Was a great day for a walk on the nature trail. We went out this morning on this beautiful August Saturday and had the trails to ourselves. ️ We had some rains last night so we did have to trek thru some muddy areas. Thankfully, they had put some asphalt down in many areas reducing the amount of time in the mud. Witnessed a gathering of turkeys in the open field. Lots of wonderment and the peaceful quiet journey along the path taking pictures of the Flora here and there listening to the birds and watching a tiny toad crossing the path 3 times. Even found a pretty painted rock that made my heart smile, too. Thank you kind sir and ready. Random acts of kindness are always joyful.
The main loop was about point 6 miles,i think. Plenty of opportunity for taking other trails off the main loop. Benches in shade pretty often on main loop. Very close to Harvey County Park and lake.
Needs to be better marked. Had some very muddy areas. Otherwise, not a bad trail with different terrains.
