Beautiful and tranquil beach, with less crowds than the rest of the state park. It features multiple beaches along with clean amenities like picnic tables and bathrooms. You can hike a short distance to the rest of Deception Pass.Remember to bring your Discover Pass, and arrive early if it’s a summer weekend - though parking here is easier than throughout the rest of the park.
Loved it. And the people who were giving the guide on the tide pools were awesome. The girl was very informative and happy to answer any questions you have. Very polite and friendly, made our experience even better. Park was clean, lots of open area to explore. Love the views from every direction. I love this place and whole area.
Less of a trail than a meandering walk. Curiously, a sign pointing to the left said there were dangerous areas- there were not. Meanwhile, the right portion of the loop had some steep sections with mini scrambles up and down rocks and roots that would be extremely difficult for disabled people, elderly, etc. Shouldnt the danger sign face that way?
Fun trail connecting Rosario Beach with Bowman Bay, and the Deception Pass bridge. The trail has some steep, rocky sections which are shaded by forest tree cover, while still affording excelent views looking across Bowman Bay. Upon reaching Bowman Bay, you have a relatively flat walk along Bowman Beach, before heading back in to the trees for the last push to the bridge.
I love the ease of getting to the trails. I like to have the option of a trail walk or just walking and enjoying the asphalt loop.
From the parking lot you can follow the path and once you hit the statue of the native American holding a salmon. Head up the trail on the left side and you will end up at the ledge overseeing the water. Brought some take out and had a great picnic there. Would suggest bringing a sitting matt/blanket because it is quite rocky. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy the view.
Check the tide timing and be there at low tide. You should see typical tidal pool critters. The were a number of trails. The best was the loop around the peninsula. According to my nephew, occasionally you will see whales but the only sea creature we saw was a harbor seal and it was a long way out. The only negative was that there was a lot of people.
Lovely trailhead . amazing views and fun for kids too . kind of hard to find the trail though until u figure out u have to walk through a campground and the trail starts walking through a camp site . no signs anywhere .
Love this place. Clean, dog and family friendly. Bring you own trash bags though. You pack it in you pack it out. No trash cans avaliable.
Wonderful views and sunset spot! Park closes at dusk (roughly 30 minutes after sunset) so great spot.
Beautiful, but just too crowded on Labor Day. Great beaches, water too cold for swimming. Nice hiking trails.
Tons of little well maintained trails and a access to a couple beaches. Awesome tide pools. Trails lead to beautiful views.
Great views, a bit busy, clean bathrooms, lame tidepools. Worth a visit for the vistas.
This is a beautiful place to visit️
Awesome quiet place to hike, kayak, and rock hound
A New Yorkers first hike. WOW. Beautiful scenery and easy terrain. Crowded though, with masks and social distancing not widely visible.
Little bit of a walk to get here or you can ride your bike. Good place for a sunset.
Great spot for a walk and picnic. Wasnt crowded.
Beautiful view and great for swimming and easy hikes. Was a little busy but people maintained social distance well.
Rosario Beach in Deception Pass is a gem to behold. This is a very popular short walk. The hills are steep and no barriers but just have to be extra cautious when taking photos close to th4 edge. The tidepools are not that fascinating but it is worth a look just for curiosity sake. The restrooms are ultra clean. A must place to visit when in this vicinity!
There are short hikes to overlook the Sound, and Bowman Bay. Access to a beach with tidepools, and lots of picnic and grassy areas. Great for families with small children.
Easy climb to the view of the sound.
Beautiful views in every direction. It does get super busy on a Beautiful PNW day, though.
We used to live in the area. This is a glorious Pebble Beach with rocks to climb on and an incredible view of the Sound/Sea of Salish.
Refreshing and scenic, with pebbly beaches, scattered driftwood, and majestic cliffs. Sometimes crowded, but definitely worth a visit.
Nice short hike with exceptional views.
This is a great little mini hike with gorgeous views. Lots of wildlife to see and beautiful sunsets. Its easy to feel like youre on a little tiny island when nobody else is around.
Peaceful and quiet. Recommend
Its a beautiful place to have picnics and walk around. You can even walk along the water.
We always love coming out here for the views and great trails
Very pretty place for a morning walk.
It was the best place to take the kids. They stayed busy for hours even though it was cold but sunny. They had a great time:)
Very easy to access for most any one. Great place for picnic when its warm. Beautiful views. Has parking lot.
Worth the hike...the hike is rated easy at all trails...but it was not easy...
Love the views. Want to do it again
Nice park beautiful views and sand beach!
Beautiful place to come bbq and watch the sunset
Gorgeous area to hang out next to the puget sound.
Loved this little hike! Such a great view to look at. Just be careful of the cliff side. We saw some people being not so smart and sitting on the edge. Very risky. Beautiful almost 360 view at the top. Its just a short walk from the car. Wouldnt call it a hike. Great place for photos with loved ones. Great place for the dogs. Beach is there. Boat dock is there. Tide pools. Bbqs and bathrooms. Loved getting to see it on such a beautiful and sunny day. It does require a state park pass though and the ranger does check so be mindful when going. We bought out year pass online and were able to write our pass number on the little envelope they provide you at the park. Otherwise its 10$ for the visit.
Beautiful!!!! Words cannot explain.
This place is so beautiful. There is a totem pole here with the story of the maiden of Deception Pass.
Beautiful clean beach.
Omg.. I love this Park so much, so clean and good park..
Great place, especially if you with small kids. Many things at one location: great views, beach with some sealife, you may hike few steps and get to the hill for astonishing view, without kids you can get to some rock above water points. And it is great for picnics. Due to location and water may have quite cool winds, so better to have extra layers even in a sunny day just in case.
Great place to spend Sunday morning!
Tide pools, and great dive location.
Unique place, defentely need to visit.
Easy trail with a great view!
Beautiful trails and beach.
Very nice clean trails, glad we got semi lost taking unknown roads found this gem
Beautiful views. Easy to intermediate skill level. Large drops however, keep a close eye on small children.
Great place for a walk by the sea. Pet friendly.

Beautiful view and fun trails.
Very scenic location with lots of areas for picnicking and hiking. A bit off the tourist maps which is a good thing, but well worth the trip.
Beautiful views
Nice scenery; moderately taxing hikes/walks
Gorgeous place near deception pass to hike and if the tide is out far enough, you can see a lot of sealife in the tidal pools.
Awesome views of puget sound. Easy hike to top
