Red Hill is the first winery we visited on mothers day weekend. we had such a wonderful experience there. their wine tastes outstanding and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their wine. the person who helped us that day was super nice. if I wasnt tipsy already I should have been able to remember his name.The outdoor seating on the balcony has beautiful view. the area right in front of the winery is perfect for family with little kids. I saw kids running around having fun when the parents relaxing and having glass of wine. we absolutely enjoyed our time there.

It’s the first winery we checked on our Oregon trip. @rexhillvyds specializes mostly on Pinot Noir wine produced in the Willamette Valley. Such a great place for the Pinot Noir lovers. We did a tasting of 4 wines, three PN and a Chardonnay, and Rose served as a compliment. Small bites in the menu and beautiful view trough the window. Not dog friendly inside. Favorite wine from here is - 2015 Rex Hill La Colina Vineyard Pinot Noir

Short drive from downtown Portland. My wife and I tried several wines while viewing a nice scenic area and winery, took some great pics and definitely will go back. Next time going to hire a limo and experience more wines and wineries in the area.

RHV is the epitome of why I like to venture out while traveling for work. As a recommendation, my friend and I visited RHV thinking it would be another winery with decent wines and good way to spend some down time. When we walked into the tasting room it was set in an old cellar like room with a round table in the middle. The table was set with dozens of glasses filled with an array of spices and herbs to smell. As odd as it sounds, it was a pretty neat experience and you could easily correlate the scents to the wines.Now to the good stuff...wine. RHV has two tasting menus, an every day list of wines and a reserve list. The every day list is $15-$20 for about six wines and the reserve is $30 for three (I think) wines. You can tell how much I sampled by the fogginess of the details I remember.They also have some munchies and a nice charcuterie board for purchase too.I cannot speak highly enough about some of their Pinot Noirs. They have some very complex wines at both higher end prices ($328 for a magnum bottle of their 2000 PN) and some more affordable prices ($~50 for a 2018 PN). The 2000 PN we sampled was probably one of the best wines Ive ever tasted. I bought several bottles of the newer vintage in hopes itll age as well as what we sampled. I am a RHW fan, for sure!

Great wines and beautiful atmosphere and nature.

We stopped here for some wine tasting and it was fantastic.Karen was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different wines, the grapes and their regions. Thank you Karen for the great experience. My favorite wine was their Pinot noir blend, from all their regions.

Beautiful winery stop off of 99. Glorious rose gardens. Terraced landscape is great to sip Rose in.

This was the first winery we stopped at on our trip, and unfortunately it was close to closing time so we couldn’t take as much time as we wanted. The wines were very good - I’m not a Chardonnay drinker, but theirs was wonderful and made me change my mind.

Superb wines. Superb staff. You will not be disappointed. The library wine flight is my personal favorite. If you ever have a whim to go wine tasting, do not miss this spot.

Absolutely loved this place. It was our first wine off the plane so we thought it was a fluke that we all enjoyed it so much. On our second trip the next day we all joined the wine club....Just great wine. Kasi was a real gem and did our tasting out in the garden. Highly recommended.

Was a bit disappointed with the service, the lady that presented the tasting seem distracted and unfriendly. Her response to our questions were short and snippy. We did purchase a couple of bottels of Rex Hill brand, I did ask her about the A to Z wine that was on sale and what that was all about, she said it was a sister company and gave us a list if we wanted to purchase from it, no explanation or enthusiasm. I did wish her a better day as we left.I feel the face that is presenting your livelihood should be knowledgeable and friendly, a person that has to plaster a fake smile is not it.

They advertised that they were going to have a BBQ event for memorial day weekend. I drove out specifically for that and they had a sign saying they were closed. It was a long disappointing drive.

Rex Hill A to Z is amazing! The wine is some of the best in the world and the staff are very educated on the wine they provide! I highly recommend this company!

Jonathan was our host and he was amazing! Beautiful winery and excellent wines!

The grounds and tasting room were beautiful, the wine was delicious, and we were served complimentary snacks with our tasting! Our sommelier (I believe his name was Jonathan) was so friendly and down-to-earth, and really took the time to help educate us on the wines even though it was very busy! We will definitely be back!

My sister and her daughter are visiting Portland from Beijing. I took them to Rex Hill for a relaxing afternoon. We all had a great time. We sat right outside the tasting room to so that we could enjoy the tranquil scenery. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable.

Had a very nice tasting there and the grounds are pretty as well. Liked the wine enough to buy some and bring it home.

Be aware if Herbert is serving. He is extremely particular about who should be his guest. We were treated fine until another different race of group of 4 showed up. He immediately told us to move to a corner and completely ignored us. He only poured us wine and then told us that hell give us time to think which bottles to buy without any explanation on anything. I wanted to buy two bottles of Pinot, and was also interested to know more about their rose. He didnt let me finish talking and said if you just want to buy a bottle of rose, you still have to pay the tasting fee. You have to buy two bottles to waive the fee. then he walked away to serve the other group. What the hack? Their wine is delicious for first time wine drinkers. If you have drunk a lot of wine, youll know that their Pinot does not worth $55/bottle. There are a lot of other wineries in the valley that are much better and reasonably priced. Especially when the service depends on their poor judgment on the size of your wallet, their wine makes me feel disgusting now.

This place is awesome. Tasting room staff is very friendly and the outdoor garden is perfect for a picnic lunch during the nicer months.

We had a tour with Johnathan, followed by a tasting with Herbert. Both were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The wines were very good, and the winery and vineyards were beautiful. Highly recommended!

The views here are gorgeous. The wine was delicious! It was nice to take a glass out on the patio. Brandon was very friendly and helpful and Jonathan dont ever stop wearing the bowtie!

One of the best boutique winery experiences with 45 min of downtown Portland. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Also home to A to Z wines, which have the most affordable Pinot Noir in the Valley.

The wine tour and tasting was great. Very nice lady doing it all for us. Wine was all a bit pricy for the quality though. Personal opinion, not experts.

Very good pinot noir at this vineyard, especially the 2014 and 2015. Bought a case and shipped it home.

REX HILL doesnt just make outstanding wines, have a beautiful vineyard, and exceptional staff... its also a pretty amazing place to be proposed to! I booked a reservation for a tasting on the afternoon of May 26th, but my boyfriend and Leanne, one of the staff members there, did some additional planning as well. Leanne greeted us, took us outside to describe the wines, vineyard, and history, and then brought us back in for our tasting. There werent an other reservations booked with us for that particular day, which worked out well quite well for the situation unfolding. After the proposal, Leanne provided us with our tasting as planned, helped us really celebrate the occasion, and even snapped off some pictures of the moment. Thank you so much Leanne and to REX HILL for making such a special moment in our lives even more special!!!
