Neat park with lots of history. Im excited to come back and get a closer look at everything next time. This would be a great place to bring kids probably 7-10 who can read and appreciate all the stories on the plaques and whatnot. I definitely would have enjoyed it at that age.
A very nice place for families and kids to go have I there anybody take that opportunity to go there
Im impressed by the local movement to upkeep this important piece of Oakland history. Im glad that it exists to serve as a reminder that minority groups were an important part of this nations development.
This was closed when I visited, by my daughter had done a report for her Masters and was able to tell us all about it. Very enlightening. A lot of the Paintings are outside on walls. So there is plenty to see even when it is closed.
Loved it ..the picture and memory making opportunities are many ..very cute and open for family gatherings
I lived right next door to this place Although inside is very beautiful the history they have is very nice but lets not talk about the park next door right next door to them where you find a lot of people smoking and doing other harmful drugs the park needs to Kept up better more garbage cans need to be around there also some of the pictures are lying they dont have a little bridge they dont have animals there its a place that a lot of homeless people hang out at at the bottom of the historic park that is all connected together the bathroom they have their are public But they are closed and no one can use them and theyre all tagged up the city needs to take care of this other than that inside of the house its nice it gives you could history but everything around it on the outside is very sad. Be careful you dont find any needles and other stuff at your children could accidentally grab.
Nice little historical park/museum complete with kids play structure and community garden. Technically there is a second lower-tier area with a creek running through it but it is skummy because locals hangout and trash it.
Participated in the Ohlone Daily Life program. This is an amazing field trip thats highly engaging and informative for students AND chaperones!!! This place is an absolute gem, and I love coming here!
Great interaction for chaperones and students. Chaperone involvement is must.
Haunted park. A historic place to have creepy experiences.
Pretty good spot to let the dog run and the staff at the Peralta house are friendly.
The staff seem to be ok but the surrounding park has not been maintained for quite a few years.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff to guide and teach you an honest history of the area. Nice area for kids to play and a community garden make this a worthwhile stop.
Great exhibit on immigrant and undocumented stories. Also a dubious but very fun swing
I read good reviews and decided to take my boys. It was very disappointing to see how abandoned and small the place is. Some guys were smoking weed behind the house, not friendly. The good thing is that a construction crew was starting work so maybe there will be improvements. I hope they had communicated something on the website, maybe I missed it.
I heartily recommend coming on a day when you can take the tour. The garden is lovely small, and the park delightful.
Beautiful community space, with basketball court, art pieces, statues, and a playground.
Amazing beautiful place! This park is the location of the first permanent dwelling in the East Bay. Antonio Peralta built an Adobe on this spot in 1821 just 2 blocks from my house and where I walk my dogs twice daily
Nice, but needs tons of TLC
You seen one park.....this aint that one.......Im kidding this one is kool
I go here to do thi chi in the early mornings. I get a piece of mind
Fascinating place with lovely historic buildings.
Best place for field trips. Learn about the living experience in pre Oakland... Native Americans and the early non native settlers. Nice community garden too. This place deserves some support.
Nice little museum in a historic house. The public park next to it could be better kept up.
Great park for just a soul search or a way to get out without spend buku money.
This park has gone through renovations over the years and it looks great. It has a nice size feild with a play structure for toddler on the upper level and the lower level is surrounded by trees with with a tiny Creek and bridge
It is getting better. Less trash, the playground is getting fixed up. The house itself could use some help.
Great park with lots of history long before Oakland was modernized. Has no parking lot but does have a visitors center that looks like a house. The staff also hosts kid programs and community gardens.
The first time Ive tried roller skating in a very long time
Hi There Im Jackie, The Young lady was VERY Informative, Excited About Her job and Giving Us a Tour, But it Was Closed.
An AMAZING community gathering point-where history, culture & unity is felt! Dont miss the free Peralta house tours. I do have to admit though, it gets a bit shady after dark
The park has a potential, but it needs lots of TLC .... Besides early Oakland history museum ( barely open), the ACE Summer Camp is there and all the garbage around, cracked booze bottles and who knows what, is exactly where kids are playing Not to mention that lots of teens doing their stuff there ...Since they try to bring the community together, especially in summer, the place really needs some efforts ... Just not safe and vibrant ...
Great for small picnics and different occasions. I believe that you can rent the inside out for parties also very nice location.
This is worth a visit if you have a little time to spare. this is a pocket park in the making, right now there is a changing display with numerous 1st person neighborhood resident stories. where they came from, when they came, what they endured on the way. extremely moving. if you think that the united states may not be the best place to live, go read these stories. you will come away thankful to be here
Historic. Unbelievable was to find Che Guevara in the geanologic tree of the Peralta family. Sadly only the first floor of the house was kept for exhibition. The second floor where the bedrooms were are now offices.
Amazing place to be with family, explore the museum and learn more about Peralta Hacienda Historical Park & Museum. Learn about the adobe that once use to stand there and the remains of them
This park is amazing, a cool piece of history near a creek. Very cute little playground and community garden.
Very nice big yard but should more sitting benches.
This a gem! Excellent exhibit right now about undocumented day laborers. A must see!
Kool park. I love the art work and its spacious
Learn the diverse history of Oakland at one of the first immigrant settlements. Many interpretive signs and outdoor exhibits. Situated on one of Oaklands many hillside creekways, you can see nature peaking through the grid.
This is a quaint little park, with a museum thats the real gem. You can learn so much about the history of Oakland and the Ohlone Native Americans.
A very nice place to visit.
Great place! Old Oakland history.
Everything was pretty decent, nice view on the bench of a hill but now its full of a lot of people doing bad habbits, homeless people, horny teenagers taking up benches, grass is dried up, lots of creeps trying to harrass me & my friends. The park became abruptly dirty & creepy..
Construction currently going on in a section for a few months. House still open and most of the park
Cool park to chill
The home seems amazing but the day we arrived it was closed.
Sad and fascinating history.
Beautiful community very diverse and caring
Great summer camps.
I love the concept but the museum is always closed and there are often drug dealers in front of the museum and in the park.
Good park
