Nicole place. Awesome for a family picnic I havent been in the pool but I hope its nice. Beautiful redwood Grove. And the archery range isnt far.
Grate place for kids and generally to cool your self, in the middle of a massive forest of mostly young redwoods.
Very nicenplace to take your family, pool on the left, park on the right and great parking. I would suggest you go early, there is no chlorine in the pool. So the more people, the more you know what.
Its fine if you come with the right expectation -- outdoor public pool with dated shower facility and occasional challenging weather even with heated water. Went for two weeks straight and experienced cold temperature and foggy condition known to Oakland hills three days non-stop in the morning for swimming lessons. Not a good situation for our first-timer who is sensitive to temperature and pool.Regarding men facility, it has two stalls with good hot shower that is button activated on timer, but showed age and no outlet available for hairdryer. The latch lock also does not work in shower stalls.Has vending machines for snacks and drinks. The water temperature is low 80s per my Casio Pathfinder on sunny day. Nearby playground is great after swimming.
Didnt go to the pool, attended a baby shower. The park area was clean and more than enough space for this family event.
Best public pool I have seen. 25 yards length. shallow half goes to 4.5 feet. On laborday, shallow end fill with parents and young kids. 4 life guards on duty at all times today. Brief swim test to get white band and access to deep end. nestled in the redwoods above Oakland. I need to find out it there is an adult swim for laps.
The surroundings are beautiful. The 14 year old life guard was taking great pleasure in failing people on the swim test (you have to do a swim test in order to be in the 6-8 feet section) Grown men over six feet were being failed. Hilarious. We had fun
It was a good place I loved it!
Nice pool in a great location! The only thing Id recommend is if you have little kids, go early as later on it gets crowded and theres kids splashing. Plenty of parking and admission is cheap
Great park. $5 parking fee. We love to have lunch under the redwoods and then let the kids play at the park.
Great place to walk
Great pool clean and nice on a hot day
Fantastic. We been enjoyed my daughter wedding reception.
This pool does not treat people with coordination disabilities with respect. My son was not permitted to swim in the deep end in spite of passing ever other swim test at every other pool. He is unable to smoothly coordinate his arm strokes so they failed him. We left and got a refund. Dont support ablism, stay away from East Bay regional pools.
After 30 min a lawn chair and table opened up allowing me to have a great time.
Took my son swimming here. There was a lot of people but I guess everyone is just trying to stay cool this summer!
This is my favorite pool. i have been swimming here for 7 years and this is also where i learned to be a swimmer. it is in the middle of a beautiful redwood park and up the hill there is a lovely playground and down the hill there is a beautiful baseball field. i love this place will all my heart
Talk about your extreme vetting! We just went to this pool for the first time and found they require every person to take a swim test. I was there with my two daughters all of us are excellent swimmers. The swim test consists of: swimming freestyle only back and forth across the pool, followed by 30 seconds of treading water. A few things: 1. I have NEVER been asked to take a swim test at a pool. I am an adult. 2. When you freestyle, if your arms dont come all the way out of the pool, no pass. 3. When treading water, if you chin and/or ears touch the water, no pass. My daughters passed the freestyle test but my 9 year olds ears touched the water as she was treading, so she was not passed. When we first got there, we noticed the shallow end had (no joke) at least 50 people and the deep end only had like 6-7 people. We soon found out why!! It was ridiculous! We left after 5 minutes because there were too many people in the shallow end to swim or play. We were basically just standing there. My kids were super disappointed. We will never come here again. Which is unfortunate since the pool is not far from our house.
I loved this park. I lived here from 1959 to 1070. Both my brother and I learned to swim at the pool, played on the playground, which had a Baby pool for toddlers. Our grandparents lived 2 miles away, so we have lovely memories of Roberts.
Good balance of sun and shade, and soft grass nearby to lay in the sun.
A community favorite
Small but amazing setting, set in the middle of beautiful redwoods. Good facilities, reasonable entry fee, friendly staff and lifeguards
Great pool with pick nick grounds in the redwoods. Great on a hot day.
The best place ever there is tons of trees and space to put a set up there and there is a huge park and a nice pool#gotoRobertsPool
Great cheap swim lessons for kids!

Our favorite playground in the woods
Beautiful, clean, awesome playground
This is a great place
BEautiful scenery, great staff, lots of park benches, play equipment, views, and trails
Nice play structure for kids, can get quite crowded though.
I came with my children the lady on the gate said it is for registered people I have to to come back at 11 oclock when open for public, that is a bad, there is no information in their website about the the privet and public hours.
