Love this spot. You can watch all the boats coming in and out. You can watch people canoeing and kayaking. I love it when the waves hit the Rocks its so relaxing. Lots of people have their dogs with them.

Been going to this place since I was a kid. Great views, free parking and live music on Sundays! Bring a picnic and enjoy!

My mother dorothy yeomans donovan went see her at 12:34pm I told her I love you mom and said to mom your beautiful and she passed away on oct 2 2020 and she was 94 as kid she went down kings park swimming with her friend and kings park was her favorite place and I like walk down there from 248 park holm its on my favorite parks now it I will spend most time there now because special park to me like was to my mother dorothy yeomans donovan and iam her son william donovan jr

This is just a small strip of gras next to the road that is about a thousand feet long and 50 feet wide. its barely a park.I saw a bunch of high schoolers here taking prom pictures or something . There were a ton of them.i wonder what its like to be a teenager growing up in this area so far from the city....

This is a nice park. Due to it being October, parking was free. There are clean public bathrooms and a small play ground. The picnic area is large and covered. We enjoyed watching all the boats come in and out of the marina. Good place for walking and families.

Beware of seagulls. Its a great park to hangout or take a stroll. You can get a clear view of the bridge to Newport.There is not a lot going on here so its calm and relaxing.

King park is a great resource provided by the city of Newport. Every time we come to the island we try and visit the park and take a quick walk. Theres a gazebo, benches, restrooms, picnic area, playground, and two beaches. Its a smaller sized park but theres plenty of things to do.

Beautiful setting on Newport Harbor away from the crowds.

Beautiful location at the beginning of Wellington Avenue, views of the Newport Bridge, Ida Lewis Yacht Club/Former Lime Rock Lighthouse and Fort Adams. Property was donated to the City of Newport by The King family. This location features a statue of French General Rochambeau, who along with 6,000 troops landed in this location and assisted colonial Newport with ridding the city of the British occupation. Great location for picnics, sightseeing, sunset views of Newport Harbor. Also, great location to view cruise ships that anchor offshore near this location. Playground on sites and restrooms, too.

Nice part to bring kids or a dog. There is a little each area. The grass likes to collect puddles so watch out.

One of my favorite spots in Newport

Nice little park in south end of Newport. The playground for the kids is fun, it has a structure with picnic tables under it & grills for cooking. The beach is small but perfect for little children cause theres no waves. It does have bathrooms & showers.

Sunny, Fall day this Veterans day. Great time picking up shells with the kids and studying the little crabs under the rocks. Kids had a great time walking the wall and playing on the playground.

Great place for a picnic and a swim! One of the few little beaches (quite rocky) were dogs are allowed in season.

Kids mostly play at the playground and swings. Bathrooms close by. Lines were out the door but clean. Water was great rocky bottom. Band played. Busy.

I am a local, but I still love to go to Kings Park every summer and fall to lounge, people watch and enjoy the ocean view. It is also never crowded, which is huge in the the high season here.

We have been visiting this park since my child was born. Just be careful of bacteria in the water ... Like seriously. Otherwise, great views of the bay and bridge plus areas to have a picnic and a playground.

Newport at its most picturesque. Sunset there is so peaceful.The public restrooms are not open after September.

Its a great park. A beautiful view of the harbor. Along with the water view there is a wonderful mix of people, kids, and dogs enjoying the area as well. The ball park brings a nice family vibe to the park also. Theres shady spots under mature trees and a cute beach too.

Nice, clean park with great views of the Newport Bridge and surrounding bay. Parking is a little tough to find & it is metered.

This park offers a small beach perfect for children ages 2 to 10. If you like kyacking there is a rental booth offering every kind of kyack. The ocean view is spectacular.
