This little park is nice. It is right on the beach, it has maybe 12 parking places ad a wonderful view. There are about 5 picnic tables just above the beach, 2 of which are under an outdoor pavilion roof ( open sides ). There is a drinking fountain and faucet near the tables on the flat area about 10 feet higher than the high tide. There is a single use permanent waterless toilet adjacent to the parking area. The park is kept well groomed and is small but inviting.
Great place for family picnic, family fun and birthday parties. Most definitely great place for sight watching, relaxing and Sandy Beach. Is everything you want it to be. Enjoy
It was a nice time. Peaceful quiet not a lot of people
Our favorite beach spot to take our 7 year old. Sandy areas and beautiful views.
Amazing view... Lots of space easy access to the beach...
Never cease to amaze me. We love this place. Great place to chill and take a stroll.
Limited parking but a nice quiet beach
This is one of our favorite places to have a quiet picnic and watch the waves crash in while watching the sun set.
Nice enough but Ebey Landing was nicer.
Beautiful beach, nice trails for short hike and nice picnic facilities.
Simple, easy to get to the great place for a lovely afternoon
This place is definitely awesome to explore, and trailblazers in some situations :-). And the beach is also very fabulous in the light lol
My most favorite beach in Oak Harbor
Great views and a historical spot!
A wonderful place to walk. When the tide i@ out you have a nice sandy path to walk. If the tide is in, there is an inland path to take..
My wife, son and I love to take the loop trail. The trail is easy enough for him to walk at 17 months old and we have a blast. A lot of the times you can find a painted rock or two if you are looking around. Did I mention there are tons of BlackBerry bushes?
Beautiful view across the sound to the San Juans and Vancouver Island. Has a nice beach too watch the sunset from and picnic tables.
Best of both worlds...land and sea.
It is quite and beautiful place
Good place to walk.
Absolutely stunning. I came out here from California and this is just beautiful beach and close by is a forest an in that Forest was a pagan ritual pit that was covered in a very beautiful I came out here on a Sunday with my family I would recommend it highly five stars small place to park and theres a restroom in plenty of benches throughout the park. Enjoy
Great place to watch the sun set
Picnic benches, grills, a covered area down by the beach and lots of fun casual walking trails to explore. Its a good place for a picnic, just try not to go with a full bladder. The bathroom is just an outhouse that is serviced... occasionally? Still, you dont go to nature for the bathrooms.
Great place to take your dogs. My Daisy and I walk the trails every morning. Beautiful park!
Beautiful spot with a nice easy hiking trail up from the beach. Beach is rocky, but has great views of the olympics and San Juan islands. Nice covered picnic area, and easy street parking if you dont have a discovery pass to park in the lot.
Love it and the hike was awesome
Always a great time with family and friends. W.I.R. always keeps the trail interesting. Plus nothing like having the beach and forest touching.
Ocean beach.. plenty of view..
Relatively small state park with a spectacular view of the strait of Juan de fuca. The park is off the beaten track and because of this we essentially had the beach to ourselves and were able to beach comb to our hearts content. Not many amenities here, but there are picnic tables to sit at, have a bite to eat, gaze out at Lopez Island, Canada and just forget about life for a while.
Great little walk along a more private beach
Nice place for a destination run!
Very nice however a bit loud due to constrution
Beautiful historical park, a must see to appreciate!!
Neat place. Easy to get to, trail network running throughout the park. The trials are host to: Hikers, Runners, Bikers, Horseback Riders, etc. Connects to West Beach. My favorite place to take my bike for an afternoon ride.
A nice place to bring children to still on the beach and look for sea life.
My daughter and nephew and I enjoyed the main loop trail. It was peaceful and serene. Its a shame that its not open for biking.
10 degrees cooler by the water. Beautiful views, walking paths. Lovely!
Thanks again Have fun at Joseph Whidbey state park.t
I love this place
Cool place. Found a few cool things, e.g. rocks, etc. Wasnt sure if the beach was closed where the military sign was on the land side.
Serene beach
I had lots and lots of fun here its so peaceful and so beautiful and I really enjoyed being with my family
Absolutely beautiful.
Peaceful clean and tranquil
Absolutely beautiful.
Great place to reflect. One of the best spots in Oak Harbor for the sunset,Good place to bring dogs or kids.
My family and I love coming here. The trails are nice and peaceful. Pretty flat so it would be an easy first trail to start on. It can get pretty muddy after the rain so watch out. You can never get tired of the water and scenery.
A 2 mile hike if you include both side routes. Can get muddy. Great place to find and hide painted rocks.
Love rock hunting! Beautiful place
Always professional!
Nice quiet beach. This is also one of the camp/rest area locations for the West Coast canoe routes. There is a very nice gentle trail through the woods that lets out into a field as well as the beach walk. There are also picnic and bbq areas with beautiful views.
The views are iconic Northwest beauty and the sunsets are epic
Night sky stars
Very nice and peaceful great place to sit and admire the ocean view
Rocky beaches n clean enough solitude to enjoy time to yourself nice picnic tables n BBQ pits.
What an amazing Park beautiful views trails good place for picnic.
Nice park to walk your dog.
Beautiful place, peaceful (with seagulls)
Beautiful and peaceful
One of my families favorite walks. Deep dark woods full of life and trails, prairie lands with late summer blackberries and beach access. This park has it all.
Beautiful hiking area. The foliage here is so diverse. Go out and explore. You wont regret it.
Great park with hiking, biking, and water activities. Great sunsets as well.
Intriguing views of the San Juan Islands & the Washington/Canadian border.
Good for trail running..lots of wooded trails above and along the beach..walking the dog...but the beach is really Rocky and is very sea smelly...not sandy at all. Had some nice picnic spots too.
Has great trails and beach access and walking.
I love this place i go like daily
Nice little beach you can access easily. You cant walk very far north as we found out, they keep a military guard on the beach about a half mile north of the parking lot to turn people around.
Awesome place....just bring a sweatshirt
Ive been coming here since I was a kid. You can walk along the beach for what seems like miles, combing through the sand and rocks as the waves break at your feet. When the tide goes out, the vast sand flats are exposed.Hot summer days are great for a picnic and swimming, while the windy fall/winter months are great for storm watching.
Great place to do a nature walk with the dog.
A small little park on the coast with nice picnic area and good view. Good for beach walking.
Perfect place to do my homework in the sun! Pack a lunch even better
Nice quiet and secluded beach.
It was beautiful
Gorgeous, and I was able to relax and be myself here
Very rocky so step carefully. Beautiful pebbles and driftwood.
This is one of my favorite beach front parks on Whidbey island. Beautiful and relaxing.
Had a wonderful day
Fun place to look for rocks and other treasures with young ones. Quite scenic and clean
This park is not well known and generally is uncrowded. If you want a beach without mobs in the summer, this is the park for you. Trails can be muddy in rainy season but the plants and wildlife are well worth a bit of mud and the worst spots can be easily worked around. This is one of my best secret dragonfly photography destinations.
My fav spot for an easy hike..and doggie friendly!!!
Love the beach. Beautiful day
This is a nice little State Park that borders on the west by Puget Sound. A nice place for a walk on the beach or with your pet.
