Super friendly staff and gorgeous views of the area. Definitely will go back. Great name and back story behind the name and logo, ask about it when you go. We had a fabulous visit right at sunset/closing I would recommend getting one of the later tasting reservations, and the inside area is smaller so be prompt.
One of our favorite vineyards to visit. Clean tasting room with a wide variety of pinots to match the beautiful views of the valley. Highly recommend
Quoting a previous reviewer- the place and wine deserves 5 stars, and Phile deserves 6! LOVED and will highly recommend to everyone that comes here. Highlight of our trip
Yesterday was the second time I had come Eminent Domaine. Phil has been full of insight and very funny both times I’ve visited. The view is amazing and the wine is even better. I’d highly recommend!
I really enjoyed the wines and the service! It’s such a beautiful place.
The atmosphere is great. The staff is wonderful. The view is amazing. And the wine is so so good!
Great place to enjoy tasting and chill alone or with friends.(just FYI do not bring dogs with you if you dont want your car being scratch ️)
I was taken here by my wife for my 40th birthday and it was hands down the best wine . I love the story of the name as well being a government and politics teachers. I decided that I would get a club membership there because of the wine, the story, the ownership and the beautiful vineyard. Thank you and I cannot wait to bring more people to this place.
Great atmosphere and great wine
Another great time . Fantastic wine and great music.
Visited this place with friends. Loved the wine, scenery, and staff so much we decided to join their wine club. Looking forward to coming back frequently next season.
Worst customer service ever. Amazing views, and I wanted to love it here. Wines are just average and then you layer on horrible service and makes this one a no go. Depends on who you get. I guess we drew short straw this time.
The wine, the tasting room and that WOW view. Dont miss this place.
The story of the commencement of this winery is what got me in the front door. A true tale of turning lemons into lemonade. I must admit after my first experience here, I have I kept coming back season after season because it hits all of the marks: setting, hospitality and of course, their wines. The architecture of the tasting room is beautiful and contemporary complemented with Edison light bulbs throughout. But the room is not where I linger, it is their backyard. Eminent Domaine is located on top of the Ribbon Ridge AVA so you get to experience miles upon miles of panoramic views (all the way to the coastal mountain range). My favorite is when the fog is so low it dances on top of the douglas fir forest. The staff is fantastic and friendly! I am always greeted with a warm smile and many options as to how I would like to taste that day. I can always enjoy a flight or a glass of wine and my picnic lunch. Each time I visit, the staff teaches me something new about their wines or the area in general.Their Chardonnay never seems to stay on the shelf! Hot commodity! My favorite Pinot is their Hyland. It is socomplex and savory - perfect for these crisp Fall nights. But, I must admit, my favorite from their line up is their newly released Rosè. DELISH! It is not sweet, it is dry, it reminds me of apricots and peaches.Anyway, i could go on and on! Just Go! And be sure to give Benny, the King Charles and Miss Frankie, the mystery pooch a scratch on the belly. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing wines! Joined the club on our first visit and love coming back. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Views are spectacular especially from the back patio. Events are fun, really enjoyed watching the eclipse there while enjoying a glass. A dont miss stop if you are in the area.
Unfortunately, we must have drew the short straw too. I was really looking forward to this vineyard and tasting because of the name, since I am in the legal field. Upon entering the tasting room, we were overwhelmed with the beauty and view. Then, after approaching the counter, it all went downhill. Sadly, two of the four in our group simply walked out; one without even wanting to try the wines and one that did not care to finish the tasting, and none of us purchased anything. Sadly, when you have these experiences in the tasting room, the wines never seem to make it into your own personal cellar. We did express our concerns with the lady that finished our last few pours, which she was very apologetic and embarrassed. Too bad that was not the original person to welcome us.
I had Eminent Domaine on my list for the last few months and was so thrilled to see they were open on Memorial Day!! Upon arrival it was very cozy tasting room with a patio looking out over the west end of the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The tasting room has the great feel of a family affair with two friendly dogs, the owner serving, and another server with a baby. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgable. The wine was AMAZING, we ended up buying a combined case. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time at Eminent Domaine. With winery is perched on top a hill with stunning western looking vistas to the Oregon Coastal Range. There is a patio situated on the back of the tasting room where you can sit and enjoy these amazing views. The staff was very informative about the wines as well as the horticulture of the vines themselves. One member of the staff walked us to the vineyard and explained how the vines are laboriously managed through the year. We also learned about the history of their cloned vines, the grafting and renewal process, and intricacies of growing Pinot Noirs.I found this to be a great place to not only taste great wines, but to also learn about them from informed and patient staff.
It doesnt get much better or much more beautiful than this. Eminent Domaine was the first stop on my wine tour and I was absolutely blown away by not only the small, family feel of the winery and the owners, but the view. The tasting room that they just completed is absolutely beautiful and the view is breathtaking! I already want to go back!
Great wines.. very nice experience with very helpful staff. Enjoyed it alot.
I went to Eminent Domain for the Solar Eclipse. I couldnt have picked a better location. The tasting room has a family feel and the view from the deck is absolutely breathtaking! The staff are helpful and knowledgable and will go the extra mile to make sure their customers are having a good experience. All their wine taste great and I highly recommend the 2014 Vintage Ribbon Ridge Reserve, which got a score of 96 from Wine Spectator. While there I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Jeff Meader, one of the sweetest, most gentle, caring souls Ive met in my wine adventures. The great wine, the caring and accommodating staff and the awe-inspiring views certainly made for a celestial eclipse experience. Thank you for a great time, Eminent Domain!
One of my favorite places to go... beautiful scenery and atmosphere... warm and welcome staff. Wine is delightful!
Terrible service. We went to this winery with a large group of 11...they refused to let us have a birthday cake inside but instead we could only have it on the grass in the rain. And the thing that really made me (as the organizer) angry was the fact that they would not honor their $20 tasting fee but if you buy one bottle the tasting fee was waived for larger groups. We bought 3 bottles...quickly drank one and left because this was not a welcoming atmosphere. The worst winery to end a day of a tasting tour. I will never be back along with the 11 people in my group.
Dont put this on your tasting tour... The service was slow and pretentious. Very small tasting room so dont go when it is raining. The wine was not anything special and extremely over priced compared to similar wineries in the area. Overall very poor experience.
This winery is in a great location, the view of surrounding vineyards is beautiful. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.Their pinot noirs are really fantastic.
Went with a large group on the weekend. When we first arrived it was busy but after it cleared out a bit a friendly young woman came out to where we were standing and offered to bring the tasting to where we were sitting! Ive been to Eminent Domaine several times now and each time the service is fantastic. All of the Pinots I tasted this August were delicious.I am honestly surprised by the two star review. It is not the biggest winery and weekends at wineries are busy, especially this one because they have the best Pinot Noirs.
Wonderful winery with great Pinot, views, and fabulous staff!
Great place to enjoy delicious wine with a view
As an Oregon resident Ive been to many of Oregons wine regions and wineries throughout the state. After visiting this past weekend Id have to say Eminent Domaine is my favorite! It helps that I love Pinots and Chardonnays. The 2015 Ribbon Ridge Estate Pinot Noir and the 2016 Chardonnay are phenomenal. But it is not just the outstanding wine. The staff at Eminent Domaine are, in my opinion, the best in the business. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. They know what their wine (and I learned Shawn is an Italian wine specialist) and helpfully suggested other fantastic wineries nearby. I dont go wine tasting dressed to the nines and I really appreciate that they treat me with the same interest and respect as anyone else.
The Willamette valley is home to the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in America, hands down. I stumbled upon this gem, off a gravel road in the Ribbon Ridge AVA a while ago and was impressed immediately. When I entered this uuber cool tasting room, I was greeted by Camille and Shawn, the tasting room staff, and was pleasantly surprised to see the owner, Jeff there as well. We started off with their Chardonnay, balanced and delicious, not too oakey, but round and rich. Now, we get to try the Pinot Noir.....wow! Their current vintage, the 2015, was delicious, and come to find out it got great reviews in the Wine Spectator. This winery is a must see and you can all thank me later.
Excellent newer winery with great potential
Absolutely loved everything about this place!
Best yet!
