I djd the grand reopening! Community members, city officials, and dignitaries alike were in attendance. Beautiful renovation that was long overdue for a legendary rec center that I grew up literally around the corner from!

Wow. This brand new city facility is a nice spot at Seminary and International. Basketball courts and modern buildings with lots of computers, all for public use. Free after school program for local schools, transportation provided. Shares the lot with DACA, offering free classes in cooking, music. Organic garden. Parking lot is off Seminary, with several E-car charging stations.

They fixed this rec center up! I grew up in Oakland and I came here often. It was very nice to my old favorite rec center is pretty much new again! Everything I loved about this center is upgraded and so much cleaner. I just hate that the people in Oakland treat it like an old stinky shoe, when its really a hidden gem! Great job Rainbow for changing things, it really looks beautiful!

This is probably the cleanest, nicest, and well kept parks in East Oakland. The city really out did themselves on the remodel of Rainbow Recreation Center/park /playground. SO MY FELLOW OAKLANDERS... LETS KEEP IT CLEAN AND GRAFFITI FREE

Im a member of a seniors group that meets here, its a really nice place, new building, nowhere near adequate parking though.

It is a nice place but very closed off

One of my most fav spots to shoot hoop Ive been coming here since the 90s guess you can say I grew up here the staff members our very nice and welcoming. Upgrades and remodeling soon should bring this building up to date. A great place for kids and families come check everything they have going on or just come show some love

THIS place is awesome has sporting events for you and your family very family oriented. Its been good to the community. Come here check it out

Closed in tell the summer of 2019 The only thing staying is skateboard park, basketball courts and gym.

Best part if the neighborhood is seeing this place be a safe haven for the kids

They have a nice food giveaway on Saturday. The center is always full of children inside and out.

Loved this place my babies used to play there sometimes....

I went here as a kid and it was great programs and I still hear that they are great with kids.

My class would go about 3 times a week here. They have basketball courts one indoor and three outdoors. They have a skatepark I think that they will add gym equipment after they finish reconstructing cause I helped move it around to the indoor basketball court. Faculty was also really kind sometimes giving food to the people in need. From when I walk by it seem that they arent working efficiently on finishing the construction cause everyday it seems similar to the last.

Park is open with new Rec building, resurfaced basketball court, soccer field, and jogging path.

I love this recreational center, Ive been going there since I was a 3Rd grader. Even my 6yr. Old son plays there now. The staff has always been a part of the neighborhood family.
