaching, Pokémon, Ingress etc. It is safe and well lit at night with lots of parking and holds wonderful meaningful events with lovely volunteers and staff. Has a flag retirement station and a man that periodically arrives to play the bagpipes, which is just gorgeous. Wonderful place to walk with kids, dog friendly on leash, and safe.

This park is beautiful. It is serene, and it is also very well kept. There is such a calmness here, as everyone that visits shows reverence out of respect for those veterans who have fallen. I work near y and enjoy coming here on my lunch break to reflect and appreciate our veterans. It makes a great place for an afternoon stroll, and there are a few picnic tables nearby as well. In the afternoon, you can hear bagpipes playing. Its beautiful.

Each time I walk through the Veterans Park, I feel the real heartbeat of America! Although my name is there on a brick as a supporter and as a veteran who served, as well as my late husband, I felt especially proud today as I shared time with my grandson at the strawberry festival and decided to tour the park, where my grandson found his daddys name, Rinard Daniels as a proud member of the 351st who proudly served! While touring other areas of the veterans memorial park, my grandson came upon some numbers and wanted to know what they were. I pointed to the word above written in bold print and he sounded the word, Casualties. That was our sight word of the day. Naturally, if you know me, you know the word was followed by the definition and a brief History lesson. (Never forfeit a teachable moment) ... GOD, please continue blessing America.Rose NannaBoo Cohen.
